Freezing and crashing. App constantly freezes and crashes making it virtually unusable. When I asked at customer service if they could just print me a card for the reminder of my 31 day pass they said no. I never had these issues using LA's mass transit system. This is one of the worst transit experiences I have ever had . Make a reliable or app or offer options so that people can actually use your services reliable and your notoriously low ridership rates may go up.
One thing that can be said for JTA: they are consistent. Consistently WRONG. The arrival/departure times vary by an average of eight minutes from the ACTUAL arrival/departure times. Do yourself a favor and use the texting feature using the bus stop number. Also, if you don't have a mask, don't worry. The buses are WAY overcrowded at times, there's no POSSIBLE way to social distance, and if you're a pair of snot-covered junkies with a 200 lbs Pitt Bill, and no cash, no problem.
App is terrible. I tried to activate it to by a pass on my replacement phone and it locked me out of my account...wouldn't be so bad if customer service was open on sunday. Also, the app seems to lock to one phone number. Lose that and you're apparently completely out of luck. This app and JTA service needs major improvements.
Its crazy how many card issues people have had with this app and total lack of responses from JTA. In addition to the fact that it has not been updated since october 2018, i dont understand why JTA would choose to encourage more people to use it as they up fare amounts on Sept 30. I will not put my card info in your hands as of today. But, a simple update would be adding the pdf files of each route. Or perhaps a static map with all the routes and a "you are here" marker
JTA as a company is terrible, the employees never want to actually help the riders of this bus system. I am constantly late to work because of how incredibly unreliable the buses are. I already lost a job because of this bus system and I mite lose another, if there was any other options besides JTA, I wouldn't use the buses at all. This app is basically as unreliable as the buses in this city, it doesn't always work the way its supposed to, overall JTA and this app are terrible.
This app will not update when JTA decides to cancel a specific bus on a specific route. For example, if you open the app to look for the next available bus to get you home and it says there will be a 6pm and a 7pm bus and your standing at your stop at 5:45 pm. Do not, and I mean do not, just assume that 6pm bus is arriving. They cancel specific buses all the time and at random. JTA does not have the technical support or the willingness or both to properly update you with this app.
Although the countdown number is visible, it takes up 90% of screen, QR code is now minimized and stays at bottom of the screen and I can't scan it. At instruction of customer support, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but same thing.
This is TERRIBLE! It won't show the QR code large enough to actually scan it once on the bus. It is then up to the driver whether or not to allow me on. If they decide not to, then that ticket is done, I'd have to buy and use another one for the next bus.Buses are my main transportation to and from work.
New phone since my last review. I can now purchase tickets however the phone reader will not read my ticket. I like the convenience of the app... But this issue of not reading my ticket is new and started with the increased fare. Is anyone else having this issue? Where is your tech support?
This app does not know the differences between wifi and standard data usage. Im still trying to access the wifi and data use.
I have been using this app for over a year and have never had a problem until yesterday I purchase to one day passes on this app and the app took my money but never applied my bus passes now the whole app itself is not letting me get in someone needs to fix this immediately because this inconvenience just stopped me from go getting my daughter now I have a whole extra late fee to pay that I can't even freaking pay because y'all decided to take my money and not give me my bus pass
There is no way to know which direction the bus is traveling, which increases the risk of going the wrong way and having to pay AGAIN. Which is stupid also. NOT a good app especially if you are new to the area.
Brought a weekly pass and now i cant get to it!! At first it was fun and easy. Now it run slow and takes forever to load..Its very stressful!!
I tried to create an account but, the app wouldn't let me because my new phone number, is some one else's old number, for an old account, and there is no way to change, edit, or up date it.
This is third time this app has deleted my records of monthly pass purchased it works about 4 days then says thier are no unused passes and I checked for email confirmation got one from all other places but not jta you call them they are rude and talk to you like your stupid better off get the card from station mad!
While the app used to be okay at best it refuses to accept my card as payment making it useless. This has been issue for several months with no resolution.
apperantly this app randomly locks people out with no cause. i lost my phone and got another now cant log in. talking to customer service was not any help. not user friendly as of late
The app does not give accurate times when the bus is supposed to arrive. However, Next Bus App is right on time. The only thing this app is good for is to buy online tickets.
usually works great But today i tried and it charged me for four passes. i was allowed to ride but the app won't adjust. i updated it too and no luck Now what??
Awful. Tried 4 times to buy tickets. Kept send me back to the add to cart. Could not change number of tickets wanted.
Informative....even though Route changes have made travel harder.

Can never get it to connect. JTA bus drivers get pushed when you have to wait. Called Cust Svc they don't care they just tell you whatever to get you off the phone.
Google Maps is better, more user friendly and just as accurate.
It's a great app and very informative and was able to purchase bus tickets right off my phone
JTA has got a long way to go before Jacksonville can truly consider itself metropolitan, rather than a cluster of towns like it is now
I dont know if its easy to use because it crashes every time i try to use it. Absolutely terrible!! And i was happy BECAUSE it allows you to just put where you are and where you are going but the website wants you to choose which way direction your headed in. If I had all the answers I wouldn't need to plan the trip!!
