Grocery shopping made easy with your grocery list at your fingertips wherever you are. The metro.ca application has personalized tools that will save you time and money.
- Shopping list: Create your shopping list by:
- adding products directly from your usuals, the flyer, the available coupons, or the recipes;
- entering the item manually or use the proposed suggestions that appear as you type;
- scanning the barcode of an item;
Your list is conveniently categorized to simplify shopping. When in-store, check-off the items you put in your basket one by one and don’t forget an item again.

-Synchronize your shopping list: If you have a metro.ca account, login directly in the application and the list on the web site will automatically synchronize with the one you did on your computer. Create a list anywhere and access it anywhere and more conveniently in the store. To synchronize on multiple devices, each device must use the same metro.ca account.

-Flyer: Consult the flyer and add products to your grocery list. Personalized flyer deals make it easier than ever to find deals on item you love!

-Coupons: There’s no need to print your coupons anymore. Show your smartphone at checkout to redeem the coupons added to your grocery list.

If you are a loyalty program member, simply provide your loyalty card number and get access to personalized coupons on the products you like.

-My usuals: Easily create your shopping list by starting with the items you usually buy.

-Weekly Menu: Get inspired with recipes selected just for you based on the flyer deals.

-Store Locator: You are looking for the Metro store closest to you, use the store locator. You will have access to the store’s information and services.

-My Healthy Plate Program: Find the smiles to discover our registered dieticians’ choices. We’ve added smiles to the evaluated products you add to the list so you can easily find the good options within different product categories.

-Language of the application is automatically detected based on the device language settings.

Can't really use it because of the force notification - every few seconds the app popup a question asking if you want notification, answers are: Yes, Maybe Later, No, whatever you choose it open your notifications settings and the only way to stop it is to open all notifications et say yes. And even if my default setting was already at No, the popup was persisting, like every 5-10 sec. IGA app works much better and don't force me any notifications! Fix your things if you want me to use it...

The last few updates have added some very frustrating blips: when I add an item from flyer view it takes me back to the first page of the flyer, or to the current flyer if I'm looking at the upcoming one; items I've added to my list disappear randomly; my usuals disappear randomly. I've been patiently waiting for an update that would solve the issues, but it's been a few months now. It's not worth the headache anymore. UPDATE NOV 12 2020: Yes, the issues still exist. I've uninstalled the app.

The app is very clunky, most of the functions do not work properly and it's an absolute mess to navigate. Compared to, say, Pc Optimum, they have miles to catch up to in terms of user experience and instinctiveness. The rewards milestones are not intuitive and the frequent bugs (Not able to see flyer, cannot get the rewards sent to my card, the app keeps asking got notifications permissions CONSTANTLY) make it a pain to use.

Love using this for shopping. Click on flyer images and the items are added to your shopping list. BUT.... I would like to see this bug fixed: after adding an item, when you go back to continue you are taken to the beginning of the flyer rather than the place you were when you added the item. This is annoying because you have to scroll forward to find where you left off to continue shopping.

Can't get it to work on my phone. First it asks for your Metro account email address and password, then it asks you to scan your Air Miles card or enter it manually, but if you choose "I don't have a card" (which I don't), it just sets the display to maximum brightness (!) and shows a frame that looks like a blank Air Miles card. I suspect it's trying to get me to sign up for a card, but there are no controls allowing you to do that or dismiss the dialog, rendering the app useless.

Have used this app before without issues. For the last year or so, I have been unable to use my rewards (nearly 70$ worth). When I click to subscribe to digital rewards, I get an error stating "A 7-day delay after obtaining your card...". I have had my card for well over 7 days. I have dealt with support before, ZERO results. I have deleted and reinstalled the app several times. Please fix this, because it seems to be an issue for many users!

In recent versions of the app, when you add items to your shopping list from the flyer, clicking the back button takes you to the very start of the flyer instead of where you were just at. It makes it quite laborious to add items to your list since you always have to scroll back to find your place. It used to work correctly, so hopefully this will be fixed soon.

