Worst experience! the app doesnt allow you to recharge, online option doesnt work and the cable operator asks us to come to his office for every monthly recharge. To make things worse, the operator has changed and no other option other than just wasting our time and keep going to the local office. Bad service, worse experience.. Couldnt raise a complaint through the app either.
Has improved over time. But a lot is lagging. Hathway doesnt seem to care. To begin with, its almost a year now after trai's new regime came into force, but the app logs out automatically if you use back repeatedly or close the app (not log out) causing user to log in again and again. This is very annoying thing. Though the upgrade speaks of overcoming this issue, it actually does not work. Overall this is not a user friendly app. Hope the developers take this as an opportunity to improve.
Definitely one of the WORST apps. It has just SO MANY PROBLEMS - won't open when you need it, payment won't go through, If you hit back after choosing payment method then you have to wait another hour or so to make the payment again, and until recently I had to select the list of channels/packs every month before recharge. Finally they put an option where I can skip selecting channels. 1 star for this obvious innovation 👏😑
Rubbish app! Whats the use if I can't really select and choose what I want to watch. it's really pathetic. I have 2 television sets and can register only one on my cell number. and I have no control on what channels I want to watch. Can't do any changes online! What's the point of having an app! And oh yes! Submitting a complaint can only give you 'Network error' even when there is no problem with the network. I might as well shift to Tata Sky or Dish!
Very slow, most of the times it takes half hour of trying to open the app. Even after opening, it fails to login many times. Wallet history is not shown. It reverts to main page after bill payment instead of showing the paid receipt. But selection of channels is good, listing of selection, choosing the channels is good
The app doesn't work. Even if you have an active account it will show that the service /device is not associated with the account. The WiFi connection is very unreliable. It gets disconnected everyday and the router stays offline for min 3 hours everyday. The net connection is rarely bad. Its really difficult to sustain work from home with this Internet service provider during this lockdown period.
One of the worst app I did payment through online and I got error. Money got debited from my account. I raised a complaint with my merchant. They replied the transaction was successful. I don't see any transactions in history page. My local cable has collected cash as well. So I paid the amount double times the amount for a single bill. My suggestion is please don't use this app. This is easy way of earning the money
One of the worst app i have come across. I have seen Advertisement saying we can choose our own channels. But unfortunately no.. We are trying to reach our local operator, he neither responded for our calls nor called back. Also tried connecting tollfree number but again failed to connect there. we are unable to lodge a complaint in App or make the payment though. Pvt Operators are way beyond helpful.
They have kept not a single way to reach them. The "contact us" tab is blank. The "register a complaint" doesn't work. it shows error every time. i tried to raise the below complaint but every time it shows "a network error has occured" complaint:"most of the channel displays are breaking, specially hd channels. when i went to the local office, they said machine burnt down in our locality but that was 3 days ago.but this issue is going on since long.channel displays are breaking."
Dear team, Clearly, your app is not well equipped to handle this amount of traffic. You certainly didn't anticipate that so many people would use your app. Asking for improvements to your app during this lockdown period isn't prudent. Hence, kindly find some alternative ways to aid people recharge their TV cable connections. Good luck to you.
Most f***** up service is by hathway. Do not have a single channel on my tv. Also unable to pay the bill, select channels, cant do a single thing. Each time as we click on the button 'pay' on the app or the hathway website, there's always a message that says, 'Oops! Sorry cant take it forward. Please try again later.' This has been going on for over a week. The worst service there is.
Monopoly by local cable operator. Worst app because you cannot recharge from this app. Even I can't recharge from this app it says contact to your local cable operator. There is no ease provided in app for customers. There is monopoly run by local cable operator. I request all users to give genuine review so that it will affect. There are many options you can choose think before getting service from hathway.
Never expected hathway will do this, nt able to recharge, change the package, add or delete the channels through this app. They ve completely stopped the service of this app. It's telling to contact the local cabel operator to do any, the operator is hopeless. Planning to change to Jio Fibre.
D grade application, first the number of channels to select from does not match the actual availability since some are not permitted to be broadcasted or do not exist, secondly the payment gateway does not even work! I tryed both billdesk and the Paytm option but it does not intitiate the gateway! To top it all if you pay the bill, you cannot add channels you forgot to add for a month! Then the customer exec will pester you to recharge 5 days before the due date, but no actions on complaints!
Latest version asks for login each time we open app. Worst app, worst cable TV service by Hathway. Packs are very expensive than before with very few channels. STB has very bad UI with frustrating options. Many channels can't be favorited. Also, can't directly go to a channel that has 4 digit no. like 1134. Dear, TRAI,DoT, & beloved GOI, thanks for torturing cable TV users just like you did during demonetization. This new framework is just to help private people, industrialists.tis is a big loot
Worest app and waste service.. their app will not login and their customer care number will not work ... !! But when it comes to bill payment they call you until you pay the bill. After that no one will resolves any issues.. I recommend go for other services. Local network providers way better then hathway.
Very bad experience with new plan and app need to be upgraded with proper supporting features. There was no proper response on concern raised, always request will goes with some error issue. No wallet option was available before and Hathway was suppose to transfer advance payment into my account wallet, instead of that whole payment consumed with no notification to the customer.
App is disaster. Even if I entered all required details the OTP is not getting generated. Such a waste of time. Team please look into this for smooth functioning of the app. If the application is not functioning smoothly you could lose your customers in no time. Hope to see improvement in this application. All of the modifications seems to be still controlled by the local cable operators. Then why a need for an app? The Bouquet does not seem to be having other regional channels in it. Looks like the channel listing is being controlled locally
This app is by far the worst app I've ever seen, we can't pay for our channels, we can't add money to the wallet whenever we want to. To much buggy and all the bill desk payments gets cancelled for no reason so it's a pretty bad app. I've would've rated it zero if it was possible.
I installed this app thinking that it will make it easy to make online payment. It is major disappointment as the app has no practical use. There is no facility provided in app to bring comfort to customers. Rather this app brings headache. There is cart in the app which always shows one item added. However when you will try to add new channels or pack to your cart, there is no option for it. Really pathetic app and even pathetic website of hathway both of them serve no purpose to help customers.
Not able to recharge through App. It takes too much time to select the channels. And after selection your desired channels while making payment, once you click on make payment and select either of the 2 options i. e. Bill desk or PayTM. Again you are thrown back to the channel selection page. This happens again n again.
Worst customer service, not at all helpful, no facility to call these people or even complaint online.Local service providers doesn't pick up the calls. All the numbers available on the app seemed to be a wrong number. Cannot contact if facing these problems. It's showing negative balance in the account for 1 month subscription in which none of channels were available during the applied TRAI act. Even after paying the older and the new subscription there are no channels available yet.No help
absolutely useless & a waste of time. the customer care doesn't help, most of the time they are unreachable. the app's payment option doesn't work, after choosing the ala cart channels it resets to basic payment again. hathway's service guy took 500/- activation in December 2018 & still nothing has been done.. it is 2019 April end now. pathetic service.
Absolutely horrible experience, I'm never able to pay via Paytm. The only payment option that works also doesn't reflect into the account! I paid via my Debit card and after entering the OTP the page timed out. The money got deducted from my bank account but my TV was never recharged! Horrendous!!
Just won't let you login easily even if the credentials are right. And there's a limit to number of times you can try to login. UI is pathetic. Not a responsive design. Lastly, even after you pay, the payments won't reflect in the app. After you call the customer service team, they will confirm the receipt payment, but app shows not paid and you end up paying multiple times.
