I love the functionality of having my phone to control the remote start on my truck. The app itself is not great. The most annoying part is that it continually logs you out. The app is not compatible with saved passwords and the company that owns the app isn't named MyCar so I have to look up the name of that company before I can find the password. The result: I don't use my remote start for a few weeks ever once in awhile.

A service has gotten worse and worse over time. I've been with you for 3 years, and recently I'm being told all of my car starting issues is because I need to upgrade my antenna at my expense. You used to troubleshoot my car when I had issues prior. My subscription officially ended today, I will not be paying $99 to get the upgraded antenna with one year of service that cost $39 as a stand alone.the interface is horrible,the countdown doesn't work, I get red failed indicator lights when starts

I've had remote vehicle control apps in the past, mostly GM OEM. This is by far the most unsecured app! If you accidentally "pocket hit" any of the buttons, you'll have your car unlocked, trunk popped, etc. This actually happened to me where my trunk popped open when my finger accidentally touched the button. I later set confirmation for trunk, but there is no such thing for unlock! All other apps have two step confirmation for everything. Very limited app, not happy 😒

Not what it use to be. Originally purchased in 2018. Yearly price was $29 and it was reliable. 2019 price increased $10 and they took away the 3 year package that was $49 or $59. Then I started having issues, especially when it was below 32 degrees Fahrenheit,0 Celsius for you Canadians(Eh). Whenever it is cold it would fail over 60% of the time. Currently it's failing 15% of the time but it's because they want me to spend $100 to upgrade the hardware in the car. Why should I pay for an upgrade?

App has gotten better with time. When I first got the remote start unit and installed this app, I would have rated it a 2 at best. I was lucky if i could get it to work back then. It has gotten better over time (about 2 years now) and starts my vehicle a majority of the time. Every once in a while I have to force close the app and then try again and it works the second time. I'm not seeing the repeat failures others are reporting.

I think many of the negative reviews may be outdated. I installed my equipment myself about two weeks ago. Followed all provided wiring/programming documents exactly and have not had any issues with the app. It does take some time to update and give correct readings but it has never failed to start or lock/unlock my doors. Overall really solid app to pair with a great product. I will update this review if I experience any issues. Thanks for the great product!

This app is buggy. Worked perfectly for a while until my passenger tried to open the door when the start cycle was beginning. Hasnt worked right since. For a while it would start my truck, then just shut it off immediately. If I locked it using the app it would honk 3 times, then do the same thing. Oddly, the key fob worked perfectly. So I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and it worked again for a while, then started acting weird again. Same thing, started the truck then shut it off if using the app. Uninstall, reinstall, worked fine until I moved the icon on my phone to another screen then the whole process started over again. I contacted customer support online but must be only one person cause they said 'be right with you after I assist another person' and I gave up waiting after half an hour. So I emailed them and three days later no response. When it works, it works great...not sure if its an app issue or an issue with my phone, or both, but its supposed to be compatible. My patience is running out so I will probably have the shop replace it with a competitor. Update:if I close the app and restart it before each use it works. However, the countdown timer will randomly stop working once the screen times out. I feel like this app was not ready for market when released.

UPDATE - Shorty after leaving a comment back in early February, I was contacted by tech support. All fixed and working 100%. Terrible. I would give zero stars if I could. The whole point is to be able to start my vehicle from anywhere at ANYTIME. I can only start it at random times when the system seems fit to allow me. More often then not it can detect my vehicle and won't start. Been back to the installer several times and it works no better. Warning to everyone... find another option.

This app is terrible, doesn't work more than half the time. Everything is always greyed out and not connected. Plus the false starts. Not a good experience, especially compared to my previous app. (update) Changing my rating to 2 stars because the app has been working well the last few days. I like the interface aswell. (Update) The app has been work very well so I have changed my rating to a 4.

I Installed the app myself which can be very easily done. At first not all the features were working properly. It was my mistake because I setup the wrong protocol. I contacted tech support. They were very responsive. I was able to easily fix my mistake and the app/remote starter has worked great since. ○|||||||○

Good app design/intent. Poor reliability. Often have "Network issues". Factory fob starting is ridiculously impossible. Factory fobs loose the ability to unlock the vehicle if locked by app. This is especially bad when there are network issues and I'm locked out of the vehicle. Very expensive considering there were no additional key fobs included with the package I purchased. Also no one seems to know how much the subscription will cost. Is there a cost or is it included for lifetime??

GARBAGE APP! After 3 years of using this product, this app is absolute trash. Was sucked into buying this since it was the cheaper alternative...but you get what you pay for. During the cold months every year there is always issues. App won't work, truck shuts off after a few minutes of running and you don't know half the time if your vehicle is running. You always get "we are sorry" notifications from MyCar trying de-bug there software every winter. Buyer Beware!!!

