MyCircle 1st generation

Not good. Like others have said, it glitches and some things don't work or respond, even when unpaused. Then, when you want to uninstall because the app keeps causing issues, you get frustrated trying to figure out how to have it on installed (Because you just can't click uninstall, for obvious reasons). Believe me, I wanted this app to work, but it simply does not. It's just a headache. Developers should fix.. Would expect more than one star rating for a Disney backed product.

I've had the circle system for over a year now and it's only worked accurately about 5% of the time. If I forget to close a tab when I leave the house, it will run down the time limit. I've stopped receiving notifications for the circle system even thought I have them set up. when I open the app, the dashboard does not show my used time or bedtime/off time count down. And within the past month I have not been able to access any of my instagram messages, which I know is caused by the circle.

this app is helpful and all, but as a kid who is on it it has some huge issues. 1: my app hasn't been showing my bedtime countdown for months now, i like to know when it is. 2: it was totally blank for over a month. it just recently came back but i'm still having issue 1 and it's annoying. 3: sometimes it stops working. allows me on websites i'm usually not allowed on and stuff. i don't go to them to check, but yeah, i prefer it to work so i don't see something i don't want to see. please help?

The app worked as it should at first, but after a few weeks of use, it shut down my network completely. It chanced the bedtime settings and after that, completely removed the bedtime thing, still leaving my network unworking. An yes, I'm a child writing this review. I asked my parents if they had done something to make my network shut down completely, but they hadn't, my father was just as confused as me. Edit: after reinstalling the app, it started to work as supposed again! :)

App was working great up until theblast month or 2. The GO feature stopped working...which I found out this week has been discontinued. I had one if the original circle boxes which was then replaced with the Netgear router which came with Circle support. I have enjoyed being able to turn off the family's wifi access, but also relied quite a bit on the Go feature to pause the 4g access as well, when kids were delaying doing homework and I wasn't home from work yet.

Does not work. My son bypassed it within a few days. He used VPN and it also counts anytime a device is connected. So he also complained of doing homework in Word then not being to go online after.Has bugs such as time limit not working/happening too soon. Plus it slows the device you install it on very slow and battery consuming. All in all very useless and there are already multiple tutorials online on how to bypass it. Personally I recommend just shutting down the router instead.

I really wanted to like this app. I installed it for myself to test it before installing it for my children. Unfortunately, it fails too often. When it does fail, it will either allow everything or nothing. About half the time, rebooting the phone made it work again. The other half it would not respond to anything other than a full removal and reinstall. The home service is good, but the mobile one, at this time, is not ready for anything other than beta. I hope they improve the service soon.

I understand the trying to limit your child's time on electronics but the app is generally horribly made, it glitches and recently has told me about having used 3 hours of time... I used 3 hours last week and it still says this, it's supposed to notify you that you have like 15 to 20 minutes left and all but the notification comes 15-20 minutes after you run out of time, they finally fixed the crashing from opening the app but it still happens sometimes

if I were you I wouldn't get it, I think it was a good idea until their idea was to put as little time and money into this app as possible. the app is nice for controlling time but it can take away your time at any moment and blocks things that shouldn't be blocked. Also there are so many ways to get around it, if the apps purpose is to prevent is from using the internet then they should have a good security system.

I'm just going to come out and say it I'm a child which this app gets used on. And it works for limiting time on wifi, but it has one big fault, me and my brothers use an Xbox but when one of us uses the Xbox all of our time gets used up. Also I believe that this app should have unlimited texting for those who don't have data (for emergency situations).

I wish there was a way for filtered accounts to request a site/app to get whitelisted. Because my only real problem is that it's a pain to get sites whitelisted because of my mother having to type in the site. it would be much easier for me copy and pasting it into the app and sending the request off. which would then notify the phone with mycircle home on it that I requested a site and then they could press a button to either accept or delete.

didn't work... at all and caused my child's phone to not work unless she was at home. pointless. i cancelled the subscription uninstalled the app on both devices and today was charged. i can't find a way to request a refund when i haven't even used this longer than a few days during the free trial. instructions say go to my orders swipe left in the app to be refunded and fill out form. there is no ability to see left no form.

This app works accurately about 9 days out of the year. I usually have a time limit, but mostly it displays that I don't have any time limits at all and haven't used any time, and then still cuts me off the exact same as if the app were working. Multiple times it has connected me to some other family's circle named "Quingdao" that I've never even heard of and gives me no restrictions whatsoever. If I'm going to be restricted, I'd at least like to know what is going on so I can manage my time, but that hardly ever happens.

Ok, before you read this and say I am a child upset at the parental controls, I am. However, I am not upset at the controls, it helps me regulate my time on electronics, something I needed for awhile. My complaint, however, is how extremely unstable the app is, it crashes, doesn't open and sits in the background sometimes, and drains battery. All the problems others talk about are probably parents who don't know what their doing, and my mother does, making my experiences not horrible.

My Circle is basically a way to control your kids usage of time. obviously a kid like me would say it's a stupid idea. nonetheless it's actually works. it makes kids do their homework, find new hobbies, and socialize the "right" way. I'm fine with what circle does, its just that the app is terrible. The apps mission is to basically tell you when bedtime will start, how long you have been on the internet, and manage times on certain apps. it failed its mission. it's only shows twitter posts.

I am a parent who thinks this app is very disappointing. i am trying to have a fair system set up with resonable limits, and this app isnt helping. my main issue is how inaccurate it is. we can look at my phone and my childrens phones and get 3 different times and usages.

Great app to limit time on games. It's had a very positive effect on my life. However, i would like for there to be a feature where the app warns you about how much game time you have left, similar to the way bedtime notifications work (i.e. "You have 30 minutes of game time left). Apart from that, the app is great

broken and barely works. my parents tried using this for me and I can never play games anymore. before installing, i had 100+ up/down speeds and now its less than a megabyte up/down. their servers are broken and the circle constantly disconnects, severing your connections with it. Don't throw away your money on it.

When my internet is supposed to work i have to restart wifi and circle multiple times to make it work. App will rarely allow me to open dms on ig. Ig sends a notif and then the dm just isnt there (but is still there on other devices) ik this is because of circle by tests with multiple phones with and without circle

This legit is a good app it does a great job at protecting. I would give 5 stars but it makes my phone run extremely slow and i have to force shut down my phone about 3 times a day. This happened recently so it's probably just a bug or a bad update.

The app doesn't show me my used time or how much time I have left which get really annoying since it's been this way for months. I'm really hoping this gets fixed so I don't run out of time with no warning anymore.

Currently tapping my Note 8 CPU constantly. Driving my battery down quickly. Android OS wants to reset app but it does nothing to improve when I do.

I feel very uncomfortable knowing my parents can see literally everything that I text to my friends.I'm 12, and I know not to look at inappropriate sites and things like that.I'm OK with the time limits, but 99 percent of the time it just glitches out and says I have used all of my time when I haven't used my phone yet today.My dad recently disabled online games on my phone, but now anything wifi related doesn't work.(Things like Clutch, Xbox console companion, etc.)Parents,dont control kids.

This is a HORRIBLE app!!! It glitches all the time! When you want to see how much time your kid has left on a certain app, it just shuts down and never reopens! 😡 I thought my kids would be able to do this. not worth it!

While I'm not too upset about the time limits on my internet, I downloaded the app in order to get notifications of when I have 15 minutes left on a given app or website. But it no longer sends me notifications to warn me or even tell me when time is up. Is there a way this can be fixed?
