My JBL SOUNDBOOST2

Skips and pops. The app makes any sound skip and pop when it is turned on. The speaker sounds great when it is turned on, but the popping sound is incredibly distracting. It's like listening to a scratched record. Also, the app doesn't turn on automatically. It would be nice if it turned on and remembered the settings automatically. I feel like all these are simple software fixes if they wanted to. If they fixed these bugs, easily 5 stars

Sound gets spotty, volume spikes, then it'll get lower; makes listening to music just unbearable quickly. I swear it used to work better, but not in a long time. It seems to be linked to the Dirac option. Not that the EQ makes music sound different at all, either. Meh EDIT: I was wrong, it's the EQ function for whatever reason. Not sure what Dirac does besides make it louder, though

I cannot really say much about it, since it won't even start. Have installed it three times on a brand- new Moto Z2 phone and opening it results in a message saying "JBL Soundboost2 keeps stopping". And that is the extent of interaction I get from the app. Bizarre.

I like the concept of the app but it literally makes ofter apps freeze like crazy half the time and to fix it I kill the jbl app and everything works fine, when I change songs or a new YouTube video comes on the app makes the sound go super loud and distorted for about 1-2 secs.. But when the app is not giving me trouble it's amazing

It does make a difference, but often enough, there seems to be some type of sound glitch or interruption like a bad connection. This is why I Uninstalled it before. I forgot about it and installed it again. After it happened, I remembered why I uninstalled it in the first place.

worked great a few times, now either the speaker or the app isn't working. when connected i only hear static. Played with settings. restarting the phone. reloading the app. nothing i found fixed the issue. way to expensive to stop working this quickly.

This used to work perfectly on my original Moto Z Play (don't get me started on how much better the first gen was compared to subsequent versions but this app makes the audio stutter and skip. I don't expect these issues to be resolved because nobody actually cares about a 2 year old mid-range phone.

excellent sound quality, best speaker for my Moto. however its been doing some crazy volume changes/increase when a new song comes on. very annoying. when those get fixed I'll put my stars back up to 5 and reinstall it.

I really enjoy how this app enhances the sound but it can use some work like a better EQ and it would be nice if it would stay on untill it was turned off and it won't remember my settings half of the time turns itself off other then that I really enjoy the app and the speaker

When it's working it sounds great, however it seems to turn off every time the next song comes on. I have to then restart it to hear the equalized sound. No clue why this happens

Love the sound this app brings to the already amazing Soundboost2. would give 5 stars fir settings to allow the app to turn on automatically when connected and save equalizer settings. also would be great to have customer eq settings.

Simple control's. Works consistently. Sound modes are discernable. No complaints. Would like to see an update allowing more sound modes while playing movies/videos. I'm not experiencing any popping or static. I'm running the soundboost 2 on my Moto Z4.

5 stars if the app will auto-launch when speaker is connected, auto-close when disconnected, and remember the previously applied settings. Dirac does improve the sound, but having to open the app to apply settings every time the mod is connected is tedious.

This app causes unacceptable skipping and popping. Sure it makes the speaker louder, and arguably adds some further enhancements, but it does more harm to your audio than it does good. It's useless.

Installed the app, opened it up and get pulsating sound peaking full volume and it stays that way as long as it's on equalizer. Volume control doesn't work.

Pretty handy for improving the sound, but the app keeps running when the speaker mod is disconnected. App has to be force closed which should never ever be required.

In theory a perfect app, but it seems "theoretical" is all it might ever be as it continues NOT to work. Cannot get past the snap-on intro screen. Nice speaker, useless app.

popping sound keeps interrupting the audio unless the volume is reduced about 50%....very aggrevating. otherwise it sounds great. fix the popping and i would give it 100% approval. used on a Motorola force z.

makes the music louder but skips and pops and makes it sound horrible like a broken record. it worked fine on my old z2 on this one it doesnt at all. PLEASE FIX THIS!!!

Creates a distorted sound and small skips every fifteen seconds or so. Also, doesn't turn on when you attach the speaker. Seems like one of the most simple apps I've ever used, yet JBL is apparently incompetent.

did anybody read, is that was made only for the soundboost 2. any other speaker it will not operate it. if your JBL has a USB mini plug to charge the battery then you do not have a sound boost 2 or if it cost you seventy or more dollars. if I find an app will work with the JBL sound boost with battery pack I will post it where to find it and the exact name.

It cuts out on the volume often. I'll be listening to a set volume then it will cut down. I know it's this app bc when I don't have the app on it doesn't do it.

Cant get app to close after disconnecting mod. Audio lags, plays out of phone speaker for just a moment before playong out of the soundboost, especially annoying when skipping 10 seconds on YouTube.

App works sorta works but gets annoyingly choppy. It tends to cut out or break up momentarily when using app. Speaker works fine with app off. Update needed soon to fix buggy app

Moto Z3 play and Android 9 Pie: Some sort of distortion, like skipping and popping, makes this app unusable. The speaker works fine without the app.

Would be a great app if it were not for the very loud/obnoxious "click" sound that happens every time I use this app so I had uninstalled the app since the sound was unbearable...if this was fixed it would be a very good app

So far, I can't even get it to open. Literally just tries to open then disappears and tell me it's stopping and to close the app.
