This was an excellent app and system, loved it. up until yesterday March 26 2022 when it asked me to reset a new password. Locked me out , doesnt let me sign in and will not let me setup a new account. wowzers. Not getting any help with this and still have money on the books.
This app was great until it asked me to update my password. When I enter a new password it says it's weak and to click on the question mark on the right to see what I can use for a password. No matter what I try I can't click on it so I have no idea what to change my password to. So now I can't use the app at all. Please fix this!
Can't add single vechicle to multiple accounts. How are two people in the same household with the same car supposed to park downtown with this app at different times. We drove the same vehicle, we're married, but we're not sewn together at the hip ffs.
The app is not working! Can't log in. Error every time. Need to be on time in an event and spending absurd amount of time trying to make this work. EpicFail. Web works.
Tells me to reset my password then locks me out of signing in to end my parking session because I've hit my maximum sign-in attempts. This doesn't even deserve 1 star.
Horrible app. I like that the government is trying to cut out the middle man with their own app, and I'd way rather pay the city for parking than use a soulless private company, but WHY DO THEY HAVE TO BE SO INCOMPETENT?!?
The app crashes all of the time. Not very reliable.
Paid another $25 on the app so I could park downtown, and they didn't show that 124th outside of Remedy even though it's Epark. The app is garbage.
The app crashes and even when uninstalled and reinstalled, as recommended by epark, does not operate properly. Their response is they are not responsible for the fines if their app doesn't work properly. Basically a money grab, and no recourse both epark and bylaw just point their fingers at each other if there is issues. I require parking for downtown for work, and will be utilizing the expensive day rate at parking garages moving forward.
This app inexplicably requires you load at least $25 before you can use it to pay for your $1.75 parking (presumably they're trying to minimize credit card charges, but the kiosk machines have no such limitation). My Google generated password, which met all the required parameters, was not accepted when setting up my account. Very amateurish app. Uninstalled, and cannot recommend - just use the kiosk. Too bad Edmonton doesn't use one of the other apps places like Vancouver and Toronto use.
It's fine for what it does. The Park a Friend option is OK but seems higher parking rates than when parking myself. I agree with other reviewers that it should be a pay-by-use vs preload credits system (as other parking apps do, even $1 at a time charges). Also, I don't get notifications that parking sessions are expiring/expired so I have to separately set a timer.
The password process on this app is absolutely the worst! Is it really that difficult? Why is it overly complicated!? OMG!
This app is complete trash. Just a money grabber for the city. There is no good reason I should have to load a $25 minimum when I'm not going to spend that much for parking. I should have to option to pay the amount I need, for the time I'm gonna park. This is just another attempt for the city to had out for tickets honestly. Needs major improvements UPDATE: 1 year and 9 months later, still no improvements. Honestly not surprised.
Really bad app, waste of taxpayer money, wouldn't work for me. Left and used PaybyPhone, a really good app.
I use this app all the time and love it! Very convenient for anyone who parks downtown. Easier to use than the payment machines on the street and if you end your parking session early it only charges you for that time. I did suggest they take PayPal to replenish your account funds rather than using a credit card.
To register you have to accept commercial communication. They say you can opt out by contacting the city of Edmonton. Nobody wants commercials sent to them because they decided to use a parking app. Also when you look for an area it goes to google maps and won't let you go back on the purchase ticket option unless you close app and relaunch
It doesn't recognize zones I enter, says invalid. Guess I'm not doing business downtown
One of the worst designed apps ever! The city should look at the many other parking apps and redesign this one. Forcing used to prepay at min. of $25 after having to go through so many fragmented steps is horrible. Customer experience here seems to set the stage if what other I teractions online with city digital tools will be like... not a good use of our tax payer dollars.
Pos tried to reset password says invalid email it's the only email I use get geek monkeys off the pot instead of playing with banana
This app and the website allow you to add money to your account for parking. I added money twice and the transactions never went through even after a week. I ended up leaving my appointment to run and pay the physical meter day of. Save yourself from frustrations and don't bother with this app or website.
Refuses to accept payment whether it's for the complimentary 30 min or for paid parking. Terrible functionality. $25 minimum pay-in which is highway robbery. Unscrupulous and glitchy. Also, if you have a problem and email them, it's a 10 day wait for a response. Useless. Do not use.
absolute garbage. cost is more than machine. will be deleting immediately. such a money grab. paid 1.07 at the machine for an hour. After hour was up needed more time so used the app. charged $5 for the next hour. yes correct zone. yes ended parking session when i got in my car. pricing is incorrect.
Barely gets the job done. Some parking areas is has normal amount of park time (2h parking downtown for example) however Ive had multiple instances where it tells me I need to pay for 45hrs+ which is absurd. I'm not gonna pay $65 when I can walk to the machine and select how much time I want to park for. Giving an option of how much time I want to park instead of just giving me the highest amount of time available would fix this whole issue. Please fix, it can't be that hard
App glitches and sometimes doesn't sign you in which results in a ticket. Or sometimes it doesn't sign you out (due to server issues) which results in all your loaded funds being wasted. Just use the stations and pay. Save yourself the headache.
Good app in general but i give it only 3 stars because it wont let you change the duration of your parking session!! So frustrating to just have to go and use the pay machine. Huge bug there.
why on earth is the minimum load 25$. i dont use city parking much. please make a lower minimum. Update: app is still garbage. Because of covid 19, COE offers free 30 mins parking thru the app. But you have to load money to use it. It gives an error of insufficient funds when you want to use free parking.
the ap requires a minimum $25 payment regardless of if you have any intention or possibility of using it...dont bother unless you are sure you will be using regularly and can stomach the policy built into it -presumably to save the City credit card processing fees. Otherwise its straightforward and seems to work ok.
