I Love this app

I like this app because it's another interface to use my library on google books (over 2000 books), but ... To be really useful, 3 problems need solving: Sorting the shelves alphabetically / adding books by title or ISBN / decent search in own library

Like the layout & that covers are shown; don't like that the books can't be separated by genre within the app. I tried adding a "shelf" but the app can't do that. You're sent to Google but the shelf never appears inside the app itself. We have several hundred books, many different genres, & need the books sorted by type instead of having everything grouped together as a "favorite" (yes, that's what the app named the 1 shelf.) Because of that, this app is not a good tool.

I like the idea, but it definitely needs more. I love that it can access my Google Books. I do wish that it was able to access my Kindle books as well. I'm finding that I have a copy of a book in both Google and Kindle which is not so good. If they could just access both then I wouldn't double purchased books.

It worked fine when I first downloaded it, over a year ago. Now it will not let me add any books or even catagorize them by type, genre, or add a review. Deleted it. What a waist of time. I have over 3000 books.

@Developer: please look into the following issue: the counter of books in a shelf with more than 99 books is getting truncated in the sidebar to two numbers. e.g. 100 will become 10. (w/ Nexus 4, 5X). Problem persists since 2013. 2015/12: no longer syncs.

I keep buying doubles of books I already own when I go to thrift shops and library sales. I have a literal home library so it's not hard to forget what I have and haven't got yet. So after making several dubious purchases "just in case" yesterday, I went looking for an app and found this. It isn't perfect, but it does what I want it to do. I had to download the barcode scanner--no problem--and then I was able to start scanning books. It was a bit of a pain to have to get into google to add a shelf for owned books, but nothing major. My biggest problem is just that so many of my books do not have barcodes or have ones that do not scan, so I end up having to type them in. I expected that though. So now once I get all of my books scanned I can take my phone with me and search my library if I'm not certain if I own a book or not. Just exactly what I needed! The barcode scanner needs improvement but I'm sure that's the fault of the scanner app.

Not able to add any new book . Search fails for any book title or author

This app is good with the fact that you can scan in all of your books, though this feature doesn't work sometimes. This would be five stars if it added the feature to alphabetize your books.

Hand and easy to use but need the ability to add books that are not on the database, or to simply let you add a book it can't find manually.

I like the features of this app, I use it to read aloud my Google books, I like the Shelf feature but at the moment I can't deselect a shelf which is why this app has 4 instead of 5 stars.

Works OK and I like the bar code reader feature but hard to find items you've added, I didn't see a way to add a book that wasn't found by the app's search, couldn't add comments,....

Needs serious upgrades, including: * ability to add books by author and/or title without using barcode when barcode finds no results, which is more often than not *search/sort/filter by author and/or title *group by author, title and series *remove unused shelves *rename shelves so you don't have to create new ones *find more books & older books - it didn't find half of my JR Ward or James Rollins books, and found none of Shirlee Busbee or Rebecca Brandewyne *bulk add by author - find an author's list of books, and check all the ones you want to add to a specific shelf *add book club versions of books to results/db *refresh faster - I added books as quickly as it would let me, but it would only refresh when I closed app and reopened.

This is helpful as a catalog for my library. To improve, the app needs the option to check-off read books. I believe this is an option users would be happy to pay for.

This is a great app for cataloging your library into Google books.. It would be even better if you could do a simple search to see if you already own a particular book with a filter.

I use to be able to search new books and add them. Now I can't add new books or switch which shelf they are on

Some books, even a few new ones don't have a barcode... There seems to be no way to add those manually.

Good for just looking at Google information, not much good for personal libraries at home.

Perfect, simple, effective. No glitches yet. This is not a reader. This is just for cataloguing.

I was looking for something that actually works. I have scanned the first 10 of the over 2000 titles in my personal library only to discover that none of these ten titles have been found, nor saved into this app. Plus, when trying to add a shelves it's disclosed that I must go to My Library Web to do so. A step that really must be eliminated. Another issue I have is that the scanner that coincided with this app requires access to way more personal information than should be needed.

Nice app...be a bit better if could sort books you have read by alphabetical order

It works well. It'd be great if I can export my list to share with friends.

I think its a waist of time and space on your phone

Works great. I can add books with scan bar-code or search option without any issues. Currently this I my number one bookshelf app, it has everything I need; description, reviews, author, publish date, page count. Absolutely Awesome!!! I would love some kind of export option. I want to print out a list with pictures of all my books and their categories I place them in. I wouldn't mind paying for those features.

While it is a good app for book collections, it would be nice to add DVD and game collections as well
