MyBMTC - Official BMTC app

The UI and features are better than the older app. But it always show wrong information at source and destination with a stop difference. I have missed my buses many a times due to this. And major issue is it crashes the device UI. I literally can't do anything for about 5-10 min until it restarts. It just hangs at the loading symbol below. This is the worst part of it.

It's better than the previous app but it says nothing about the stops in-route. For example, I wanted to go from my place to the airport, then I can only see bus numbers and the changing stop. However, in the previous app their was a map to know where exactly is the bus stand. I can't find the intermediate stops either in those suggested routes. It also doesn't show when a bus is going to arrive at a particular stop, a feature which was there in the previous app.

The best initiative by BMTC. Wonderful accuracy and exact location analysis. The best app for a fresher to use. One thing that lacks is the management of buses by the conductors and drivers. The app shows the final destination but the buses don't complete the whole journey always. They cut down stops and purposefully halt at the wrong location. Please do improve this facility for the best running of the application. But on the whole thanks for the whole team....

The old app was better than this. This doesn't provide right status of the bus. I missed two buses because of wrong information. Earlier the app had real time bus tracking on the map and had a lot of information. This is not user friendly and lacks information. Please use the earlier app only if u really want to help the commuters. I am a sincere airport bus commuter. I always use the app to track. I feel really helpless now with this app.

Very Basic App and missing information about all the stops that the bus is crossing. Also live distance and map which was available in earlier version is missing. This App has to be developed by a professional company and not by an individual. There is nothing that comes for free. We have better information available on Google maps. Live location and suggestions are better there.

App development is quite good. But the previous version was much more informative, that use to show where exactly the bus is. It would be great if you can add the features to it. Because it can help students who travel long distance from college to House, because due to covid all the auto and cabs have hiked their fair. As students use BMTC bus pass. We can easily travel if we know where the bus is😇. Hpoe the requirement will be fulfilled.

This app is officially a dud. Tried using it at a bus stop, after switching on location, and it said it could not track nearby bus stops. Could not search for a particular bus route also because it said there was no network on my phone. Ironic, since I was easily able to book an Ola auto 2 mins after this. Thinking it was a problem with the network, I tried the app once more, over a stable WiFi network, while streaming a movie online. The result? Not able to show due to no network. Useless 🤦

Extremely basic app. Calling the functionality it provides "real-time" is misleading. A lot of bus stops are missing from the available list or showing inaccurate information. The only plus point is that it loads faster than the old app. But what's the point of efficiency if features themselves are barely there?

Worst experience nowadays. It's not working at all. It's not showing any bus location or exact bus timings and all really it's a worst app I have ever seen. Before lockdown it's working too good. But now it's become completely useless. Please correct it and add GPS again to this app and also buses. It will help your department only. Because people will increase for travel if you correct this issues. Thank you

This new app has better tracking of buses but currently It crashes and stops responding when using text box. It gets hung after clicking on the textbox and makes the whole phone UI stuck and unresponsive. I have to restart my phone to get it back to normal. Please fix this. The current user experience is terrible. Also, it doesn't show many direct buses to airport. The older BMTC app used to show ETA along with bus number. Hope to see it in upcoming updates.

Better than the previous official app for sure. Previous app keeps crashing and always error prone trip planner. Current one is better, but there is scope for improvement. Having maps is the first thing. The people who are commenting that Google Maps is better, try travelling using it. It doesn't use the gps support installed in the buses and of no use.

The BMTC bus information app has improved since the last version. However, it needs more features for making it usable and useful for daily BMTC commuters. It would be good to have access to the BMTC bus schedules from the application so that a consumer could know the start time of I saw an inconsistency in the app w.r.t. suggesting an indirect route for a trip when a direct route is available. While the V-500BM bus route is a direct one, it is not listed as a recommendation. I hope this app would evolve to include more features. This is a much needed app.

The previous version was more user friendly. The addition of maps hasn't necessarily made it easier to find information on the bus routes. Also unable to add stops to favorites that I could do before. Please provide an option to roll back to the previous version of the app which was simpler and more effective in giving out information to the user

I love the the concept and a really good execution too. But, the app has some internet issues at times when the network is just fine, and I would suggest you make users with more information on the upcoming buses to the bus stops. Like the total route of the bus, fare costs from one stop to another, current location. There are more but these are the main features that needs to be implemented.

The app is good, needs a guide or instruction tool embedded for the elderly using there "out of context devices". I do hope an updated version over time is able to embed the metro line connectivity as well. It does work, and we should support it, as a wise man once said, a step in the right direction is 50% better than no direction at all, and a 100 against the wrong...

