The app requires an Asana API key, which is not supported by Asana anymore. Therefore I can't use it. The app needs to be upgraded to the current way of integrating with the Asana API.
They have done a really good job and having it offline is really awesome. When the app is launched it takes less than a second and it conveniently shows all the projects on the left side. You can choose to hide the completed tasks (wish they had done that on the real app on a desktop). Wait to go. They need to show the sub tasks, surely it will come soon
paid $5 for this app and found it ok. good use and easy to add the tasks. but then we need to go to the computer to do any editinf or customising. hence i need to be on my lapfop with asana at least once a day. but ita great that it works offline and then syncs tasks. great when phone network is not there. would like to assign to ppl and akso subtasks and comments.
Great start for an android Asana app but the lack of support for subtasks or sorting by projects in the My Tasks view really complicates things. The interface itself could use a little work also. But since this app is still at the v1.0 level, the quality already here is a good sign for the future.
This app has a lot of potential, but is missing a lot of key features like workspace management, subtasks and team integration, the ability to reorganize tasks. The design and interface is nice but lacks anything closer to the complete ease and functionality of the browser version or some of its competitors. I hope for the $5 I spent these issues and missing features will addressed sometime soon. Otherwise it's a clean, great app. But for I'd recommend the trial or a free version of mobile Asana.
MyAsana is a much better client for Asana than the one the creators provide, but it does have a few faults. The widget doesn't refresh properly, so I have to go into the app and refresh it manually to get the latest task data, then refresh the widget. Also I don't like that tasks due today are marked red - I'd at least like the option to have them marked green, like the Asana website does. Other than that it's a fine app for an excellent task management tool. Everything looks nice and it's simple to tick off tasks as you complete them.
User interface is a bit clunky with boxed in buttons for data on individual tasks, but the interface is usable. The fact that it stores data for offline use and syncs when it has a data connection is hands down an improvement over the native app, which takes longer to sync over a network when you first access the app. Widget is usable and useful but could use some advanced features like adding or editing a task from the widget itself, and could use a smaller "summary" widget as opposed to the full screen widget size on my phone (takes an entire page). I would lobby for popup task notifications on my phone as a high priority item, even if it's generated outside of the native asana application. Also, assigning a time for the popup notification as a reminder feature would be a great improvement. I'm not as concerned with subtasks and commenting as other people, but could see a use case for those features, just not in my daily application. Would also like to see either a push sync implementation or an option for more frequent sync (more frequent than the 15 minute option). Developer seems responsive to suggestions. Could be an Astrid replacement for sure.
This would have been good awhile ago but obviously they are struggling to keep up with Asana's fast rate of change. App doesn't support sections or sub tasks. Only useful for the widget.
I am missing 2 key features: comments and people are not visible / accessible in the app. We use task comments heavily, I do not have full picture without them. Without ability to see people, I can't review tasks assigned to my reports.
Really disappointed with how this APP works on my Galaxy Note 10 tablet. Online you can expand the tasks window and tier them together. I dont see that ability with this.
Over the course of six months, I have twice emailed to ask whether a feature exists and have received no response. Also, the lack of subsections and search functionality are problematic.
A pretty good client that's fast and clean and syncs in the background. Would like better date selection (calendar please!) But otherwise decent.
The app is very pretty and functions very well, but not being able to see subtasks makes it incredibly annoying to have multi-step projects.
*No longer working. It appears the developer abandoned this project - at least based on the lack of updates since a year ago and no response to communication.
Glad that you made this app and it works quite nicely. But please implement comments and subtasks soon. Without these the app is half as useful as it should be.
I love this app for its widget and fast task editing, and I use it every day for both work and home to dos. If the widget could be resized to be 4 by 2 and 4 by 3 as well as 4 by 4, it would be that much more flexible.
The option to hide checked tasks, at least in the widget, would be great - also, an option to have a comprehensive "My tasks" view, with all tasks from everywhere that are assigned to me would be really, really helpful.
Better functionality than Asana's official Android app, which is awful. MyAsana offers functionality closer to the web app. Needs more polish and design though. Would do well to go Material Design.
OK. Still rough design. Not super easy to use. Is it so complex to design something simple and nice. It seems yes.
Much more fluid and easier to use than the native app. This allows immediate access to complete workflow. Would be perfect if they added ability to add attachments and utilize subtasks
Thank you for this asana is a great project management tool and lacks of mobile. This app definitely fills the void and also feels like Asana. Thank you also for the widget.
No subtasks, commenting, assigning other people to tasks, and no widget for tablet users.... Could be much better for a $5 app. I'll give an extra star per item you add. Currently 1 star because there is only 1 level of task viewing.
please sync undone tasks only and add support for subtasks.
Bought it last week because there was nothing else right now, and today asana release one for FREE and there is no limitations on the functions, not like the myasana apps which is very restricted.
Not everything is possible with the asana app, but this app better than using the mobile web page on my experience... Thanks!
Difficult initial setup, missing features, the best thing it has got G for it is the offline access and entry
Need to be able to see other team members and task them. Otherwise its just an expensive to do list. Try the free version of the asana mobile client. Much more functional. Refund please.
Wouldn't even log in using my API key, rubbish uninstalled. Google this app needs removing
I've been using this app for a while now and wanted to review to say that this is the best Asana app available for Android! The full version is definitely worth purchasing. Much more functionality than the official app.
Not happy. My normal Asana app stopped working for no reason with no upgrade option, so I downloaded this one which I can't use because of some mysterious API issue and browser incompatibility. Please fix it?
