I rarely will give one star. This app is clunky when it chooses to even work. Even after a full phone seset, it still keeps crashing and now I cannot even get it to open. When it does open, I have to renind the app what service I want to manage even though I only have one. This issue I have had for over a year and when you call up Optus tech support, they ask for you to use parts of the phone. Good luck if it wont even open.

I have a Galaxy A8 - 2018 model. This app used to work fine - albeit a little slow. I recently put in a complaint about my coverage on the website and requested to be contacted by the Messenger on the app. It seems whatever recent updates have happened the app just keeps crashing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled; tried WI-FI and data, nothing works. As soon as I enter my pin it just crashes. Now I can't even access the messenger on my phone to follow up on the enquiry despite a text message being sent to me to follow up there.

I've been a long time Optus customer and never experienced the problems of the past weeks to month. It's been a very long time and nothing has been resolved with the app shutting down at sign in on Android 9. Like others before me, I have uninstalled the app numerous times to no avail. This is beyond frustrating, definitely considering a change of service provider. Please do not use the blanket response it will be sorted in the coming days. It's been a another 5 days & this issue continues!

This is literally the worst app. The only way to manage your prepaid account is via the app. But the app doesnt work. Everytime I try to open the app it crashes. On the extremely rare circumstances when the app actually loads it keeps throwing errors at me saying that my subscription details cant be saved try again later. Only later I cant open the app because it keeps crashing. What a waste of my life!!

Why wont the app work!! And how are there so many complaints with the same issue and it is not resolved. I want to setup subscription for my prepaid but it keeps saying details weren't saved, try again later. And then I cannot open the app to try again later. I contacted support. And they advise the only way I can sign up for subscription is via the app which won't work. Unacceptable!!! Horrible telco!!

Was forced by System, to update this overly complex app...Phone went into a 'logic' loop, and had to be shut down and re-started. Admit, after update, App is a little more stable than previous version. Would still prefer to have just a simple screen to see data usage, without advertising.

This app has been a terrible experience for me. It is very slow and not overly functional. Optus pushes people into using the in app messaging function, but I could not receive any support through it. By the time a response came, the connection had timed out and I could no longer reconnect to the conversation. I also could not access the "my cases" part of it, which isn't available on the website and has blocked me from getting any actual support when I needed it. App is now broken post update

Used to be good, Now it's terrible. Every time that I go to log in the app crashes. Whether I'm using my data, WiFi, partner's WiFi and hotspot, everything. It's becoming impossible to recharge my data. Been thinking about switching services, if this persists I might as well. Disappointed.

I've uninstalled, downloaded and tried to get into the app, but it keeps telling me that I'm using an outdated version. When I hit update, it just takes me back to the app's opening page. I will have to drive the 46 kilometres to the nearest Optus shop to have them sort it out. Just letting you know.

Awful app that constantly crashes. I'm currently internationally roaming and the roaming page only opens once then goes blank if you try again so I have to uninstall the app every morning and download again just to add roaming (it's not automatically added like Vodafone does). Sort it out Optus!!! EDIT: The international roaming page still does not open even after new version. Optus, I refuse to pay roaming to re-install this app every day, this is awful.

I am an Optus customer. I have been unable to access the soccer on the Optus Sport app, for about a week, now. This occurred when the app (frustratingly) stopped & buffered. I was advised to uninstall then reinstall the app, which I did. BUT IT NOW REFUSES TO ACCEPT MY EMAIL OR PASSWORD. As I said, I have been unable to access my app for a WEEK. The chick on the phone from the Optus shop (Ocean Keys) could do nothing, so it looks like I'll have to visit the place personally to get this fixed.

9/10 times I can't add on extra data to my plan without the app crashing ... I've cleared the cache, uninstalled , reinstalled, installed on different devices, absolutely nothing makes a difference... It's my 13yr old daughter's phone plan & it's caused her alot of grief with being able to get online with seqta & complete work when not at home.....

Edit 9 May v7.12.2 I can log on, that's an improvement. But now seems clunky with long pauses and some black screens between displays. Previously was smooth and fast. 3 May Used to work well. Now crashes when started every time. Have sent feedback.

The app used to work well, now all I get is a blank green background with 'OPTUS' at the top. Cannot access any options as there is nothing to click on ! Have updated to version 7.12.2 which hasn't made any difference.

The new update caused the app keep crashing. I can't even login! The new version is not helpful and keeps crashing. Before I can take any screen shot,app crashes. It doesn't give any opportunity to act. Tribble updates by Optus!

unreliable and not very intuitive. it's really hard finding how to update payment details. usually there's a section under MY ACCOUNT where it says payment options. this app doesn't have that. also had problems with app even working sometimes.

I have recently had an "Optus" update, just to be told my SHARED data has been used. I have NEVER given anyone access to 1/2 my monthly data. Now I can pay an extra $10 for 1GB. I have been with Optus for 5 years, & have never had this before. Time to change, I think.

Using the app, I tried to log in to view service information, first password Set up numerous years ago, was invalid. Set up new password, also invalid. Got frustrated with all the double security actions which lead to nowhere.

Terrible customer service! I have been trying to get help via messaging through my optus app. No one has been able to resolve the issue. I haven't been able to recharge since 3 days now, extremely frustrated and disappointed. Won't be recommending optus service.

Hi Optus just letting you know the update hasn't fixed the crashing problem when the app is launched. I have just updated and still doing the same thing. When i put in the 4 digit pin it crashes right away. Samsung Galaxy S8

App won't even open and keeps crashing everytime I try and log in. I have used this app previously for years without a problem but this newest update doesn't even work. Have installed it several times and updated but the same thing happens.

Kept stopping. Edit - Did what you said and contacted Optus but after a week of no response I ditched Optus and am using Vodafone. Much better! The Vodafone app uses much less data and doesn't overwhelm Chrome with links, ads, animation and junk like the Optus app. Sorry Tommy but your clunky old app has been uninstalled 😐

Have had this app for over a few years and now I have just started prebilling which I got charged for yesterday instead of today when supposed to be. Now I can't even access the app due to supposed update as it won't give option to update 😞 Just has uninstall or open 😀 Can't even see my data balance either. Why fix something that wasn't broken in the first place?

Last update has stopped access to my account, not good enough! Update.....next version 7.12 just as bad. It still crashes. 03/05/22 Just updated the app...... finally it works! Thankyou for listening & then fixing the issues πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ» The new layout seems easier to navigate.

Had this app for years, was working really well up until recently, all of a sudden I can't log in, keeps telling me my account has been temporarily locked after attempting to log in 3 times when I've only just logged in once. I've uninstalled then reinstalled it and it same thing happens. This app is just utter useless, such a shame
