MyFlorida for the FLHSMV

I recently tried to renew my registration through this app and ran into a new glitch - the app couldn't seem to understand the choice of a 2 year (rather than 1 year) renewal! I think I found a work-around though. After choosing 1 year, at the end there was an option to make changes, including to the length of renewal period, which resolved the issue. I couldn't renew thru the even worse/not up to date DMV website whose offices are closed, so this app even if glitchy, was still the best option.

It does not let you renew with the 2-year option. I found a way around that--> when it asks you if you would like 1 or 2 years, select 1 year... When it asks you to look over everything and make sure everything is correct select the option that you want to change the renewal length. Then at that point select the 2-year option and it will go through. Other than that it worked perfect for me.

Offices closed due to COVID19. I tried renewing my car registration on my laptop. I was half way there then for whatever reason I could not move past the screen where you select your vehicle. I gave up then I saw My Florida has an app. I tried to download the app twice with no success. I decided to try again. It was so easy. I think it was the wifi at my job is weak in some areas. This is so worth the extra effort.

Also, the bot will give you 2 options to choose from when renewing your vehicle a 1 year option and a 2 year option. You can select the 2 year option, but the bot will respond that it: "does not understand your selection" no matter how many times you select that option. However, if you pick 1 yr. It responds right away. In other words there is no 2 year option even though they present it.

Only used the app because the website (which is cheaper) couldn't find my address even though I've lived in the same place for the last 8 years; funny how the app had no problem. Hopefully it works, couldn't choose to renew for 2 years right off the bat, had to edit it to 2 years at the end. Will raise to 3 stars if I actually get my registration.

It's OK. Facebook log in was not working, but I was able to link it to my Google instead. Chat bot needs work. I selected the 2 year option but it kept saying "I didn't get that". After I selected 1 year, I used the prompts to tell it was wrong, and was able to select the 2 year option. Don't enjoy jumping through hoops. Disappointed that the 3 year option was not available. Please bring that back.

The app is effectively malfunctioning on the back end. The UI seems to work (although it's poorly designed and lacks intuitiveness), however there seems to be a disconnect between the UI and the API, or the API isn't working, as typing it two different VALID license plate numbers with valid owner DoB's gave no results from their database. Trying to renew vehicle registrations with no changes, what could be simpler?Well, looks like despite COVID one still has to visit the DMV physically for this

Bot is broken. Asks you specifically if you want 2 years renewed, but if you click the 2 years option you get the message "Sorry, I didn't understand you. Try selecting one of the options." even though the option is there and was given by the bot. Good concept, but as always with FL sites and apps it's ran by people not qualified to do the work properly.

App installed on Samsung S9+. Great idea, average execution at best. The text screen was responsive but... 1. no ability to add a card directly from the text screen. fyi you have to set up a card in your profile first. 2. Once payment is selected the summary of the transaction is displayed over existing text and the process/submit button only shows a blue bar at the bottom of the screen.

I've never seen a more worthless app. It literally does nothing. I put in my information, it finds my car, and I select the registration to be renewed. After not seeing the charge come through for a while, I checked and nothing had been done. So now my registration is expired by almost 2 weeks. For something so important, you'd think they'd make sure the app worked. Or...you know...did anything at all.

2021 update STILL Best way to renew license plate EVER. I have used this app 6 years in a row for multiple vehicles. It is easy to understand. No distractions, fast, intuitive. Really sorry that other reviewers are having trouble this year. I renewed 4 tags in under 5 minutes. Wish all interaction with "gubbament" could be this efficient.

Can't renew for 2 years. The chat bot asked me if i wanted to renew my tag for 1 or 2 years. It gave two options, and i clicked 2 years. It said it couldn't understand my response. I tried multiple times with the same results. What kind of app presents two preset alternative answers, and "can't understand " one of them?! SMH

Today (3/25) I realized my registration expires in a couple of days and the next available appt is 9 days away so I downloaded this app. Despite the bad reviews it took me less than 10 minutes to download the app, search for, and renew my tags from out of state. And I got a confirmation I can use while the registrations arrive in the mail. The format is a bit odd for a state service because you are basically chatting with a bot but, don't we do that on a daily basis with messaging services?

GR8 APP but.... The app is awesome and the fastest way to renew your car's Florida tag but there is an option to contribute to charity that isnt working when its time to enter a dollar amount. Tried several different charities and none worked. Had to decline a contribution in order to be able to continue. Definitely not a user error.

