My Locations: Simply add the locations that matter to you. For example, you could identify your home, your child’s school, where your aging parent resides, the university where your older child attends, and your office. When you travel, you can enable the app to monitor your current location in order to receive any emergency alerts issued for the city or area you are visiting.
Types of Alerts I Can Choose to Receive:
Severe Weather AlertsReceive advanced warning of severe weather when you or one of your locations is in the direct path of the storm. AlertSense receives feeds from the National Weather Service, automatically interprets the geographic area affected, and delivers targeted alerts immediately to app users when one of their locations falls within the impact area. You can tailor your alert settings by location, selecting the severity level for which you want to receive notifications. For example, you can choose to receive only the most severe weather warnings or all watches and advisories as well.
Public Safety AlertsReceive emergency alerts from public safety alerting authorities, notifying you of situations that threaten the safety of yourself or those you care about. Public safety alerts include events such as crime, active shooter, imminent danger, hazardous materials, wildfire, floods and the need for immediate evacuation.
Community NotificationsYou can also choose to receive notifications of events in your community that, while not life-threatening emergencies, still impact your daily life and commute, such as road closures and power outages.
Please Note: If a location you enter is not currently covered by a public safety agency who utilizes the AlertSense Service, you will receive severe weather warnings but not public safety alerts or community notifications for that location. If your city or county does not currently utilize the AlertSense service, contact your local public safety organization and let them know that your community would benefit from this service.

Totally missed the tornado WARNING! in my area but inundated me with flash floods warnings which i don't need. Even if this worked properly there should be a way to classify which warnings you receive, but since it isn't accurate that's a moot point. Uninstall again.
This app used to work really well, then I stopped getting alerts. It's only a waste of space now, does me no good if it doesn't tell me anything. I wish they'd get it working again... I like it better than my other weather apps for alerts.
Not optimized for landscape which makes it useless for tablets. Why can't you put that in the description? No wonder you've got such low ratings. You're short sighted and have no idea how to develop for a multi-platformed market.
MyAlerts has always alerted me of bad or severe weather several minutes before the Weather Channel or any other high-end map does! It's always the first to alert me. Works fantastic!
HORRIBLE app! Alerts when the warnings are nowhere near me. I uninstalled the app but I'm still getting texts about warnings in areas nowhere near me! I wish I had checked the reviews before even thinking about installing!!
Uninstalled! There are no options to choose what alert you receive, nor are there any toggle switches. In my stare there are wind warnings mearly every damn day, and they send out these alerts at wee hours of the morning waking me up. I'm done.
Timber fire five miles from me, evacuations being ordered. According to myAlerts, everything was just fine. No problems. It's been uninstalled, piece of junk, don't risk your life on it.
DO NOT RELY ON THIS APP!!! Doesn't show alerts, though there are severe weather warnings right now.
Awful app. Ignores quiet hours AND high priority alerts mode. Just got woken up at 3am for a red flag warning. Gee thanks.
Was working. now it only alerts then crashes. I removed it as I saw no option to try and update it.
App has giving me absolutely no alerts when I'm in an area that is recieving level 2 and 3 evacuation alerts.
Thought this app was OK but evacuations are occurring less than 20 miles from me due to a fast moving forest fire and no emergency alert yet.
I received no alert for a level 3 (Go Now!) evacuation in my selected area due to forest fire. 5 days later still no alerts for the 9,000 acre forest fire 5 miles from my house. I did however just receive a flash flood warning for a county over 300 miles away???
Never gave me any alerts and there should have been a level 3 evacuation ordered alert sent to my phone.
Totally missed a severe Thunderstorm warning . And tornado watch.
Won't open beyond the introductory splash page. Useless.
Doesn't work. I currently have a fire with helicopters dropping water on it down the street from my house and I have no notifications.
Still having issues with app. We have to clear the cache once a week or we don't get notification of an alert. Isn't worth having because your not aware of an alert. Might help to be able to set your own sound.
