MyFord Mobile

This version of the MyFord mobile app is available for Ford C-Max Energi and Fusion Energi Plug-in Hybrids as well as Focus Electric vehicles equipped with embedded modems. MyFord Mobile allows consumers to manage vehicle functions from a smartphone. This app will work in combination with the MyFordMobile website to give access to consumers in the method which works best for their lifestyles.
The MyFord Mobile app allows consumers to:
- View the current state of charge and fuel level
- Commence charging
- Precondition the vehicle cabin temperature by setting ‘Go Times’
- View Value Charge profiles
- Find charge stations
- Use remote vehicle controls

Consumers will initially receive MyFord Mobile free of charge at purchase, and for a fee after the initial 5 year subscription subsides. Additional information regarding MyFord Mobile interaction with Ford Vehicles can be found on: ford.com/cmax, ford.com/fusion, ford.com/focus, myfordmobile.com or plugintoford.com.

When it works it's pretty neat, but every time I open the app after it's been closed a few hours, it tells me that mobile data is off, and that I should turn off Airplane mode (which isn't on). If I turn Airplane mode off then back on twice, and then hit the Retry button, then it works. I'm pretty sure I've got signal, the 4G thing shows 4 bars, and there's a repeater in my building.

This app used to be great, but over the pat few months, it has stopped connecting, it refuses to update itself when you open the app. So I cannot remote start, cannot change or delete my go times and that is including doing it in the car via the sync system. And to repeat what another user commented on, it definitely takes WAY TOO LONG to connect and update.

I've had a great experience with app for a 2017 Fusion Energi for past 4 months. I don't try to lock/unlock/start the car when I'm within 250 feet...of course that is faster and easier with keyfob. But this just needs cellular connectivity. The biggest plus for me is setting a Go-Time remotely, to precondition the car off my normal schedule. I often leave the key in the car since Ford has door keypads, so I sometimes use remote start too. yes, I could always use more features, but great start!

This isn't a good app. It takes FOREVER to connect to the car (usually 45-60 seconds). It also often shows incorrect battery percentages for my Ford Fusion. I was very disappointed in this app, as it was a big factor in my choosing the 2018 ford fusion energi. Would not recommend. *UPDATE: I called Ford using the number they provided in their reply to my review. I never heard back and I'm still having the same issues. Also, now the app only connects to the car 50% of the time.

Gives some decent bits of info about your vehicle, and the efficiency of your driving, but it's rather clunky. Editing the "Go Times" schedule is mildly infuriating as it performs a schedule sync with each individual change, with each sync action taking about 30 seconds. Why not just allow the user to make a series of changes before syncing them all at once instead of making the user wait for each change to sync?

This is one of the most unusable apps I have ever had the displeasure of downloading. Whoever developed it should be ashamed of themselves. It is riddled with design choices that are bafflingly frustrating and nonsensical. It consistently does not work. If it does work, it takes forever to do anything.

I'm using it with a 2015 C-Max Energi. It works now for the most part after replacing the modem. However, I haven't seen a single push up notification from the app. It'd be great to get notified of charging faults or if someone unplugs my car. I thought that was one of the core functionalities.

I like the interface update (12/2019) for the most part but Go time management lost the ability to delete go times (I have to go to the Web MyFord Mobile or in the car) and, more bothersome, the trip planner no longer finds any addresses except businesses in its database. Street address destinations that I used before the update no longer produce results, not even my own home. I have resorted to doing planning in the car, which still works. The web site doesn't have the planner.

Absolute trash app. Doesn't even find my car via VIN so it can't connect. Not going to bother jumping through hoops to try and get it to work. Something that is meant to make your driving and update experience easier should at least work and be able to find you car, when the Ford Pass app finds it no problem. For needs to just remove this trash app and put everything through ford pass.

My ford mobile works. So I have a suggestion. Please reinstate ford mobile for vehicles that aren't new. This app worked flawlessly. Ford mass doesn't work. Tried it and lots of others have problems after resetting like me 4 times and nothing working. It registers but doesn't show me lock, remote start or charge. Please fix this my car is a 2016 fusion energi.

This update caused the app not to load after the Ford logo on a Galaxy Samsung android phone. App worked before the October 8th. Ford has not fixed problem after all info sent to them. They are saying working on it. can access using desktop computers. August 30 2021 app stopped working again, white screen with Myford logo only doesn't go any further. All other apps still work. Please find a fix :-) Aah maintenance issue only.. working I thought this app was iffy, Fordpass doesn't even activate.