The new app (by Nihar Thakkar) is much faster and has a much better interface. Many improvements are needed, and the some of the original features need to be added (e.g. complaint tracker). The system cannot handle volvos that are returning from Contract Service. Such buses are returned to route#335E, 500D, etc. but they actually start their journey from where they end their contract duty. Probably the system does not capture the details of such "mid-start" buses. Many times the Current location is interpreted as a bus stop that's not nearby. Indirect routes are shown, but we cannot drill down to see each leg of that journey.

Lots of improvements and very simple gui to use ... a must have for ppl commuting via bus. The present version of the app has become very intelligent and simple and provides only the relevant data and the gui is very easy to navigate. The "Stops nearby" option is very useful and clicking on it provides information on the buses that are arriving and the roomwe by which they are arriving. I still miss the ticket raising option which was available in the previous app. Please include the feature

The previous version was better. Most of the reviews mentioned for previous version asked for Maps Integration, I agree. But I wish it was just added as additional option, not the only Option. Also, Favorites option was removed here. I don't know why. I personally prefer using the previous one if I have to choose one among these.

Majority of the data shown in this app is wrong. Buses are plying in different routes, but this app shows them to some other routes. Not a reliable app. Multiple complaints including written ones seems to be hitting deaf ears. I will just get one feedback now that will try to show the world, this organisation cares.

This new app works fine with little faults occuring once or twice. Realtime Tracking needs to be accurate more. Needs still more features old app had. Lots of improvement needed. UI can be little easier, better to handle, please add timetable of buses of routes with stops list and adding/removing favorite buses/routes was good in previous version. Some more improvements needed and please try to develop menu based app UI in upcoming updates. Dear BMTC please remove the old app from the playstore.

Previous app was providing useful information when it worked. This app is giving all false information. Fix the issues and release the app. App says there are no buses running right now and I see bus in the bus stop. Why can't the bugs be fixed. Why can't BMTC fix this kind of issues. How many years it will take to fix these bugs. Still same in Feb 6th release app

Continually crashes my phone to the point I have to restart it several times. So many of the routes indicated in the app don't exist in reality, so this has caused a fair bit of problem. Option to add favorite routes and bus stops has also been removed with a new update. All in all, it was a good app but the update with the map addition has completely ruined it.

Very good app by Nihar. Suprisingly Smooth and clutter free app for a beta version. 1.Need option to report incorrect bus number and bus route. 2. Some kind of push notifications to alert such that one can leave house/office in advance. Some thing like what Google maps commute does. Thanks for your efforts.

This is the worst app where the previous version is only very good than this so pls try to bring back the previous version so that it will be helpful for the students who are living inner area. This is the worst application that I had never seen before so atleast try to bring back the previous version itself which helps the people in viewing their bus that where exactly it is comming into one picture . I want the previous version of bmtc application then this because that is more helpful to me.

This app great!! And pretty useful!! I have started using this app and it gives pretty good precise information about location of BMTC bus and time at which it arrives at a particular bus stop. As we all know BMTC is cheapest mode of transportation but if we can know the exact timing about its arrival that would be very very useful. Thanks a lot for building this application.

The app is not working anymore. Before the pandemic, it was really good. Hope it's back on track soon. Past Review: Excellent upgrade from your past application. I hope you add Fare Estimation, BMRCL, etc linked as well.

Nihar Thakkar has done a real great job with the app..precise information of bus arrivals based on source and destination..it really makes things very very convenient for working people..they'd really know when to be at the stop based on this live tracking and save time instead of waiting incessantly for a bus arrival. BMTC did a really good thing in adopting this app, though late. Keep on a lookout for such great enhancements and be rewarding to people who bring about such great change.Thanks!

Great app crippled by GPS. Current design is how's it should be, very smooth and easy to use. Major problem is most of the buses are not showing up probably due to the GPS issues. Please rectify. We can see more buses arriving at stop when compared to the listed buses in the app.

Earlier app was better and userfriendly. options and icons easy to operate but the updated version is not accuracy plz release previous version itself Eventhough we r having direct buses it is showing an indirect buses , earlier it is showing the buses on map itself so that we can easily identify the buses but now it is not possible so plz make some improvement with earlier features . As i am a frequently user if this app.

I tried the 'plan my trip' feature. User interface is good. But information about some one-ways are not updated. Hopefully BMTC can work with BBMP to have real time updates on routes; this is something which could give the app an edge over Google maps.
