My Very Hungry Caterpillar

My 2 yr old loves it, we did decide to pay for it, and we don't regret it! My child finds the ladybug toy to be the funniest part of the whole game, she loves watering plants (real life and in game), enjoys feeding the caterpillar, etc. My only maybe complaint is I've seen people turn their caterpillar into butterflies and grow other things but our game does not do that. She doesn't know any different so it doesn't effect us much but I'm sure it would be cool if it did.

Only downloaded the free version for now, but it's so cute and fun for my 3 year old! Easy for him to navigate by himself once I talked him through. I love that there's no ads, and a good variety of activities even for free. It's also cool that the activities reset and change each time the caterpillar goes to sleep. Will probably upgrade to the full version soon!

It's good for my 18 month old, but would be great if you could lock the pages so they dont swipe away to the next one so easily. Also have the 'Do you want to leave the app?' Function on a three second timer so bubs doesnt get stuck on it and lose their minds.

Very impressive! It is recommended for 5 year olds at max, but I am am 11 year old and still enjoy it just as much as a little tot would! All the vibrant colours, the authentic Eric art style, peaceful ambient background music and the vast amount of unique activities there are to play with my caterpillar makes me feel like my young kindergarten pastself! StoryToys, you guys are a LEGEND! I never knew such a masterpiece could be made, but you proved me very wrong! Thank you soo much!!! ❤👍👏😊

This is a great game for kids! Never get bored , even though it is still rinse and repeat. But it can also use more toys there is only painting and the ship and the other toys it's Boring.. Mabey add some fun brain games like I dunno. But still get it its a good game and.. I have'nt bought the extra's but I find it okay the creator's want money :)

ONE BIG CON! Brought this game twice now and yet again after less than a month the full access has been revoked and its asking for another £4.99 payment!! Tried the restore purchase, but that just says error, I'm really unhappy! £10 on a game that my son can't even play, and to top it off, the customer service is shocking and they've done nothing to rectify the situation

I downloaded this on my Amazon tablet for my daughter and required to buy the full game. I found it in the Google app store on my phone and with the play pass I am so enjoyed she can get all the features for free with the play pass. I am downloading it while she is at daycare and going to surprise her when she gets home today. I remember reading the book as a kid as it was one of my favorites. And to pass it along to her makes me so joyed!

A glitch maybe? My 2½yo walked away from this game, and left the phone in the hands of my 7month old, and I don't know what happened but now my phone is playing twinkle twinkle little star and it won't stop, even though all my apps are closed. Not sure if the song is coming from your game or not, but it never happened before I installed it, so I'm assuming it is. I tried to reload the game to fix it, but it was a different song playing over the one that's playing. Idk. 2 stars, so you'll notice

Had the paid for version of this caterpillar game for months with no problem (except it's limited to my phone and can't use full game on tablet too for example). However this week when wee one has went on it's stopped working and paid for version has disappeared so it's went back to basic. 5 stars if it were working

I absolutely love this game for my two year old. It keeps him so entertained and when the caterpillar turns into a butterfly at the end, we were both pretty excited! I remember reading this book when I was a child, so it was neat to see it turned into a game that my son can enjoy. I didn't have any problem at all purchasing the rest of the game, it's worth it in my opinion. Such a good game! I would love to see more children's books turned into apps my kiddo can play.

PERFECT! We paid the $5 to unlock everything in the game! My 4yr old LOVES her caterpillar! The animations are awesome, the art style is just like the book, The controls are simple to understand. The dev team deserves major props for deliverying a game that is both educational and affordable. To anyone complaining about the cost...the dev team can't say it, but bet I will! You people are entitled and rude. Games ain't free. To the devs: If y'all port this to the Switch I'd buy it again! Thanks

I mean. Compared to the Miffy game (which was alright), this one's WEIRD. It's just that... you really need to speed through enrichment and skip through to a day where a new feature will come up. And even THEN, the number of days are very little. And at the end? Start all over again. It's bare in the worst way possible. This is just the vanilla game, too (wth is with these microtransactions?) so I think I don't really recommend this. (EDIT: LOL??? I don't think I wanna send an email...)

