My Movies for Android allows you to catalog your entire movie collection library from our high quality online data service containing data for more than 800,000 DVD, Blu-ray and HD DVD titles from various countries. If you have one or more titles that is not in our service, you can report it and it will be created within 48 hours by our staff

The application is optimized for both phones and tablets, including a full tablet interface.
You can evaluate the full application, by downloading My Movies for Android Free, which is a freely available identical version with the exception of being limited to 50 titles, and only 10 items in release and trailer lists.
You can use My Movies for Android as a standalone product, or use it as a companion to our My Movies software packages for Mac OS X or Windows, allowing you to keep your movie collection synchronized between clients.
My Movies for Android requires you to create a user account, or log on to an existing My Movies account to be able to use the program. Your collection will follow your user account through our online servers, allowing you to switch between different clients without ever losing your data

You can within the program activate an online collection website of your movie collection, allowing you to send friends and family a website that allows them to browse your entire collection.
With My Movies for Android, you can keep track of movies you own, previously have owned, rented or movies you wish to purchase. Never again will you have to purchase or rent a movie twice.

i have used this app for a few years now. just had some issues accessing my account. contacted help and support via email, response and sorted out in less than a minute. very happy. Have had cause to contact the help desk twice this weekend, the response was faultless. Still 5/5.

got a new phone and cant recover my account because you can no longer log in with facebook. i have to PAY AGAIN for an upgraded version and rescan all of my movies... not happy.
Having installed and bought the older version to find it's no longer available now and now they release version 2 which I have to pay for again is wrong anyone who bought the older version should have the new version free
Paying for an app, then losing all functionality is a good way to never get money from me again.
My favorite app ~ EVER I've had this app since the beginning. Yes of course there was glitch here and there but they figured things out!!

This app works great
It handles it all, actors, directors, time, year, etc. Worth the money. Easy to use. Try it and buy it. I have over 2400 movies and this app handles them and makes collecting fun again. You can look up anything anywhere. Never have to stand in the return line for buying a movie twice. Only found very minor problems which were fixed in hours.
I have had this app for months and really enjoyed using it. Whenever I went to the store and couldn't remember if I had a movie or not I would just look at my library. I have over 250 movies in my library. It took quite a bit of time to add them all in. So imagine my surprise when I go to add my newest movie and find everything gone from my library. Sadly, I find that in order to add more i need to pay for an update. I have never had an app request more money for an update.
What a ripoff. Tried to put on a new cell and nothing. I could care less about how it had free updates for five years. I refuse to pay for another version. When I purchased movies pro, there was nothing said about updates for only five years. When I paid for it, I anticipated it would work on any new device. All I can say now is you are the worst company ever. No upgrade and old version will NOT WORK on new device. Not wasting my time or money for a new version. This company should be ashamed of how crappy they treat long time customers.
Update: Developers response says it all. Contrary to his remarks he could give recent purchases a deserved break. Purchased this app with the idea it would be supported for a reasonably amount of time. Updates are no longer available after less than 60 days and the developers response is pretty much "tough s**t" NOT HAPPY AT ALL!
Bought this some time ago and come back to find that now there's a My Movies Pro 2.....and to get it, I have to pay again. I read the other comments but Binnerup choses to close their ears to the storm of criticism from those who bought the first version. There is no better way to mess-up your business than to respond with moral platitudes and ignore your customers pleas. You used to be great - and now you come across as arrogant and greedy. You've lost my business. Good luck because you'll need it.
I had started my own database on Excel before finding this - mine was taking ages! This is so quick and simple. Brilliant. I would like it if the DVD count was how many DVD's were in your collection though and not those that have been scanned i.e I have a Home Alone 1 & 2 movie pack but that counts as 1 in your collection and not 2 - just a 'little' annoying for a true count. Still that's not enough to take away from 5 stars. Amazing. I have no need to upgrade to 2 as this does everything that I could want!
Ok i paid the 7.99 again but i already had account here just couldn't remember the user name or password or telephone so i made another google account now i dont knw hw to get all my movies on my phone can someone help me here. I still dont understand why i had to pay 7.99 when i already had account nd gve u all that information but couldnt recover it is that all i get to put in my phone is 50 bec thats all that i was able to download in my phone. PLEASE HELP ME SOME ONE. TY. GOD BLESS. Patti. M
A descent little app but now being told to upgrade it my movies 2 yet I don't see any major differences. Having read the reasoning behind it which is basically "can't charge for upgrades on play store, want more money going to make the same program put a 2 on the end and support that instead" I appreciate that the company needs to make money but that is why it is a purchased app and not a free app surely. The program just uses databases such as IDMB. They do the hard work this just links it.
But no longer being updated with new features. Will still receive support, but if you want the new stuff, you'll have to buy it -- again. Wish I would've known they were gonna stop, but they got my money, and I'm just out of the refund period so they don't care. I won't purchase the "new version" after this.
Poor business practices cannot be commended. Just because an app has been supported for 5 years doesn't mean you get to charge your customer base twice for what's essentially an update. Instead of having old users continuing to build your customer base for you, you alienate them by passing on the cost in a manner that is clearly upsetting. There are no guarantees that another update down the road won't be construed as the next major release, and then prompting another payment. I have recommended this app to several friends and relatives, but will now actively warn people instead.
My phone is on Android version 7.1.1 and the app is working fine Why do I have a gut feeling this app will quit working next year because of a bad/fixed update next year forcing existing users to pay full price for the new and improved My Movies Pro 2. Not very good support/advertising for your product. Thanks for the response which indicates you take your product seriously. I'm just trying to figure out why you would charge existing users for the new version of your product and simply abandon the older version. If and when the version I have quits working I'll probably just make a list which contains all the movies I own which is why I got this to begin with. Kind of overkill on my part but, your app kept me from buying copies of movies I ready own. Thanks.
I dislike that the company now has mymoviespro 2 and even though you purchased the original it doesn't upgrade you automatically or even give you a discount on the second version. I don't really think that's good customer service
not able to contact them. i have the paid version but this version does not allow me to use the barcode scanning feature. It only allows me to manually enter in the titles. what use is this paid app if it removes features. Tried contacting them but nothing works on their website. not able to even ask in the forum.
I have a huge movie collection and I have been keeping an inventory for years. I have been using movie label for years which is great but a bit pricey and entering the data can be time consuming and most of the time the covers generated were wrong. With my movies pro I just scan the bar code and done! I upgraded to pro after 10 minutes of use. Very happy with this app.
I bought this a few years ago and haven't had any issues going to a different phone until now! I had my phone stolen and now can't get my 200+ movies that I spent hours scanning, wants me to pay more money! Bad business and possibly not legal.
A lot of fluff, but not bad. I have beef with their app version stuff. I started with pro, then upgraded in November to I guess my movies 2 pro. Now there's 3. But it is confusing to find which one I have as it is not on the icon. They really need to clear that stuff up. I emailed them and they said download 2 from installed apps. But it doesn't have the number. Just says my movies pro.
