I had a terrible, impossible time trying to pay my bill via their automated phone system. I made my 1st bill payment with an agent over the phone and my debit card was compromised the very next day. Very suspicious. I downloaded the app hoping to avoid any further contact with the agents to make payment. I cannot even sign into the app. When I tap the user name or password fields, there is no cursor and it does not bring up my keyboard to enter anything.
the app is sooo buggy. it's difficult to sign in, cant even press the username line to type. I have to press the password line to even bring up the keyboard. Then once my credentials are in place and I press the 'sign in' button it loads foreverrrr. Glitching between screens. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times and still have the same issues. this happens regularly.
App is unreliable. Information loads, but it takes about 30 or more seconds to do so, and that's assuming your app didn't crash entirely before loading it. You are forced to use this broken app to check energy usage, as no such monitors even exist on their website for some reason.. CoServ is a competitor and has an excellent monitoring system that is very fluid, accessible through mobile & desktop. Developers should learn something from them.
It used to be very efficient. It was fast and easy to pay my bill. Now, it either wont let me sign in and gives me error message or, when I am able to log in, it says Up To Date on payment and I know I'm not. So when I try to go and pay my bill, it says no service selected. Beru frustrating. Make it easy again!!!
App has "logged me" in several times, only to tell me that they're having difficulties and logs me "out" (I can still navigate within the app, but doesn't show my information). Waste of time and energy for an app that's supposed to make life easier. Junk.
Had the app installed for less than ten minutes and it had already crashed three times. Got as far as logging into my account but no further because it crashed half the time I tried to do anything. Usage metrics don't seem to actually work, and I suspect the application hasn't actually been updated in over a year.
Still useless!!! I thought it was fixed and good to go but NO!!! Kept telling my username and password were incorrect and that I am locked out from putting in incorrect Username and password!!! PLUS they seem to be charging a fee to pay !!! 🙄
I can't sign in! This is the second time in over a year and still not working right, so clearly nothing changed. I've uninstalled, restarted my phone and all to be sure. Nope, it's the app not working right. Hope it gets fixed ASAP as it will be convenient real soon.
Worse app ever. Always takes at least 4 minutes to open when you click on log in. Doesn't ever show your usage status. When and IF you can get it to log in its not helpful. I will be changing providers to have a reliable way to view my bill and usage.
The App is trash. Completely pointless to exist if you can populate correct information or any information for that matter. I worked fine when I first downloaded back in 2019. But since 2020 it's been completely useless.
This app is a failure! It takes too long to load and won't accept the payment!! The website is just as worse!!! I have spent 3 hours on the website trying to make a payment and after entering all the information, I get an error message!! I think I just might switch providers because customer service doesn't do anything but say "sorry for the inconvenience" and they don't actually take any action!! Goodbye Ambit ✌🏾
I am a person that likes to budget out my paychecks. I never want to be short on money, and I always like to make sure that everything want to my bills are paid for and my children are taking care of. Anytime I try to go into the app and see what my used to visit automatically crashes. I thought it was just going to happen a few times until they fixed it, but it never stopped. Its continuing to go, and I've had it for about 2 months now.
Update: This app still doesn't work. App hasn't worked for me for the past 2 months. I'm on paperless billing. When I try to open the app to pay my bill it says "Failure to open account. Please try again later." How much later do I have to wait to pay my bill like I set it up‽??
Don't even bother downloading, you can't make payments and it doesn't pull up your account information. You have to do everything through a laptop, for whatever reason the app has stopped working for months and they refuse to fix it.
I see that I'm not the only one having the same issue with it not allowing me to log into my own account. It worked wonderfully for the first year maybe two but all of a sudden it throws the same error message and wont let me see anything, please fix.
Well the reviews weren't wrong. The app is absolutely horrible. I installed it went to open it to log in and it immediately crashed. Pretty sad that a company like this can't even have a decent mobile app. I just moved to Texas and went with ambit energy. If this is any sign of things to come I guess I'll probably be switching companies soon. Absolutely ridiculous.
This app is terrible! It closes when I try to change usage period on the graphs. It takes forever to open and load information and then shuts down very time. This is a great company and the app should be so much better!
I always have difficulty paying my bill through the app. It keeps telling me when I put in my payment that they is still an error that I need to fix. I fixed everything and it will still not go through. I end up paying my bill late every month because of this.
It's just crash after crash after crash when I'm trying to look up my usage. It didn't crash when I paid my bill though. Funny how that happens. Uninstalled and reinstalled and now it crashes when I log in. Complete trash.
generally good. has everything you need. BUT! Perpetually poorly made. you open it and theres a blank screen wity a spinning loading icon. and nothing happens. clear data, stop the app. its silly.
This app has been sucking for a while now. Same as the new phone system. It doesnt open when and IF you're able to type in your login info. It's annoying! Fix ASAP!!
Please fix the damn app been waiting for almost 3 months for it to work but keeps saying "failure to access acount" and when I try to pay on the onsite I have such problems! Please fix both app and site! Been 7 months now no fix
This app use to work perfectly fine but lately, it keeps failing to open. It's still not working at all. Edit: 2•28•22 The app still isn't working, won't open up once you login. We need this bug fixed please.
Horrible app. It never lets me login. Always shows an error message, and going straight through the website is no better. I will not be renewing my energy with them.
All of the sudden app stopped working, it let you login but then you can't see or pay the bills, from past couple of months this is happening earlier it used to work.
Good to review your account but can't make any changes or pay a bill within the app. Any time I attempt to pay a bill, it says the app is outdated and need an update but there is no available update. If the issue is fixed, I will change my rating.
This app used to be okay about a year and a half ago but not anymore. It usually crashes or won't let me log in or when I log in the amount owed is cleared after I get a error. This Gotta BE Fixed Ambit Energy...
Can not login. Tells me login incorrect, can login online but not the app. This needs to be fixed very aggravating. I have uninstalled app, doesn't work just taking up space. 6 months later still can't sign in and customer service HA. Login says MMA credentials invalid.
They start you off at good affordable rates but increase the bill every month so by the end your paying almost four times as much as when you started. My bill increased 300% in just 6 months, and they charge a 200$ cancelation fee.
If I could give a negative rating, I would. This app is garbage. Its always crashing and the data is unreliable. It rarely lets you sign in and when it does, it's lack of reliability makes it difficult to review your acct data or pay your bill. Would recommend an energy provider who has a functioning app and unrestricted/reliable data access.
