As a fair skinned person of northern European descent I care more than usual about how much sun I get. I was interested in this device/app when it came out in Wired and for a while it worked well enough. I could wear the sensor on my hat and scan to get an occasional reading of the day's sun exposure, nice when for example I went to Spain and was outside for 8 hours a day... The problem is that lately the app is only marginally useful and mostly doesn't work at all! Need to fix the NFC scan...
The app stopped working with my NFC tag, again, so I called in to the support line after doing some basic troubleshooting. They insist I need to uninstall & reinstall the app, even though I told them I'd already gone through all this, so I did it again to humor them. And now the app won't sign me in at all. Brilliant.
App now works with my sensor and I love it!
No matter what I do, I cannot get my Pixel 2 XL to sync with the sensor. I contacted support, tapped in all different places, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but nothing works. I know the NFC on my phone is not broken because I use it for Google Pay all the time. I'm disappointed in the product and was excited to see my sun exposure.
