Love this app! Especially when traveling. I can find any Phillips 66 gas station, authorize the pump and complete the transaction without going into the store! It is really great when the card reader isn't working correctly or you suspect a fraudulent card reader. The .25 cents off is for those that use the Phillips 66 credit card with the app. I've never had a problem.
I would give up on using the app entirely if it weren't for the 25 cents a gallon savings. It takes multiple attempts of entering my pin, closing, and restarting the app to finally register on the pump. Meanwhile, multiple cars around me have filled up and left the gas station, while I am still sitting there JUST TRYING TO GET THE APP TO WORK.
This is almost a scam. The gas stations tell you to get the app to get the price on the sign. I do that and then go to pay at the pump with the app and I get a discount but not the full discount as advertised. You must apply for their credit card and use it to get the advertised price. Very misleading.
02/01/22: After latest app update on Android I have not been able to use the app with Phillips 66 credit card. I receive an authorization error. I can use the card without the app. Error occurs at all Phillips 66 stations. Removing/reinstalling app doesn't help. Family members with iPhone have not had any issues.
Great app. I have the phillips 66 card and linked my kickback rewards card to it and get 25 cents off per gallon of gas. This promotion has been going on since October and still going. I fill mine and my wife's car about once a week so it save about $10 a week for me. So it has saved me about $160 so far..well worth your time to download
This app worked one time, the very first time after I downloaded it, and it has not worked since. I've tried four or five times and there's ALWAYS an error code. Guess I'll just miss out on the rest of the promotion you used to lure me in with to download and use your app.
Total waste of time. Store owners know nothing about the app or how to use it. Click on pay and it closes. Good luck trying to link a card to your account! Again, Don't Waste Your Time Downloading This App!
I like the convinince but the are quite a few places the app will not work. Not sure if that is a store issue or an app issue, but definitely frustrating.
Can't even sign up for an account. Keeps giving me an error message to press continue. Then the message "something went wrong" pops up. Anyone else experienced this and how to resolve?
Best app knocks 25 cents right off at the pump. No inserting card. I don't understand the negative reviews. I use it every week sometimes every other day. Works every time from Arizona union 76 stations to the Phillips and Conoco across to Florida. Always works!
Confusing format ,usually something goes wrong when trying to use it,says error,gives no explanation, even called company,sent new card ,same ,finally my tech savy son ,(25) was able to see something about wallet ,app assumes you instinctively know what to do
Spotty at best. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. A multibillion dollar corporation should be able to develop an app that works every time you use it. It's 2022. We can do better than this, Phillips 66.
It keeps giving my reward points to other people. Every time I fuel! This glitch needs to get fixed immediately. Especially when prices are as high as they are!
When the app located the Phillips 66 station that I am at, it is very easy to authorize the pump to fill up my vehicle. This app allows you to use it at any of the other companies gas stations like Conoco.
It would be really helpful if there was a link in the app to purchase a gift or e-gift card. Rather than trying to search all over to find one that is compatible with your payment methods.
Everything Synchrony touches turns to $#!+ ... this app can't link to Capital One so customers can get $0.25 off their gas ... how STUPID ... and don't even get me started on Synchrony's asinine self-authentication procedures that prevent you from participating in their promotional payment offers.
It took awhile to download the app and get it set up but once that was up and going, "$0.25 off per gallon." This app is great. Biggest savings ever!*!
Works good most of the time and saves some $$. Only problem is sometimes I have to Uninstall app and reinstall for it to work
As a convenient way to pay for your gas at the pump . . . great! It also allows you to pay at the station in lieu of inserting a credit/debit card. Again, great! But as a means of also earning rewards (Kickbacks in my case), it's worthless! My Phillips card and Kickbacks rewards card are both loaded into the app wallet, and they are linked (I can see my KB points in the Phillips app. When using the app at the pump, however, it won't accept my valid rewards number (says it's incorrect). Customer Assistance as an intermediary to Tech Support isn't getting the problem fixed! As a retired IT person, I AM NOT IMPRESSED!
Really negative experiance trying to sign up. As soon as I put in the information an email with a vetification code is sent. I go to my email to get the number but then the app kicks me out of the process and I have to start over again... Which gives me another verification code that I can only get by going to my email. Which wouldn't be a problem if the app would allow me to duel screen since the programmers didn't think it through and messes up with the sign up. But they put no duel screen :-(
Simple and convenient. Not to mention the discount on gas prices right at the pump! Awesome!
It would be nice if you could pick the default payment source I have to set up and it's always the wrong one. The pump selection screen has gotten a little difficult to maneuver, my two different devices it's difficult to see that I'm where I need to type in the pump number. occasionally the GPS still doesn't think I'm at the gas station but that has happened much less frequently really appreciate the app.
It was better and easier to use before the upgrade... I can be standing in front of the pump, and the app will tell me I'm anywhere between 66'-244' away, and won't let me pump until I've restarted the app several times. Eventually, it thinks I'm 64 feet or less from the phone, and counts that is okay. Why doesn't it recognize that I'm right in front of the pump?
Great app! Gives fantastic discounts every time at the pump. Very useful in this times when gas prices are unforgivable.
app works fine I get $0.10 off every purchase with debit card and I tried the $0.25 with the bank account link it works just takes to long for it to come out my account would recommend the app.
This app is horrible! It almost never works. Last night after leaving the ER, I tried to get gas so I could make it home. The app experienced tech issues which caused my bank to think someone was trying to steal my money, so they locked my card. I was stranded at a gas station trying to get it fixed. Thanks but no thanks, I'm deleting!
