If the student watching the videos has any doubt with regards to the subject, they can easily ask questions to hundreds of subject matter experts available on the platform. Viewing the videos does not require registration, if you want to ask questions or follow questions asked by other students, a 10 second user registration is required. My Open Courses is launched under the same premise as in case of Khan Academy, MIT Courseware, Coursera, Udemy, eDx
- that of offering quality education online. But My Open Courses differs in the way where videos and course material offered completely adheres to standard curriculum of Engineering, Management and other streams. On the other hand Khan Academy, MIT Open Courseware, and others have more of vocational subjects which may not be part of actual student curriculum.

UX is kinda confusing. For instance, top bar looks like a tab host but is totally passive. And pull-to-refresh recreates whole screen rather than just updating the data.
Well, I wonder whats wrong with this app. On 3G network and after making me wait until I get grey hair, finally tells me a network error. I can see the menu on the left but when clicked, just a blank screen with please wait... and nothing useful after that.
I'm getting network error every time I try open a page. Needs bug fixes and updating
Most of the videos are 240p resolution and one can hardly make out the videos /slides. Don't compare yourself with MIT /khan academy
When I try to choose a category it pops up message: check your internet conection. Even when I have a working conection.
Ui could be better for sure. But it works 'ok' enough to achieve the target goals of free high class education for all
Like the idea but the UI indeed needs work and the low quality of courses (video and instruction) makes this a no go for me
Constant network error. nothing will load with app, including the option to sign-in
A great app that brings all NPTEL lectures from IITs and IISc together. Except that the UI could have been better. Hope to see a better one in the update.
Most of the courses don't even have material. I was fooled by their nice logo.
The quality of the app is atrocious. I wanted to take some communication's classes and it wouldnt let me even search for it. When I finally scrolled all the way down it brought me to the beginning.
1. I think it should have offline view. 2. Marker if it has been viewed before
Does not works at all. Always get "Network error" on every course I try to watch.
Unfortunately I couldn't use this app because I get a network error in every page. I will update this Review if this gets fixed and I can actually use the App. Edit: it's working now.
Definitely connected to the internet on my note 3. But i cant load it. It keeps saying network error on both 4g and Wifi. :(
Lousy. . Poor quality and most topics don't have anything underneath it apart from a "to read" list. .. This app from design to execution is not worthy of having the tag 'IIT' on it. .. piece of crap except for the logo... lucifer advertising for hell
I've just downloaded this app. I wanted to check out the course offerings. There aren't any titles! The link is the name of the prof teaching the course. It is not feasible to click on each course to find out what it is. This a VERY strange way to "organize" things.
Numerous lectures on all the topics, and most are videos from IITs and IISc- all for free. Wow.
Not able to use this app, as it is showing network error! Even the homepage shows error

This is a very ambitious undertaking, and it will only get better... Free education for all!

I loved your app and itsgrt but the thing that is missing and is in grt demand by users is AVAILABILITY OF DOWNLOAD OPTION so that we can download videos and learn from them when we are free or don't have internet connection. SO PLZ PROVIDE DOWNLOAD OPTION . Thanks
