A very much functional app. The plant selection doesn't have as many species as I'd like, but the ones it does have are pretty thorough and you can still plan for the ones it doesn't have (just without the built-in recommendations). Most of the visuals are really good, however, I strongly dislike the cropping system (no set ratio and no autocropping as an alternative) and how it stretches photos to fit the shape. Definitely not a feature I'm a fan of, but other than that, it's pretty good!
I just downloaded it a little while ago, and really like the interface and layout. I do wish I could add a custom one time event (ie. Fertilize plant on May 25) or else be able to set the frequency to longer than 60 days for the plants that have more sporadic care. Also it sounds like import/export ability is being worked on, and that would be such a great feature as it takes a while to input everything, I wouldn't want to lose it.
Great interface, but its reminders are faulty. I love the way that this app looks and has many good features that let you customize your plants' schedules. Unfortunately where it lacks though is in its reminder system which is what I got the app for. It doesn't always give me a notification when it's time to water my plants. Whenever I mark a plant as having been watered, it will give me a false notification the next day saying that it needs to be watered. I want to like this app.
Out several garden manager apps I've tried, I've narrowed down my favorites to this and another one. I especially love that you can customize tasks instead of having to choose from a list. It would be nice to be able to duplicate plant entries so I can just copy the same tasks for different varieties of the same plant instead of having to make a new entry from scratch.
Berry easy to work with, great task option and I love the history for each plant so I can see when I last watered. And for people saying the notification doesn't work, they're wrong, it does. You only have to turn on 'loud' notification for each task. There are in app notifications (Wich put them on the task list) and loud ones (this one also sends a notification).
this is one of the better apps of its kind, HOWEVER having flexible schedules (e. g. summer/winter) is a must. almost none of these apps realize that, please do! the app is utterly useless without it! the interface is quite nice though, I love that you can add plants from a library instead of typing all the details for a freakin aloe in yourself. I could do without some or all of the animations, interface feels a bit slow because of them. π edit: still unusable but best of the bunch by far!
Finally a plant care app that does everything I want! I've tried 8 other plant care apps which all had pros & cons, but this seems to do it all. A big key for me was being able to see my last watering day, so I know if I have the correct cycle set. I can make and edit notes really easily, and it is intuitive to use. Very happy so far.
I like it but I see features that would make it more useful. I would love to see a feature where you could file the plants by room or areas of the house and inside and outside. I would also like to see the species to be more "vague". For example, not all Snake plants are sansevieria trifasciata and there are so many monstera, not just 3. Why not just make an option for sansevieria. And there are no succulents. It would be easier to search if you could create your own and it would save it.
Wonderful. I downloaded half a dozen other apps before I found this one. Others were always missing one feature or another but this app has it all: a catalog of events, a way to edit past actions, being able to edit reminders by any number of days, a way to save and restore data, and easy to use. I'm so glad I found it.
Would've given 4 or 5 stars if the paid version wasn't daylight robbery. The apps awesome but I don't wanna be paying 2.50 a month just to have more than 6 photos of a plant. Please consider changing it to a one time payment, a subscription for this service is ridiculous. 2.50 as a one time payment would've been more than what the plus version should cost considering the limited features it adds but I'd probably have paid it if it weren't recurring.
Latest update wiped out all my data. I just don't feel like putting all the data back in right now. Will probably re-download in the future to see some updates on the load speed. And hope to be able to not only create a custom task, but also to automatically choose it from the menu on all the plants. Keep up the good work π
Since expanding my plant collection, I have tried a lot of plant related apps but this one is the best. You can jot down each plant and set individual reminders for the watering/feeding schedules. You can also store progress pics and there's space for extra notes. This app won't teach you everything about the care of each species, but im seeing some great growth with just the watering schedules!!
I love this app. As a beginner plant enthusiast, I need something to keep me organized and on schedule. This app is helping me stop over watering my plants! The only reason i did not give 5 stars is that I set all watering alarms as "loud" but I don't receive a notification at all. I set all notifications to go off at 10 am but they won't go off until i open the app. Does it have to be running at all times in the background for it to work?
2nd update: I haven't seen an ad in several days so it appears the issue has been fixed. Still some small bugs surrounding notifications but overall I'm back to loving this app. // Update (2 stars): There's a really annoying bug where ads still show even after paid version of the app has been purchased. Developer is aware. // Original review (5 stars): Great app. Intuitive. One big plus for plant parents; one giant plus fort plantkind.
Pretty good, but I do have some QoL improvements to suggest. (1) Make it possible to swipe through photos per plant. Useful when trying to compare 2 photos. (2) Wish that the photos and notes are linked to the calendar. So, if we tap on a date, it brings up any photos or notes or tasks on that date.
I installed so many plant management apps and this one was by far the best, it lets me name and add photos of my plants, set up watering alarms, has alot of common plant species to help inform you about care and doesnt have most of its features locked behind a premium wall. It doesn't have photo identification but they're usually pretty inaccurate, you can always get another app for that anyway. the only down point is I've set my alarms to happen at 9am but they turn up at 10pm for some reason?
I love this! The design is clean and very easy to use. I love being able to see all my plants in one place and checking up on who might need attention soon. A few things: I would like to select dates earlier than 09'17 for my older plants also I think the age of the plant should have years and months as well rather than "143 weeks". -I wish the pics under "More Photos" were a little less compressed (not really a big issue) -In dark mode only it's hard to read the species selection box β₯οΈπΏπ΅π
Great app! On cloudy weeks my plants don't drink up as much water, so the watering frequency can change week to week. I would like to see the option to add a few days to a plant on the schedule. Maybe swipe left to mark as done and swipe right to add two days. That would be amazing!
11.18.20 Went down 2 more stars. The app is so unstable. Can't even do ANYTHING in it anymore. It won't even stay open long enough for me to mark a task as complete 11.17.20 Had to go down a star. App crashes completely or flashes to home screen when adding a pic to plant profile. For the most part I really like the app...I just downloaded it again for the 3rd time. Not even 2 hours into using it, the app had crashed 4 times..
I really want to love this app. It's the only one that I can add custom tasks to (i.e. preventative care). The plants seem limited, I can't find plants that are fairly common in US. Since the last update, it freezes up when I try to switch plants and then freezes my phone (Samsung Note 9). I'm trying other apps, but I really like the custom care option and layout of this one. Unfortunately, with the bugs now, it's just not usable for me. Super bummed.
