Great idea but it needs live updates for arrivals. I leave at the right time and get to the tram stop when it says to be there but the tram is a few minutes out. Same for buses. Unfortunately a few minutes makes a huge difference when having to change more than once.
As a visitor staying in Bury and trying to organise a trip to Manchester this could be a lot slicker. i.e. 1/ Show which line a tram stop is on. 2/ Why can't I see a tram network map? 3/ In Bury there are 2 stops shown in Haymarket: manpjtg and manpjtj, what's all that about? 4/ and finally if I have a max walk set to 1500m why list a 3 hour walk home as a option!!?
God help anyone not from Manchester who used the plan my journey feature. Absolutely useless. Would have you walking everywhere, or taking 5 more buses than you need. Joke. I was planning a journey and the routes it was throwing up seemed crazy. So I put in my normal journey to work which I do I everyday to see what it threw up. It had me getting of my tram at Trafford Bar and walking to Salford quays rather than simply changing at Cornbrook and stepping off the tram at Salford Quays.
This app is useless. My nearest bus stop is 1 min away but this app tells me to walk 10 mins to another stop on a different route. London transports "MOOVIT" app is fantastic Manchester needs something very similar.
Yet another "official" transport app which is a whole degree of magnitude more abysmal than the 3rd party offerings out there. Can't even add a favourite bus stop.
Useless, TfGM have never shown much concern for public transport, preferring to cater for cars. If proof were needed this abandoned app provides it.
Not good - constantly pushes you to a bus & tram journey , difficult to set up a bus & train journey (Why???)
Great journey planning app as well as Traveline. Would definitely recommend this app to others.
Doesn't Work! It wont search for bus timetables and gives you weird journey plans.
Needs updating as can't access bus timetables in greater manchester. Get this sorted

useless thing on here.
First review I have left for an app but felt compelled to tell the developers how abysmal the user interface is. I found it impossible to work out how to do anything the app was supposed to do.
terrible user experience. what a joke....
Useless! 1) Tapping a stop gives me times from the terminus in the opposite direction. 2) Can't select a stop outside Near Me. 3) Journey Planner gave me three routes, all the long way round and not even going right to where I was going. It couldn't even find the obvious direct route I take regularly.
The new app is much easier to use and have everything I need in one place. I don't have to save the bus timetables to my phone anymore.
Better off using individual travel companies' apps or google maps.......this app does not should gps and when you view all stops, you can't view the full names of the stops which is useless. Little things needed to make it a better app.
Good app but doest detail any 256s from Flixton towards Manchester on the map or journey planner. Not much use if routes are missing
I think this app is obsolete, hence it not working. When checking for advice for travelling post lockdown on the main website, I decided to try the journey planner. That page was no longer there, but there was advice to look at travel apps for journey planning. Mytfgm was not listed, just the bus and train companies and one for Metrolink. Google play is showing a link to join in beta testing. A note somewhere would be useful.
