My SOS Family - Emergency SOS

I posted a review earlier giving the app one star since most everything they offer for a fee is already available on my phone for free. They have been very responsive and we have had a good dialogue about other features I feel it needs. Primary among them is the fact that for the SOS app to work, you have to be conscious and able to access and open the phone and interact with their app. My concern is that none of that works if I am laying unconscious on the floor. They explained the technical problems surrounding that type of function and that these issues may be addressed in the future. I am upping my rating to 3 stars since they have been so responsive. And I look forward to seeing in the future if they are able to provide a function that alerts if you are incapacitated.

Fantastic app so many ways you can send a sos if ever needed ideal for people like myself who's hobby is fishing which can be quite often a solitary event to have peace of mind that you can get in contact right away with family and friends customer service is second to none always very helpful if needed.

I love the timer feature that is easy to use and alerts your contacts fast if you need help! And the other methods are great too, such as just swiping down!

Impressive, based on the tests I have done. However, it is supposed to be "enhanced" for Wear OS and I can't find any evidence of it - certainly no documentation. As I understand it, the app should either transfer while you are setting the watch up, or there should be a companion app in the Wear OS Play Store. Neither seems to be true. Also, it is really not helpful to have a review request pop up while you're trying to press the SOS button.

Very easy to set up and use. Powerful features which can help to save lives. Good SOS timer alert feature which will notify contacts in case something happened to me if i don't confirm my safety in time. By working even if phone is off or no signal, probably the contacts will be notified unless the cloud fails too. The automatic call has preset message so all I need to do is set the timer and message.

Really great app and very easy to use. Allows you to make contact with multiple chosen people in case of emergency, and even allows you to setup a timer, just in case there's a chance you may need an emergency (e.g. if you are on your own and answering the door). Great concept and especially handy for keeping an eye on loved ones and knowing they are safe.

Update: The developers fixed the bug and its working well! I am impressed with how promt they were and how efficient they were at fixing the timer! This app has been a big help in keeping me connected with friends and family when in sketchy situations. I highly recommend this app to anyone in need of a safety net. So I really love the app but since the update the timer crashes and thats what i use the app for.

I'm very impressed with ease and efficiency of this app. There are so many situations where the various functions can offer peace of mind to user and their contacts. I especially like the timer function. Great FAQs and instructions. I highly recommend reading all info on the sos family website. Text, email, and phone alerts mean very thorough outbound alerting. I like that it works with Alexa too making it easy when not near my phone for me to request help.

Brilliant fantastic app am only 42 but have my problems like a lot of people. Thank you will be paying to upgrade in 7 to 8 days before if I get any money sooner.

My brothers and I used the free trial for my mother who is bed bound. It has worked great as all she has to do is push one button and the app calls and texts us immediately that mom needs something. We have now purchased the yearly subscription and look forward to having this tool available for our family. Support service has been great so far with quick reply to my one question about my account status. Thank you for a great App!

I'm old school. I want a manual or user guide that tells me everything about this app, including best use practices. I'll revise this review if I get or see one. I also tested this app in an area where cell phone and thus, Internet connectivity, is poor. The check in facility would not send a message to the message receiver even with numerous attempts. If it doesn't work on a check-in, it won't work in an emergency. Need to be able to test and verify.

Brilliant to have on your phone when you are out on your own

Could save your life! Great lifeline to have in the event of an emergency. The option to use just your voice to signal the app to call for help is an awesome feature. I have a heart condition so it gives me peace of mind that if I have a heart issue I can get help with one touch!

EDIT: Changed to 5* thanks to some truly top notch customer service! I use the check-in feature every morning with my mum & it's made us both feel a lot safer. Really great app & support team. OP: Great app - Would have been 5 stars if a pop-up screen didn't come up every time I try to send a check-in, asking me to rate the app 😑 very irritating

I've been looking into emergency contact options for some vulnerable relatives, and this one looks rather good. Simple and intuitive to use, and easy to set up. It's not cheap, though, hence the 4* instead of 5.

Very useful not only for real emergency situations. The usage is easy to understand and the settings are very flexible. You can even let the app call someone and/or send sms so you can rely on getting help.

Works just how I need it to! Its especially great for people who walk alone. I can set a timer to send out an SOS signal to automatically go off when im walking on the way to my car. I would highly recommend it for anyone with children.

I've been trying out a few of these apps because my dad is getting up there in years. This one by far seems the simplest and most intuitive which is basically what I'm looking for in an emergency hot button to get a hold of us immediately. Really well made

Overall I am very pleased with this app and with the developer's customer service. Testing this app produced an unexpected result. One of my contacts is my cousin Harry and when I added his name to the list of my sos contacts the app automatically pulled his mobile and landline numbers from the contacts list on my smartphone. Unknown to me when I carried out the test (having primed another contact to take ownership of the test sos) Harry was out of the house and his mobile was on charge at home. His wife was on a call on the landline and this was interrupted by an alert in the form of a voice message. She was not expecting this. Initially she thought it was a scam: it had all the hallmarks- recorded American voice, claiming friend needed help and asking recipient to dial 1 to help. I put all this to the developer in an email and got a very full and helpful email back by return. He has taken my points on board and is considering making additions to the app to meet them. The friend on the other end of the test got the sos alert on his landline ok and his wife ,who is also on my contact list ,got a text on her mobile. Two other contacts later reported that they had also received the alert by text message to their mobile phones .So on this basis I have signed up for a year. I hope I never have to use the app, but I feel reassured that it is there and that it does work.

Really great sos app. I keep the handy everytime I go out after midnight which is necessary because of my job. The best part about the app is the shortcut option which makes it very quick to access it. I suggest people who works overnight or ladies should have it

I really wanted to use this app, I drive a lot and live alone at the moment and wanted something to alert my family or friends incase im in danger, I did the whole process registering and signing up, when I came back to the app to add more family member I couldn't continue and kept getting a message to try again some time later. My issue have been resolved thank you for reaching back to me so quickly and I appreciate your time and efforts.

This app is great if you work at the power plant. Some maintenance situations make the app useful. This app also syncs many actions and alerts will go through even if the app is destroyed. Thanks. Keep developing the app!

Great app, set it up with my grandparents. Easy to use and intuitive (my 80 year old grandad can use it!), plus the ability to call all emergency contacts at the same time gives me peace of mind that I won't miss an alert

Simple and effective. The sos app, just needs you number, and you to enter the verify code from an SMS, it then presents a button, which when pressed SMS you chosen contact. May contact verified he got the sms and it was very quick.

Really like the idea! Just to let you know, it seems like if you enter your phone number with the area code (if you miss the warning message :P) it looks like you're logged in but there's an error message. If you fix that I'll happily rate 5 stars! :)

Great app! The fact that it calls all emergency contacts is really useful and the use of cloud storage makes sure that even if the phone dies, my information is still being saved.