I did see the bad reviews and got nervous. However mine arrived today. I installed and system worked GREAT! There is a slight delay if you try to start immediately after opening app...I dont think this is a real issue just that the app needs time to connect. Mine is connected to DBall3 and '16 Ford Fusion. I look forward to new features but very functional as is!

Half the time the app does not want to work properly. When I push a selection, it turns red instead of green. I have great connection to use the app, but this app just isn't doing its job! You have to close the app so many times to see if will actually work. SMH

The app used to work very well. For the past few months it doenst work properly. Shows that my car is started and then will shut the car off. Sometimes it shows that the car is started but when I go out to the car the lights are only on. Sometimes it won't start the car at all and says to try again. Doesn't consistently work. I've uninstalled and reinstalled many times thinking that will work Nope.

Update - got it working with some tech support. Starts the car like it should now. THANKS I installed the remote start in my daughter's car. She downloaded the app and registered her car. The app does not respond at all (grey buttons). We set up to make me a second user and the app will not finish installing on my phone after several attempts. This install made the car's line of sight key fob start twice the price for nothing.

The app works well, but Google integration needs work. If others are having the same issues, you can create a Google routine in Assistant to translate what you say into the commands MyCar expects. So Hey Google, "Start my car" starts the action "Ask MyCar controls to start my car". You will still be prompted for a pin, but it gets the app to work as expected. It also enables a more personable command like Hey Google, "Get the beast ready".

When the app works it is great but I don't count on it to work because it will work for a while after calling customer service. Which by the way customer service is top notch they're very prompt at getting it up and working again. But after a few times it stops working again. I am thinking it has to be a bug in the app. The 3 stars is only because of great customer service. The app needs some work and I hope it will be improved because when it works it is a great app.

For the only way to be able to start your vehicle it had better work. It doesn't. Sometimes it's spot on buy then you continuously push the start button and are met with that annoying failure sound. Restart app failure. Restart phone...failure. Make sure your stuff is tight. Samsung S10, app updated, software updated, nothing to excuse it. Brand new professional install. It's the app not the install.

Just installed an MPC remote start on My 2016 CRV. Following the guidelines I have successfully connected the app with my cat and for the last few days everything is working well. I am located in a Hotspot (Manhattan) so reception is good and always have contact. Only the basic options are available on my model, but still pretty good! Really hope this review won't jinx my experience! Cheers!

The app has been useless formore than a month now. As soon as I hit the cat starter button it would lose the connection to my car. All buttons in the app will be greyed out. Restarting / Reinstalling the the app does not help. Contacted the devs twice now and the issue is still not fixed. I regret paying 3 years for this.

Great idea. The implementation is spotty at best. 50% of the time, it works every time. 40% doesn't work at all. Then there's the 10% which is the worst case. 10% of the time there's a false positive, where the app responds like the vehicle started and nothing productive actually happens. The timer starts to count down and everything is green and the car is cold when I get there.

works great after customer service helped me out. I installed the equipment correctly but where I messed up was selecting the right protocol on initial setup. so i had issues, customer service was quick and responsive. pointed me in the right direction. now it works awesome. love the control i have right from my phone. all cars should have this.

2019 review update, the engineering team reached out to me and resolved the issue at hand. they put a lot of time and effort into my issue. 2020 update, seems they don't have the customer service like they use to in 2019. Still having the same issues as before when it's below 25 degrees it doesn't work 80% of the time, read other reviews & I'm not the only one that has this problem. Dec 2021 update, told that I would need to pay additional money for a upgrade in order to continue using this.

Been waiting a week for a response and a fix for this currently useless app. The app is not working, I emailed Dec 29th and it is now Jan 5 and still nothing. Terrible customer service. Horrible, what I thought was an awesome command start for my truck turns out to be a $700 waste of money. If I'm lucky my app works once out of every 10 times I've gone to use it. I've had to contact customer service due to my app being down for 3 days. Not impressed and would not recommend

When I needed this app. It was offline - again and I was stranded - again (December 22, 2021). The Rep couldn't help me either because they too were offline and didn't know when MyCar would be back up. This is not 1st time MyCar has failed me. Signal is spotty, inaccurate battery and temperature readings. However, this IS the first time I'm leaving a MyCar review.

What absolute utter garbage of an app. Every time I open the app the signal is not there even the car is only 20 feet from. Then is searches for the signal for atleast 5 minutes before I can start this. It has NEVER EVER started my car on the first try.
