I love this app. I give it 4 stars. My biggest pro and con: Biggest Pro - you can see your entire history of time spent on your phone in really well presented graphs (for free!) This includes for an entire year! You can choose want you want to see, such as daily averages or total time all added together. Other options for this as well. Biggest con - deep navigation is confusing. There should be a guide, I have no idea how to put apps under custom categories.
Seems to be just a watered down version of smartertime. The 4 hour limit makes the app unusable if you use your phone for business as well as personal, and dont want to whitelist things that they aren't. There could be a lot of awesome workarounds and more versalitity to encourage users to make the switch, since it is an interesting and practical ideal. It's just not there yet, and I'm not sure I'd hold my breath at this point. Edit: Originally misnamed smartertime as save my time. Got a response from the dev saying a personal+professional limit doesn't make sense, which I didn't mention during my review. I review was focused on how 4 hours is too low for many users, /especially/ if their phones are also used for work. Yes, I could disable the notification, but why do I even have the app installed then? The whole draw was being able to set a goal for myself and work within it, not have to find weird ways to work around it just because the devs set a completely arbitrary 4 hour limit. This could've been really neat but right now you're so limited in even the basics that I can't recommend it at all.
Very useful little app. Does exactly what it says on the tin and will hopefully help to keep my phone usage at a reasonable level. Only just started using it but one thing I've noticed is that when Iselect a day from the graph the information displayed still only shows the current day rather then the one selected. I'll add more feedback once I've used it more.
This is everything I need from a phone time app. The notifications are on point and exactly the right amount of visible without being intrusive. Only recommendation I would suggest is that the lock screen warning can be set to appear at X percent of the limit as fair warning, or even all the time as an option. Keep it up, this app is great.
Love the app. It works well, is intuitive, and doesn't have intrusive ads. The only feature missing is the ability to see monthly or yearly bar charts. Currently I can only see my usage in graph form for the current week. I would love to be able to see my monthly usage in visual form.
App does what it says, and I was going to make a suggestion, so used the Contact link in the app. I chose my email application. Saved as draft to complete it later. I find a .zip file attached to the email containing a screenshot when I clicked contact, a detailed list of all the applications on my phone along with detail of every action I'd taken on my phone since installing the app a week or so ago. There was no notification it was being sent or option to not send. Hmm, big brother watching?
Wonderful and Smooth experience. Only one problem, it's what I encountered. When I switch off of my mobile completely, the time was still being counted in the name "system UI" ( mine's a samsung device). That's the only problem/strange thing that I have come across. Nevertheless a smooth experience.
Pretty inaccurate. On a single 12 hour day, it'll say ive been on for 8 hours, when I know for sure that the real number is closer to 2 or 3 hours. Even "Digital Wellbeing" by Google sets a closer number to accuracy. This app is very inaccurate and doesn't do much. The features are limited, it seems all you can do is specify a range for viewing data and that's abiut it. The warnings/blacklist feature for apps dont work either.
Absolutely love this app after two days of testing. One issue though is that I am using my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and a White List app to catalog my home inventory. I only need an admonishment for time spent on time-wasting apps not for total time spent on my phone. If you could add a way to switch admonishment from phone usage time to Watch List app time, that would be great 😊 . Reply to reply: I mean the push notification. I want the total to to only include my Watch List apps😊.
It works super well and dose exactly what it should, it will tell you exactly how much time you spent on your phone and what apps you spent it on, also, when you download it, it shows your results for the last seven days, another helpful thing is that you can sey yourself a screen limit. Mine is set for 2 hours so that way once i've spent 2 hours on my phone, everytime I open it after that a notification will pop up telling me I'm over my limit.
The time calculation is accurate for some apps but not accurate for some. When you receive a message and do not read it, it counts time as if your phone is on. The operating system like hi launcher functioning time is also counted. However, it has an option to exclude some app time by adding them on whitelist!
App categorization doesn't seem to work (Pixel 6, Android 12). Interface is also fairly clunky; it should be far simpler to see your usage and categorize apps but currently the choice is either a very limited home screen or a very busy details screen.
I actually liked the app until I realised that a lot of the stats don't even add up and are wrong! It's shown me sometimes that I used some apps for 3 hours+ then the total phone time use is 45 mins. Also repeatedly setting it to show in the lock screen making people switch it back off each time is a very easy way to lose users.
It works fine but the custom lock screen harassing you for how much time you're using is annoying. Even if i turn it off, it pops back up occasionally and i have top turn it off again. I want something that just runs in the background as more of an fyi.
Yes I know but it's not Free from Ads, it's very annoying and every app that is Free is also Free from Ads. Please remove the ADs please, I'll pay $0.99 for it to be removed since that's all I can give because I'd have to wait until December 25th of every year. Please fix this problem and respond to this message on your app review please! Thank you 😊.
It would be more nice if it also shows the previous days phone counts and one feature that i think should be improved is that it should show the time used when touched on any bar graph. But , iam impressed by your product quality and the services you give and the way you take every review seriously. For Smarter Time Team❤
Good enough. I best like the feature that show your phone usage time as a bar graph. That easily lets me know where I'm going. It also shows time spent on different apps. Appearance is okay, but can be better. Good experience overall.
This app is truly perfect. It covers all my needs by showing me how much time I spend during the week and on which apps whenever I use my tablet. It allows me to see which areas I need to dial back on using so thank you so much, developers, and all parties involved!
This app is absolutely great. it helps me see how much time I spend on the phone. it should have earned 5 stars but for the annoying pop ups of notifications. Also, it counts the hours and times the default phone apps runs. Hence, before I even wake up I have used up my target time.
Seems good. It has been a bit wrong once but seems to be a fairly accurate representation of my phone usage. I like that you can whitelist certain apps and it didn't bug me with loads of notifications.
it seems like the app is not entierly accurate. It said on one day for instance that I had used my phone for 20 hours, while I hadn't even been awake that long. update: I downloaded three other apps to compare, who all show that I've been spending way less time on my phone than this app claims. It could use some fixing...
The app does seem helpful but I cant say I am a fan of this one. The front facing overlay interfered with other apps when I would have google maps or other quick check situations to where I just didnt want this on my phone. App itself works great just needs some fine tuning. If that gets fixed this will be a 5 star review.
Very accurate with lots of detail and no ads which I have noticed. ******* One tiny bug is when I go onto the weekly usage page and switch it from custom to day, it doesnt switch to day unless I switch it to week first and then go to day.
Very good app , I used this for years, good time management you know what you do today with your mobile and how many times and how much time. Best app for your notice to the time management and focus. But nowadays my upgraded mobile the time management digital wellbeing features in built in handset, so I no need to use this. But as a farewell I give it a five star and support it as goodwill gesture and I'm grateful for my previous use and help of this app.
I love how detailed it is in breaking down exactly what I am spending my time on. Also how it sets reminders about reaching your specified time limit on your lock screen so you can reconsider if you really need to go in or not. It does have some functionality issues. For example, I have set it so that it should not pop up when I open the phone regardless of how long I have spent on the phone, and yet, it "forgets" and pops back up very quickly after. Then, the time limit only goes up to 4 hrs.
