I've used the free version but thought I'd pay for pro thinking I'd get something extra! This app tells me there's been a strike in my area when there hasn't and today we've had strikes over head and the app did nothing!! I may aswell get my money back.
Paid for the app. Majority of the time the radar does not work & lately I get notifications for lightning and when I look, it is not showing any.
A very good app for my weather arsenal! Don't see a lot of severe weather in Utah but I love the layout! Would highly recommend!
All good for lightning which is what the app is for but the radar section as per previous comments could do with storm direction and maybe a bit more precise cloud and rain forecast as it is raining where I am and its telling me there is nothing within 100 kms of me Cheers

Very nice lightning notification app. I especially like the fact that you can choose the radius for lightning notifications. Many apps with lightning notifications don't have a distance setting. I have two feature suggestions, which would make this a 5-star app in my opinion. First suggestion would be to display "cloud to cloud" or "cloud to ground" when a user taps on a strike symbol. The second feature suggestion would be to include an "all clear" message after there have been no additional lightning strikes in your area within a user selectable time period. Still though, this is a very nice app for its intended purpose, and has worked reliably for me so far.
An option to unpack grouped bolts is necessary! The yellow beach balls provide no useful information other than 'there's a storm in that county.' Yea, no kidding. Sure, I can zoom in, but by the time the individual strikes and storm movement patterns are resolved, the storm is in my lap. After a season of monsoon lightning chasing, I rarely use this app, preferring the lightningmaps web page. Also, on-screen zoom buttons would save much pinching.
When I use the app and tap for a lighting distance from my home it always shows 24.7 miles away even when the lightning is on my street!! I live in the lightning capital of the U.S and do not receive the information I need. The notifications do not come frequently enough at all! This app is unreliable during a storm. UPDATE: I received a timely email from the developer. My problem is resolved and I love this app. The only improvement would be a time on the notifications without going to the app.

It's a great app, but in order to see the motion of the storm properly I need the app to stop combining strikes into big yellow circles. Yes I can zoom in to see more, but then I'm so zoomed in I cannot see where I am, especially over the sea. Please give the option to remove this condensing option. Then you get 5 stars!
excellent app I'd say it's 99.9% accurate. Best app I've found by far
If you are outside hiking, walking downtown or preparing to have a barbecue, I will get notified if the storm is coming.
I primarily use the app for checking to see if I can swim or not due to lightning. Which it really good at. The only thing I think could be improved is being able to show two radiuses so I can be warned when lightning is close to the radius where I can't swim and the other is the radius I can't swim.
A very interesting app. Also includes a configurable distance based lighting warnings. Works as expected, interface is functional. Lightning strikes register in a few moments, and it appears that it's accuracy is measured in feet, not miles, yet covers the entire USA!
Very nice app, a little buggy but nice. Screen movement, pinch and zoom needs a little work. The most annoying part of this app,is the oop up screen when you start the app, "no lightning strikes in the laat 6 minutes. Please loose that notification every time the app is started. Thanks for making this app.
Very accurate. A must have for all weather geeks.
Pros: - Simple clean app. - Easy to see everything without loads of menus etc. Cons: - Accuracy seems dubious. I compare it to the Blitzentorg website. - The yellow group circles should be an option, as they hide too many strike points, unless zoomed in a lot, then the yellow circles disappear and the strikes expand out from it, so the yellow circles don't actually encompass the area of strikes. The strikes could be limited in dense areas, and increase resolution / count when zoomed instead.

Pretty good. Please add an extra circle to the most recent strike in my chosen area. This extra circle will disappear when a newer strike in my chosen area occurs. When this newer strike happens it thus sports the same identifying extra circle. I want to see quickly exactly where the most recent strike happens.
