MycoIdent, Mushroom Identifier
MycoIdent is a mushroom identifier particularly well suited to amateurs who wish to identify wild mushrooms, without any previous knowledge or equipment. It is also particularly efficient for more experienced mycologists, thanks to its database containing 900 of the most common fungi.
MycoIdent proposes an innovative fuzzy logic search engine to help identify mushrooms with pores or gills, generally much harder to identify than others.
Done with being lost in a determination key because of a barely visible character! Thanks to its simple and easy to understand questions, you'll quickly get a list of the most relevant candidates corresponding to your unknown mushroom.Any doubt about the answer to give to one of the questions? a detailed help will guide you through with real examples... You don't know what to answer at all? No problem, the engine will do without! It is even capable of taking into account potential mistakes you could make on the most complex criteria. For other more accessible mushrooms, classical identification keys will help you put a name on your mushroom to identify. Mycoident also contains a description for each species, with photographs when available, which will help you confirm your identification.
The revenues generated by this application will support a non-profit wildlife conservation association, recognised as promoting the public interest by the French authorities (http://www.cerf78.fr/).

I need to be refunded my money...every mushroom i looked up did not have a picture...then i got a mushroom with black spores and it would not let me know what kind it was...plus i live in the us...this isnt for mushrooms in my area.. it told me that ..the content was blocked..when i got a mushroom that had black spores So i tried again and it still keeps telling me blocked criteria

A good identification app, what let's it down is that you can't brows the data Base like flicking the pages of a book. You have to go through the identification steps before you can get to any fungi.
Found this app by mistake(why so hard to find out in store search?) By far the best mushrooms app ever found.. Mushrooms database is pretty complete (living in Italy)..I'd like to see more of the missing pics.. Interface very easy, allowing me to find immediately what I'm looking for.. Would be very nice to have the possibility to add my pics directly to the gallery..in the way I can customize (or add if missing) the main pic for any mushroom P. S. Why Armillaria Mellea to discard? Nice job!
