MyHeritage - Family Tree

Photo colorization works really well. It's like instant photoshop. However, it could be better. When I tried it, it only colorized the face and left the clothes and background untouched. Photo repair and enhancement is good too but needs improvement as well. It seems that the focus is on the face. Clothes and background had little to no improvement. At least that's what it seems to me. The animation looks a bit off in some angles but still awesome! Overall all, great app.

After a problem with my subscription, I contacted support on a Friday and by Monday morning my problem was resolved (and I was compensated for the time that I was not able to access my subscription). Great customer support, thank you. I haven't had time to use the app much, as I prefer my searches on a larger, PC screen, but I really like the photo tool. I will change my review later if I have any problems.

Downloaded this for the nostalgia animation. Got to play with it a bit then bam "start 14 day trial" £86.99 a year after that. I'm not interested in the rest of the app and the animations ranged from spooky to really lacking in realism, but I didn't get to experience them all before the trail nag. Shame really I may have paid a flat fee if I liked it but an annual subscription for one feature is not for me.

Was finding family members that were not related but mixing them in with legit ones, creating a lot more work to figure out what was legit or not. Needed a subscription to have better tools to continue down that rabbit hole but after seeing a lot of comments saying that subscriptions are very hard to cancel, I decided it wasn't worth it. Company comments back that they always send notice in advance before renewing but there are a lot of commentors saying that wasn't the case.

Great if subscription was allowed. I cannot afford to spend £150 in 1 go to find my family or colour photos which is what I really need it for. Its the only app i have found that has the features I need and there has been a limit added unfortunately so now cannot complete my work. If subscription is able to be paid monthly then its 50 stars out of 5 but unfortunately I have to pay for 1 year when a subscription would allow me to pay for what I need then come back when I need it again

Glitchy and offers too significant a drop off in service from the website. Glitch examples include inaccessible discoveries or indeterminate loading when clicking a discovery. Drop off in service includes discoveries that can only be seen and accessed via the website (do not appear in app)

Awful. I downloaded it for the face animations but it only lets you have 4 face videos? Not only that but when you're selecting what face animation you want it doesn't tell you what it is. Also the heads move way too much, looking around too much.

LOVE THE NEW FEATURES, BUT... It would be nice if you added different voices (or allowed the user to do their own voiceovers) to the new LiveStory feature. The voices are completely unrealistic for the MAJORITY of people using your site. THANK YOU AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

I am astounded by the number of ancestors there are on my father's side of the family and am yet to investigate the maternal side. The software is a fairly intuitive but occasionally I miss the notification to transfer information found such as photographs. I do wonder how this app compares to those from organisations offering similar services.

$144.99 🇦🇺 a year what the? I uploaded random test pics and after like the 4th one I was hit for a payment. I won't use any other services so if the animation part was a stand alone app and service at a reasonable price I would buy it, but $144.99 for a year is kinda absurd.

I think paying to have your DNA done should be enough to get all the perks in the app, but nope you got to pay for everything. I've seen all the other horrible reviews and I'm definitely not paying for any of their subscriptions. They couldn't even do my family tree and tell me who my great grandparents are. I'm not impressed!

I thought this would help me find information about my family that I didn't know. Instead it asks me for information I ALREADY KNOW and nothing more. Jesus Christ I can do more with Google and guess work, only Google searches are free! I can't even add research results to my tree. Absolutely f-ing useless!

My wife is using it to put together her family tree. She says it is really easier to use than Ancestry. She loves the fact she can find and add photos an restore them also. She also is using Find a Grave. It saves time instead of going to the Libraries an going to the Cemeterys.

Great easy site to use and great customer service when help is needed. Since doing a DNA test I found one paternal grandfather I never knew of and one maternal great grand father. Has certainly been interesting journey. Wasn't too sure what I was going to find and it has been very interesting.

So far I'm very disappointed, especially in regards to being able to purchase their DNA info. You would think since it's on the Google market you could upgrade by using your Google account instead of giving yet another person your credit card info. Until this issue alone is fixed I cannot give a different review, because I can't use the app. They do NOT allow you to pay for DNA through Google account, only their much more expensive subscription. You tell them that they don't return your email.

Animations are not even remotely realistic. Distortions everywhere. I uploaded my own photos to test it, high resolution quality photos AMD after Animation I looked like an alien because ai does not good a good job at all

Can be a bit vague and it's easy to follow the wrong lineage , sometimes it is reliant on other people's family searches but on the whole it's a helpful tool as long as you double check all your facts .

I like using this app for my family tree and I like how it matches me with others who I may be related to. Being able to save pictures and audio is also a huge plus. However there's a limit to how many you can do for free and the "yearly subscriptions" are far too much in my opinion.

Quite a remarkable watching the colouring! I like it! I have downgraded it from 5 stars because when I try to add a fact there is always an error message telling me that something went wrong. Also I rarely get the option to instantly save records to an ancestor.

Unknown error keeping me from using this app I just downloaded. Issue has been fixed. Every4hing has been great thus far, just waiting for my results.

I will not be buying after 14 days . I only want this APP for photos . It doesn't even work half the time . Error all the time "something went wrong" very frustrating.

I have the complete plan and i can see My heritage has some "instant discoveries" to add to my tree but yet, I can only add ONE and then have to wait days until the app let me add only one more and so on. This is ridiculous.

I wasn't really sure what to expect, but the updates on the progress kept the anxiety of wanting to know that more eager. Mine turned out I was just basically English 79% and all bets were lost with friends who thought otherwise. Disappointed? I thought I'd be more of a mutt lol

Very good and user friendly with different features like coloring old photos and searching in data base the only downside is not all things is free if you want the full pack

Highly recommended. Simple, helpful and intuitive at all levels. Encourages subscribers to increase their involvement and enjoy the search.

This app its too expensive for its use. €94 Euros its too much. You got one star, because there was not email asking me do I want to stop the trial period or I like the experience, and continie for one more year.

Automatically charge for a subscription I never purchased. I was automatically charged 299.00 for a subscription I never purchased previously. I have made numerous attempts to get this corrected but to no avail. As of present, I'm going to have to contact an attorney. Trying to cancel this is apparently a super secret.

This app is confusing and frastrating. I have the MyHeritage Family Tree Builder on PC which I like. My expectations with this app were:- - Seamless full access to all saved info from both Windows and Android devices. - Fairly similar UI & functionality on both devices Instead:- - Android app is different from Windows App in name, UI, & functionality - Difficulty accessing web saved data, site timing out - Couldn't get equivalent Windows functionality & experience - Mid session log-outs & & &
