I've researched and used some other firm/client management platforms including Clio, Smokeball, PracticePanther, Abacus/Next, and others. MyCase is the most intuitive, customizable, easy to use, and customer support is good. Plus they've just incorporated a docu-sign type of feature and auto-billing with payment plans. I'd recommend.
Regular price hikes, barebones app. Before signing up, I asked MyCase about negative reviews relating to price increases, response was that they had just raised prices for the first time in years and that all complaints stemmed from a single client. Well, they've raised the rate $10/month/user every year since. They do regularly roll out rudimentary versions of competitor's features, but hardly worth a premium. Mobile app provides *very* limited functionality.
Good app. Could be great. MyCase has this great new "Leads" feature, which we have been using heavily, only to find out I can't access the Leads in the app. This app really needs to incorporate new features when MyCase adds them to the computer version. I want to use this case mgt system, but it needs to move to my smartphone flawlessly, otherwise it's useless to me. I'm a solo practitioner with a statewide practice, so I'm out of the office and away from my computer often. Come on, MyCase!
Where to begin. It's clunky. I have to go through too many steps to get to documents, cannot see my leads, cannot receive push notifications when anything happens, no call log feature on a phone app. Needs a complete overhaul.
Desktop is exactly what my office needs. App is useful at a glance and on the fly but its features are very limited. Push notifications would be super useful. At minimum: messages/comments, calendar reminders, task reminders, docs uploaded by clients.
Pretty much useless for most tasks. You can't create intake forms or really do anything useful with documents. If you are looking to check messages or emails it's great, otherwise it's useless.
Keeps crashing right at the logo. Been like that for a week now. Doesn't help if I can't access my cases on the go. Too, the app very limited. Basically still need to be at a desktop in order to access majority of the features. Please fix the crashing asap.
Software is good. App is ok. Would be nice if there was widget that I could keep open on my homescreen. Would be great if I could use the texting feature from inside the app instead of having to do it from a PC.
Not very useful. Can't see contact photos. Can't see/edit custom fields for people. Can't see custom fields or edit anything for company contacts. Doesn't sync in real time. Hard to understand so many of these limitations.
It needs delayed messaging so you can send a message that you set up in advance at a later time it's not good to get messages all through the night if you can avoid it like most apps nowadays.
I discovered my attorney helped his cousin in divorce she suddenly wanted. Found attorney i was impressed. No secretary. I didn't get get email 1st day from "my case". Delayed my own case months so i tried to help "my case" so it wouldn't happen to anyone else and see if their server's were down or attorney messed up. they referred back to my attorney. Now I'm over 2 years behind. All he did was alert both. Stay completely away from any attorney that uses it in my opinion!!! 0 stars!
App crashes at logo. Same thing happens on my boss's phone and another co-worker. something changed. Please fix!
This is stupid, I've been trying to download it since 9am or before and it will not download. And I've been everywhere trying to do it and I really need it.
Very helpful, if only all the countries in Indiana would get online
Not an app anymore.
App is challenging to use/unstable. Mycase also constantly increases monthly charges w/o notifying users.
App doesn't provide access to enough functions, such as client intake.
I used to love having moble access to N MyCae, but it no longer launches with Android 12. Literally can not use it on my Pixel 6.
Since an update, the app is crashing on my phone. Now it is not even opening
Completely useless app. It just redirects you to the website on your browser...

When it works, I love it. But I get daily errors trying to input time from the app which means I either waste a bunch of time trying to get it to work or forget to bill those entries when I get to a desktop. Wasted time vs. lost revenue is a frustrating choice when this is supposed to be improving my bottom line.