Unable to access anything, nor add personal information or vehicle. The chat can't help you do anything other than a possible renewal. Looks like you might be able to store items, however there is not an add item option. You also can't look any of your records up!

Garbage app made by inept people just want to reinstate my license because the website was so hard to navigate. I couldn't even get past the first screen on this thing because the AI couldn't understand the word reinstate. A waste of my time and so is the website. Scrap them both and get someone with experience to design these things.

I was about to renew license plates online, there was message: 'use our app - it'll be even faster', so I got on phone and downloaded app. I went thru the process, linked checking account (NOT a debit oe credit card) and the cost was going to be another $1.75 fee on top of the $2.00 fee for doing it online with card. Pay MORE for using the app? No. I uninstalled and resumed on website. Don't bother.

I was skeptical because of another user review that stated they didnt get their registration, so I made sure to screenshot proof of messaging/receipt, but it was very fast, easy, and i got my registration in the mail very quickly. I would definitely recommend this app to those who need a seamless way to renew their registration.

Big waste of time!! Doesn't work and no support!! I emailed the support email and it was sent back undeliverable because it doesn't exist... I Downloaded it, registered and tried to renew my tag for 2 yr option and it wouldn't accept the selection by either clicking on the button not manual input. I located the support email since you can't call anyone for help and the email doesn't exist...

Stop trying to design things for "convenience" if you don't know how to make it work in the first place. Every time I try to renew my registration with your chatbot in a fake texting screen, I pick the 2 year option and get a "sorry, didn't catch that".

I would rate your app better if the chatbot were helpful at all. Just a screen that gives two options and asks you to "type something" or choose. The tag number shouldn't be the only option given for us to provide proof of ID,. VIN#, license#, and other government# should be options. This app was quickly and poorly put together for what it actually provides to Floridians and it costs too much as well. The offices get handsomely rewarded by cutting on labor costs meanwhile our taxes went up.

I thought I'd save time and have the convenience of renewing my motorcycle and boat registrations by using this app. Pay It, which My Florida uses charged my credit card and never processed my renewals. I did this a month ago. My registrations expire tomorrow. I filed a claim with my credit card company and also contacted Pay It and filed a complaint. They acknowledge charging my credit card but couldn't explain, but acknowledged that my renewals were never processed. Reportedly they will credit my credit card. I ended up renewing my registrations in person at the Lake County Tax Collector. The app is antiquated and does not allow contacting or chatting with a real person for resolving issues. Save yourself the time and aggravation by renewing by mail or in person.

Chatbox interface is terrible. Who was this designed for? I don't get it. Ultimately, I was not able to do what I wanted to do which was to renew my tag for 2 years. At least I didn't have to get very far into using before realizing the app was useless.

Pretty good app but had a few flaws. I couldn't check to see if my driver's license needed renewal in addition to a vehicle. Also, it wouldn't allow me to add a donation amount to the Charities I picked. Not sure what was up with that. Also, I would appreciate if the donation choices were a drop down menu where you could check the box for each charity you choose and fill in the donation amount for that charity beside it. This will help a lot with donating to multiple charities.

This app is AWFUL. The "bot" does not help. It is much easier online. And the "convenience" fees are outrageous. It's free to walk in and you get the sticker and registration on the same day. Not during COVID-19 phase 1. . . 7 to 10 business days.

Love the app so far, did not give 5 stars because the apps needs more. You should be able to do everything on the app that is on the website. Vehicle and vessel registration and renewal is Great, but I need more like drivers license and ID renewals as well. I understand first timers have to go in to verify info, but not the 40 or 50 year old that's lives in the same town same house forever. I know you can do it give us more. Thanks

This was my first time using the app. I forgot to renew my car tags before they expired and had issues getting them online. I downloaded the app and within 5 minutes I finished ordering them! My tags just arrived today and it only took 7 days!! I didnt even have to waste my day at the DMV! Best app made!

The worst app ever. Doesn't recognize my plate which I have for many years. I couldn't make the renewal through this app. And because the webpage doesn't work either, they force us go to the office. That's unbelievable

Fantastic. I normally do renew vehicle on the website. Today it just did not find me even though I have registration renewal notice sent from them. So I downloaded the app. What a pleasure. Done in less than 2 minutes. Much easier than the website for renewal of vehicle registration.

Very easy experience. I was able to use my Google account to log in, so no need to create an account. The bot worked quickly and was able to figure out issues I was having with the website. I can add this to the list of things chatbots are good for in 2020.
