App is not very easy to use. It is glitchy, hard to login, you cannot forward or reply to messages. When I uploaded documents there was a long delay until they could be accessible to my tax person. And now even with my app updated when I try and open it it says new version must be used and redirects me to the app store. I am trying to delete and reinstall we'll see what happens then.

The app has multiple spots where it hangs up and does not work. Weirdly, the website also has multiple spots where it hangs up and does not work. I had to constantly hand off between my app and the website to finish set up, and then when my appointment time came I was stood up. Incredibly bad experience, I'd rather do my taxes myself than deal with this.

Broken. I don't know how you can go backwards in the current technological climate, but HR Block has managed it with this app. Less intuitive than ever. Less information readily available. Oh and best thing is nearly everything that is clickable to load new documents or help windows does NOT work at all. Useless app basically at this point.

I had high hopes, don't waste your time. I still can't get through the initial information process and it's been a week of me trying and restarting my phone etc. I'm clicking "yes" for one question but it won't let me click "Next". The button just turns black and nothing happens. That's where it's stuck and I can't get any help through chat.

The app doesn't have the option to create an account, only to sign in. It takes you to a website to set up an account and sends a text to verify this account but the text never arrives even after hitting resend a few times. Going back to the app gives a blank page. Guess I have to try the website or another tax preparer all together.

THIS IS THEE MOST HORRIFIC APP EVER! It is the slowest loading app in all of the app store/playstore! (& I have excellent data/wifi bars/speeds!) I get unbelievably frustrated every time I use this app! The "Tap for Balance" button does not work to turn on! I also have an issue with getting my balance via text! I cannot believe that this well known of a company has this type of an app running at the speeds it runs and does not fully function! I wish I could rate this app a -5 stars!

Usually go to the H&R Block office, but used their app this year. Worked well. Not perfect though. Took 5 tries for my return to be accepted. Frustrating. Not 100% their fault. Just wasn't clear why and how to resolve it in the app. I finally figured it out. Didn't use it last year, so I didn't have the old form to submit the new form... Frustrating. Overall, a good app.

Buttons didn't work; photo w2 input failed; no explanations to help understand terms, I went off app to look them up, when I came back I had to restart the process; had to pay additional money to file a form that is required by my state (1099-misc ak pfd); and at the end of it, despite their guarantees, my taxes were rejected and I need to make an in person appointment anyway. I do not recommend this, especially if stressors can cause neurological meltdowns for you. Worst experience with an app.

App barely works. 2/10 times clicking hyperlinks actually does something. Overcharges like all tax softwares. Cannot view documents, links to print them simply dont work and links to just view them dont exist. Also everytime you leave the app or click out to see something else you will have to go through every prompt again, which is a lot of prompts.

While the app got the job done, I ran into several infuriating glitches. No way to go back to your account home screen. You click that x you are signed out. Then you have to restart that section over. Secondly when I selected get 2020 transcript from IRS nothing loaded. No problem shooting fixed the issue either.

Disappointed overall. Submitted all the documents required. 7 days went by and the working on it status hasn't changed. I messaged in the app no response... now I've been on hold for going on 30+ minutes... not happy at all and I've been using them for the last few years. Thought it'd be easier and more convenient to use the app. I was wrong .

I have run across several bugs, blank screens, UI issues, input bugs, and terrible UX. Even on the website. This is supposed to make taxes easier, but this process is so frustrating that I don't even think it's even possible to set up an appointment.

This app is awful. Constantly loading and reloading, continuous sign in prompts, changes or updates on your account or card never save. Payments I made on my refund loan didnt post. Im still getting bills saying i owe it yet it was taken directly from my return. I'm still looking but it appears they charged me twice for for doing my taxes (not the emerald advance) and then kept my state refund to pay thier fees. THEN proceded to take it from my federal return too.

It's a great app! I haven't had any trouble with it. Update... Haven't had any trouble until now! 12-30-20 Everytime I try to go on the app it locks me out, and it's slower now, I'm not sure what's going on with it but hope it gets fixed soon! Leaving 3 stars cause I haven't uninstalled yet. Update... I've been using this app for several years now and for awhile it was doing better, but now low and behold as soon as I get my taxes filed the app starts acting up. Won't let me login 🤦🤷

The first year I used this it glitched a bit, now I can't use it at all. Can't update my information, can't upload docs, not even sure if my messages are going through to my tax pro. Come on, this is the second year the app freezes and glitches and won't work! I have to drive an hour to the tax office because the app is useless.

Horrendous. Just completely horrendous. Filing it was okay, but most of the links besides the next & back button (for example the "read more" type of links) always freeze. This also happens with the "print taxes" button which infuriates me because i need to print and mail it to get my return. Please fix this app.

Works when it wants to. Sometimes cant even log in when i need it. They keep updating it and its still bad or maybe worse than before. The green little box spins around when you first open the app, i guess thats the update. Its July 2021now and it's still a bad app. April 2022, awful app.

App seems to function fine for the most part. However, it seems to have trouble displaying messages. When I get a notification or email that I have a new message, the app shows that there aren't any messages. I have to use the website.

Input failures make filing taxes not possible. You'd be going through the questionnaire and suddenly it won't advance to the next. Some fields you can't really see because the font color is so close to the background color. Seems like the app wasn't tested before release to the Playstore.

The website constantly crashes so I figured I could continue everything with the app. Turns out THE APP CRASHES CONSTANTLY ALSO. I sign in and get one single thing done and then it crashes. If is taking me days to do a tax return because I literally can't finish it because it keeps not working. Please please please fix this, it has been going on like this for weeks.

Big Flaw. I have a amount that clearly in box 5b of W2 is the taxable amount, but this app wrongly keeps using the 5a amount. No help can be found by me. Another app gets me another 100 dollars, probably due to this flaw. Have used block for many years, but it has gotten sketchy in the last two years, I don't trust it, and may have to seek another solution.

I've used this app for the last few years, this is the first time it's glitched this way. I'm very disappointed. It had 2 other agents starting my taxes, then the only one that responded says she's paying it on to the other person that started it. And now I can't complete the last few steps to get my return. I'm stuck, It'll glitch every time I try, And have no other options because I have to pay for the advance I get every year and can't go to anyone else. It's bs. I'm mad.

You will get soft locked when you are just about finished and realize you need to go back to double check something. There is no way to return to the beginning once you've hit the pay wall. It's very unintuitive and forces you to buy the product they think you need.

As I am writing this, the app is down. Hands down the worst money app & card. The bugs are endless. When and if the government sends you money on this card, be prepared to wait for them to fix the bug. They make or may not cancel your card without notice. I have several online accounts. I would never use this for anything I didn't want to argue over.

Horrible company, totally unprofessional. Website and app don't work, and tech support has no clue. Even if you pay for a tax pro, they cannot help. I've sent my documents 5 weeks ago, and I'm still calling daily trying finish. Do not use their services! Edit: after 6 weeks and go solution I had to file for an extension.

Just downloaded last week and it's not letting me log in. Every time I try it's loading for a few minutes and then goes right back to the login page. Not great for an app that is supposed to make taxes easier. I can't even get into it to see how my taxes are going or see any updates.

The app is a headache if you need to go back and change things. I'm stuck in a loop that won't let me go back past the accuracy check. I've been trying to resolve the issue for hours. Currently waiting on hold if the wait time exceeds 30 minutes I probably won't file with them.
