The app "can't connect to headphones " even though I'm literally listening to music or using it at the moment. 85% of the time it takes 3 or 4 times to open and use. Tonight I couldn't get it to work at all. What's the point of the app? Great products, terrible apps. UPDATE 5/23/22 Better but won't connect every 3rd or so time. Still not user friendly and you can't do too much with it anyway. No changes on stars.
It would be nice if the controls were *truly* customizable. The only customization it offers is to choose which "set" of controls will be assigned to the left or right earbud. For example, you could assign volume controls to the left earbud and phone call controls to the right. But you cannot change what the single/double taps do. So if you wanted double tap left to be volume down and double tap right to be volume up, you can't do that. I have no idea why manufacturers build and promote their customization features, but then only implement it halfway.
Actually quite like these! The app does seem to help a bit with connectivity, especially since I updated firmware. Quality of Life-if you want to swap connections, for example, to a PC or other device? Disable the Bluetooth on your phone, put these back in the charging case, and then connect your device! You may also need to "forget device" in the Bluetooth menu to swap the connection back to your phone. Also, when connecting the app, must wait until lights go blue before removing from case.
Has great features, but sometimes it won't recognize my device unless I reset the buds, which involves removing and reinserting them - can be annoying if I'm all ready to go. Edit: wherever I open the app it makes my buds cut in and out until it fully loads/recognizes the buds....down to 2 star. Once it works the ambient aware is fantastic, I'll say that much.
Every time I put one of the earphones back in the case, the other one starts giving me a cacaphony of enhanced surrounding sounds, the automatic, unturnable-off by default, feature of Ambience Aware. And every time I have to open the app, wait 10 seconds for it to finally open properly and tap the switch button to finally disable it. Inability to customize gesture options for each gesture (tap once-twice, left-right), only predetermined group settings. Equilizer randomly creating new profiles.
The app is great per what I can do with the headphones I bought. But I don't understand why they're automatically set to ambient when I put them in my ear. I expected a certain standard when I bought them. Ambient is auto no matter what and you have to download the app if you want to turn it off and then open the app every time you connect just to turn it off and switch to noise cancellation. I don't see the perk in this at all. Go with a different brand and save money. So disappointed :(
This app works great when it connects, but that is not often. I spend more time uninstalling and reinstalling than using the actual features. Quite often if the ear buds connect, I am not actually connected to the app so I can not adjust. Sound cuts in and out. I am not sure if this is the apps issue, but I can not toggle easily between connected devices. I have to disconnect or even uninstall completely just to switch from phone to tablet. Never had these problems with other ear buds/apps.
This is a great idea, but unfortunately it fails in it's execution. When the app works it really increases the sound quality on my JBL Live 300tws ear buds. This app often fails to connect. When it does the audio signal cuts in & out constantly, despite the fact that the connection is rock solid without using the app throughout the 1800 square feet of my home. Time to work with the EQ function is just seconds before it returns to the home screen, so it's useless.
Great purchase, love the fit, size and sound quality is superb. I use the app for the different eq settings. Battery last all through my work day and after. For those who like a little bass with your tunes these earbuds are a great choice. A little more than I would usually pay for but well worth it. All in all great product.
Love the connection and sound. But can't seem to keep the earbuds in my ears. They are for some reason they keep falling. This is very annoying. Also if you take one earbud out it interrupts the program you are listening too. Every time I get a call, the person on the other end only hears static and cars. I use them for only music now ☹️
This app worked for about a day. I was really excited about the ambient aware option. It worked really well. After one day of it working, it decided not to work anymore. I've tried reinstalling the app, and reconnecting them several times but nothing worked. Wish they could fix this problem so I could use the features I paid for
An entirely broken app on Android 10 / Galaxy M20. Every attempt to to do something crashes the page or reverts back to the first load page. I can't even delete the base profile it created to try a clean start. I can't mod anything on my Reflect Mini as a result. This app needs a rewrite. It's a mess, especially considering the cost of these earbuds.
Great App. Would've liked more detailed instructions on the use of the equalizer and it's effects. But that's more of a personal request. Works great, easy to use. Sometimes headphones stop being listed and you have to re connect it.
Why do I have to waste half an hour trying to connect when earphones and case and phone are all on my lap, paired and working but the app still 'doesn't see' them? Reinstall didn't solve the issue so currently can't access my earphones via app. Also no Ireland in list if countries, selecting 'remember my choice' does nothing, going back throws you back to main selection and asks for your region again.... Come on.. Expected more from JBL.
Works well for me across multiple devices. I'm able to switch between my phone and tablet with little effort. Samsung devices auto try to auto-connect, which is great, but you need to tap BT off the device you're disconnecting from to connect to your other device.
It is a really good app for having to switch between the different variations of noise-canceling and ambient background music while talking with somebody as well as activating it through your earbuds but I have one little problem that the app pulls up when I try to turn the screen sideways on any other app so I have to pull the app off just one little thing but it doesn't stop from being a very good app for navigating my earbuds
I'm starting to think $70 was way too much for these headphones. The music cuts out randomly and I've only had them for about a month. If I get too far from the case they immediately stop working entirely but it won't even be that far. (ex. in a bag besides the treadmill while I'm on the treadmill in the gym) Also they don't stay in even when I'm sitting completely still and I've changed the earbud sizes several times. Really not worth it
Everytime I try connecting to the app it says can't find headphones then it connects and disconnects I thought it was my phone so I factory reset everything but now seeing that others are experiencing the same problem and the apps'developers haven't even responded to any of those reviews or tried to fix this ongoing issue is such poor service. Just scamming the hundreds of dollars people paid for... cant even use the features the headphones are capable of.
Thus app is garbage I can't ever get the head phones to connect other than with my regular Bluetooth. There is no way to get them to connect and I can't use any of the additional features. I could get the same thing with a 20 dollar set of Bluetooth ear buds from Walmart
I really like these headphones...they present a big and solid sound but are also able to produce a delicate and detailed delivery too. Very comfortable even after several hours using them. Good noise cancellation as well. Great headphones and excellent value for money. Highly recommended!
Great app but does have its flaws, if you leave the app but then want to go back in to change settings, you can not access the settings for a 2nd time. You have to disconnect Bluetooth then reconnect to Bluetooth then it will allow you to go back into earbud settings
The headphones sound good the app is just bad. I have no idea why they can't just load the options into the hardware of the headphones. Instead you have the app. It constantly loses connection, half the time doesn't work, it doesn't manage the headphones correctly and if you accidentally let them disconnect from that phone you have to start everything over. Instead of building the headphones with the features they are trying to use this app and that's a very bad model.