It has good features for making shopping lists, adding/using coupons and air miles promotions, but everytime I view the flyer it popups an allow notification message that takes you out of the app even if you choose no, then when you go back to the the app to view flyer, it starts all over again. Unusable. Use flipp app if you need to look at the flyer.

The app itself is alright even if I have to click on choices a few times before I can actually get to where I am trying to go . The part that annoys me to no end is that I can't see my points balance and I can't even register to get my "reward cheques" anywhere. It would be nice to actually save money one day, since it is the only reason why I started grocery shopping at your store...

Please revert it back. The app was working well. The new features drive me nut. The airniles card keeps showing when I turn my phone slightly. I don't need to see it every time I turn my phone. What is the point of this feature? I added the card once and that is it. I do not need to see my card again. It does nothing to shopping. And please have the shopping screen back So when I open the app I can start shopping. I don't need to look at my profile or my offer. They are all there when shop.

This app is very terrible! You learn the delivery date only at the checkout. If the date is too far away and you want to change to pick up in store, there is no way. There is no way to cancel your purchase. Even if you delete the items from the cart one by one and restart, there is no pickup in store option. When you start a new purchase, the delivery option will be in place. Whoever made this app doesn't know about the real world.

App displayed the current flyer, then when I went to read a detail that looked interesting, I was told that special wasn't available for "the selected flyer." But that's the flyer displayed, so Metro advertises specials that don't exist or what? Disappointing that the app doesn't include online sopping since I haven't been able to log onto the website in months: I'm kept out by ReCapcha, which refuses to render, no matter which browser I use. I guess there's no future for metro and moi.

The search function in the list section of this app is probably the worst ever produced! Can't find most basic items... And not it's not a question of re-installing it. It's the search engine behind or the data that is (not) in it... Look like it has been programmed by "Sunday developers"!

When I click on "add all coupons " there's an error message "failed to add coupon" that appears. I already tried reinstalling the app and it didn't fix the issue. Edit: I already sent you a detailed email with the issue and you still haven't fixed this.

2020-11-21: Coupon feature does not work on mobile app anymore. I have to delete and reload app to see/use the coupon feature. Next time I go on the mobile app, the coupon feature doesn't work and is stuck "thinking" about loading the coupons. The only way for me to access them is via the website. Kindly fix please.

I deleted my review in error - but it doesn't matter anyways, I shop at Sobeys now. I had contacted metro several times, uninstalled & re-installed your app twice - it worked for years now suddenly - nothing works. You responded to me in French here (?) & although I understood your directions - I am not contacting you by e-mail as requested as my previous 4 attempts were a fail. My last contact the guy just said sorry, we are having problems. D'oh! Smacks head...

This app hasn't worked properly since it was redone to look pretty. Can't sign in, list view of flyers has disappeared, can't sync lists between website and app, barcode scanner is gone, etc. I'll take ugly and functional over pretty and useless any day. Please make it work again

this app has recently started asking for permision to send notification and evan though you click on NO it still sends you to the notification settings on your phone. each and every time you load coupons .I find this very annoying and yes i have turned of notifications for this app on the phone iit worked fine untill the last update and yes i uninstalled and reinstalled several times. just admit your app is buggy and fix it instead of giving me asinine suggestions to uninstall and reinstall

No way to ask a question on this app or website. This seems the only way. One of the offers on the app was to use air miles at checkout to earn extra miles bit there is no way to redeem the miles from the online order. Please help!

The synchronization was the only good thing on this app even if had a few bugs. Now it's totally useless. Or add a share button to share with a metro app or transfer whatever. I don't do the list, just the shopping.

I save on average 50$ every 3 months due to this app. I highly recommend it. However, the flyer option does not function. I did uninstall & reinstall it before & after you suggested it. To no avail. The contact us & about options are also not working