Edited: Support answered me and I'm waiting for the reimbursement because the full version is still not working. I would love to buy it again when it is working properly. My son loves it, so I paid 4.99 for the full version. And he loved it even more. But then just stopped working the full version, it's like I never paid for it, I went and checked by card statement and I went through and we played for some time, I'm not sure why stopped working. I try restored purchase and it didn't work

My Boy has loved this game for over a year , but I have one problem , the seasonal ice pond update really bothers my boy. He has autism , and small changes like the pond frozen in winter really frustrate him .. he can't interact with the fish, or use the boat .. he keeps asking me to fix it , and there is no option to do so . Would it be so hard to make the season change optional ? We live in Southern Oregon .. we rarely get ice here , and it's confusing to my sweet boy.

Kind of a snooze. It's not worth $4.99, we had free version and my toddler enjoyed moving the caterpillar around, so I thought paying would unlock more. It's relaxing, cute app but needs more action to keep toddlers interest, waits for something to happen, pop, animation but nothing. He would've been fine with free version, I wasted $4.99.

What a load of utter rubbish. I've bought the app for £4.99 and then it stops working about 10 days later. When I go to restore purchase it just states "an error has occurred" ?!? It's 2021. Why can't this developer get an application to work correctly but yet the others can?! Bit embarrassing that. If my daughter cannot play the full paid for experience, I'd at least want a refund please.

My daughter is 18 months old and LOVES feeding the caterpillar. This helps with her hand/eye coordination when pulling fruit from the tree, playing with the toys and the shape puzzle. The Very Hungry Caterpillar is one of her favorite books too! A small, one time fee unlocks all these things. It is well worth it! This game is educational and part of our daily activities.

My three year old son found the interface really intuitive. He loves feeding the caterpillar and making him go to sleep. My only complaint (and admittedly a rather small one) is that the tiny food and play bars aren't super obvious to small kids. But otherwise I think it's great!

So... I've had to buy it twice as I wasn't able to restore the purchase I did on my phone on my kids tablet. Couldn't restore the previous purchase as they're linked to different accounts. Very poor customer experience. Game is great and that's why we bought it the first time. But to have to buy it twice is very unfortunate.

Very cute, helps my little lad with responsibility and time management skills unbelievably! Had many play throughs and he loves bouncing the ball with the Caterpillar and popping bubbles. As someone who loved the book in the 80s, its a real joy to have this modern interactive version that really engages learning minds. And I have to admit when he is back at his Mum's, I still water the flowers and feed the Caterpillar. Its ike a nostalgic tamogochi!

Was looking for an app my little one could use that wouldn't just be mindless.. very impressed with this one. I am an early years educator and can see that a lot of thought has gone into the activities to provide educational value, successfully! It doesn't quite tell the story, but provides plenty of opportunities for children to affirm their understanding. Great app for sharing with a child, or for older kids to use alone. Great job.

In the paid version of the app, if you put the Ladybug toy on the hanging vine it causes the vine to glitch all over the screen. This is one reason for my poor review, I just paid $6.99 only to find a bug moments later. I would also add more, as this price seems high for a raft and paints that do very little. * I will say that my child loves this game. He likes taking care of his caterpillar and helping it "grow up." Very sweet game, if not for the issues mentioned I'd give a better rating.

My 2 year old and I love this game! I paid for the full game, and it us worth every cent! Beautiful graphics, calming music, and no difficulty. It is very different from any other game. There's no puzzles or forced play. It is simply caring for and playing with a little caterpillar. Thank you for this "game"!

My 2 year old has turned the caterpillar into a butterfly several times now, he understands we need to feed and play with him to progress to the next day. How many times would he need progress to a butterfly before more content is unlocked? Will new version add more experiences? And if so when? Willing change star rating higher if I don't get a copy and paste rep

I bought the full app for my son and he loved it. We had to uninstall it temporarily to make space on our device. I just tried to reinstall it and its asking me to pay $4.99 again. I click the restore purchase button but it keeps telling me that it failed. Its incredibly frustrating to purchase an app and not have the ability to use it.

feed and sleep x3 = BUTTERFLY. My 3 year old wanted me to reinstall today. I hestiated. I thought I had puchased full app but remembered not being very impressed, and if reinstall makes me repurchase ( like other apps have) I get so mad. BUT... IT WAS STILL FULL APP & I did NOT KNOW if you played 3 feed and sleep sessions it actually does the butterfly part. My son must have played enough last time we downloaded to make the butterfly!