It works okay for me on a 2018 Fusion Energi. I bought the car used and everything reset and linked up as advertised. I wish it would show my average mpg over a month or a tank, or a selectable date range rather than just one trip at a time. Or better yet my wife driving versus when I drive. That would be a good competitive bit of data to view! To me that would be better than comparing to everyone in a 4 state area...

This app completely shut my phone Bluetooth connection to my Ford sync 3 to where it wouldn't even register my phone as a possible Bluetooth device to connect to. I couldn't sync it for a whole 48 hours before I called MetroPCS and asked them if there was something wrong with my signal or anything remotely close that they could walk you through to fix it. Finally they said this app is a third-party one would shut off the connection. Do not install this app

Hasn't worked for me since 10/20/2020 When I bought my 2016 Ford Fusion plugin Titanium, I was delighted that it came with an app that let me see when the vehicle was fully charged, closest charging stations etc. But this app has not been able to connect to my vehicle in almost a year. Ford dealership service and tech support never seem to know anything about it or care. I am dissapointed in the follow up by Ford on the function of their app. They should do better by their loyal customers.

Fail. Between the non-working app and the low grade tech when it comes to in car connectivity, I am leaning towards another manufacturer for my next car. The app quit working and updating. Hasn't updated in weeks yet it says it updated yesterday. Not real happy about the money spent for features that can't be used and just the lack of user friendly connectivity and personalization.

Pretty good app. I especially like to ability to switch between "Charge Now" and "Value Charge" for my 2017 C-Max Energi. It would be nice if the communication between the app and the vehicle could be faster; it takes about 10 seconds for each data refresh.

Terrible!! It worked for one year then last year I was barely able to use it. The app screen flashed constantly and now it informs me that my car has migrated to 4G so I can no longer use this!! I took my car in to the dealership, bought a new modem for over $300, was told another $30 + to install and the mechanic couldn't make it work! Said that my car was not yet ready for a new modem. Today the message on the app that my car migrated and can no longer use this app. Ford, what is going on?!!!

Decommissioned? The app was slow and not intuitive, but now doesn't work at all, only says it has been decommissioned. I now have no way to check on the battery or lock/unlock doors remotely. Guess I'll have to trade Ford for Toyota.

When I set the go times, it sets it for next week. Only temporary fixes itself when i do a master reset for the app and sync system. It seems like this problem began when I updated myfordmobile app. Recently has the modem replaced by ford dealer over a month ago, and it was working great then. Somehow I still call myfordmobile tech support and they still tell me my modem is a 2.5g modem, which is incorrect. How can they update their records? I have been to the dealer multiple times.

App was good and now all of a sudden, won't remote start the car. Car is a 2019 so still under the free Ford Pass features. What is up with the app. Personally, why they have to have 2 separate apps for plug in hybrids (I can't add my car to my FordPass garage) is ridiculous! Fix the app so I can use the remote start feature.

It's really incredible just how bad this app is. The app just got updated, but don't be fooled, it looks (marginally) better but performs about as poorly as it did before. Units are still stuck in metric (despite having the right value in miles...) and everything takes forever to accomplish. The app doesn't even update properly when it opens, so it will say something like, "Updated 5 minutes ago," when it actually updated hours ago.

Bought a 2016 Fusion Energi and this was one of the features I was excited about. Sadly, it never worked. I never get a confirmation notification after adding the vehicle. I have had the modem replaced as well as the sync module and still nothing. Fix it please.

Doesnt function at all. Its a horrible app. I've tried several times to start my car or lock/unlock and after taking forever, it ends up failing. How can u guys release an app without making sure it works?? Improve your damn development team! How can you even release an app without even testing it properly?? Update to review: downloaded the app after months and I wish there was a red star rating because the app hasn't changed and is still one of the most useless apps. Fire your dev team!!

If you think in MPG, Don't Upgrade! Milage is only reported in L/Km New interface includes NOTHING NEW and only a few "buttons" have moved. Charging and GO Times are now behind a button at upper right of Home screen. Nothing is new behind that button, but at least it's on the home screen.

This latest update is a complete failure. I can't successfully sync with my car, ever. Yet the app says the status was updated days or hours ago. I can't remote unlock, start, or set go times. What is the point of releasing this garbage, if it doesn't work?
