It does not work 85% of times. I can access my account from desktop FP website, everything is fine, but the app on the phone just keeps turning and turning, it can't settle. I restarted phone many times to no avail. Very frustrating.
I have both the prepaid 1G annual as well as a 100% free 200mb simcard. Basically just downgrade to free basic and pay 1 time 20dollars to keep reserve balance in case you have overages. All the people who complain are idiots who don't read the fine print. Follow the rules and you have unbeatable high speed data service for the price. As far as this app goes unfortunately you have to clear cache and storage and relogin every week or so. Only reason I didn't give 5 starz. Thanks FreedomPop!
I use FreedomPop's free plan and pay as needed. Incoming and outgoing messages and calls recently stopped working, as well as data. But I was able to reach tech support via Twitter and it was resolved in less than 24 hours. Much appreciated!
i see alot of people giving negative feedback because of freedompops phone and text service. i only have the free 200mb data plan and i pay $5.95 a month to roll over my data each month 500mb a month cap and 20gb cap total. i use text now for texting and phone calls. i also use freedom pop as a secondary device. but i have been very happy with the data plan. i'm giving 3 stars on this review because there tech support doesn't exsist. iv'e never talked to a human from freedom pop. reinstall to fix
Update 2021-4-23: After update and erase cache still staking in "accessing device" animation. So, I can't enter or do anything with this App. What else can I Do? 2021-1-13: Crashes at opening the app while the introduction logo appears. in Pixel 2 standard Android 10.
Can't access my billing account and there are problems where I was charged on April 7th three times as much as I usually paid and then on the 12th of April they tried to charge my account again that second transaction was declined they cut my service for none payment even though they got more than they should. Can't get any response not by phone or text message.
I've been unable to use my service for almost a month. i cant access support through app because it hangs on "accessing your device". the website won't let me use it for support because im not VIP. i can't message them on Facebook anymore because it says "this person is unavailable" any time i try. was a great service but got progressively worse...
its a terrible program for me, maybe the app is good butbi can never make a call when needing to. have to troubleshoot all kinds of things before getting it to work. ifbyoubdont use the service they charge my card anyways. i chose the free program because i hardley use this phone, they still charge me claiming data was used. beware before you buy, ask lots of questions first.
the "upgrade" has eliminated the ability to send multimedia sms messages. text works, phone works, but can't text a picture. fix this before i decide to go back to boost Mobile.
Updates dont. My phone wont ring, ergo, FP takes me back in a circle to 'update'. Huge inconveniences when ease & reliability aren't available to keep business running smoothly.
Sigh. This worked fine until the recent update. Now it said it can't connect. The irony is that Freedompop worked really well when it was free. Now there are $5 in fees each month, and I have more trouble than I ever did before.
I'm paying for this service, so why am i getting very annoying full screen ads when i use it on my phone??!?!? its very annoying!
i have been using FreedomPop for over a year now. twn bucks a month and it is on sprint. it seems to be a resourc pig though. but i suppose the important part is that i do get those many robo calls with efficient annoyance. i did not see the convenient block this number button like the sixty a month phone.
What is going on? it just sets a buffers and says device selection and then not available at this time time please fix. i cannot look at my data i cannot look at my plan . i have reset several times
When my FreedomPop app did not work, I uninstalled it. I tried to reinstall it from Google play store the only option "download" did not work. Used my backup to reinstall and it works again
Got tablet from HSN with free internet/sim, several months the service was not used. Now for 8 months I've been contacting Fpop about this problem. I get messges like my phone can't connect. Remind you I have a tablet. Once I spoke to a person he told me to put in a phone.
They are incompetent. Like many others here, I had spinning circle at "DEVICE SELECTION" followed by "Unable to connect". I contacted their support and they replied "oh we discontinued this app".... whatta hell?? The first thing you should do is REMOVE IT from PLAY store !!
The freedom pop free plan to me is too unreliable I suggest going to the freedom pop premium plus to get the Sprint upgrade in network it's still has a few glitches but a whole lot better then the free plan.
Just look at the rating people! When are we going to learn, "you get what you pay for". This entire platform is set up to take your money one way or another. If you thought it sounded too good to be true it's because it is. It's not worth the frustration. Save your money & time. There's a reason they have to offer this for free.
When I try to open this app it locks my phone then a little window says DEVICE SELECTION. The whirling circle never stops. Yes I have a freedom pop acct but cant see it or manage it.
This is a huge rip off they keep charging u for free service and keep charging your credit card. You cannot call them without paying additional money. Do not use this service.
was writing fine but now when I try to view how much data and stuff I have left it just said accessing device and keeps loading and losing and nothing happens I even installed and reinstalled it again still dose the same think this app is Junk
The worst!! Don't do it. Can't make calls or send pics to certain numbers. Trying to port out my number. They won't release it. Such a headache!!
Stay away from this company and stay away from unreal mobile, they both are scams ! Stick with tmobile or cricket or att prepaid. You will be happy you did! These companies are not real wireless companies and you can't even call them either!
This app does not allow me to make or receive calls bcuz FreedomPop has my account blocked due to a prior billing dispute on a DIFFERENT account, DIFFERENT email address and DIFFERENT billing method!!! :(((
Terrible app no support and now just sits there and spins! Meanwhile you are for NO SERVICE.... and being able to use your phone when you need to!!!
Can't access device, so no data to display; impossible to check account status. And this is using 5 bar home wifi.
No longer works droid 8 and latest FP update. Dont bother. I used to find it useful. It just locks/stays at initial screen "accessing device" animation. Remember, this app was just to access your accounts and see how much time and data you've used. It's not the FP app itself.
