This was a great application until now. Now it won't launch. It is complaining with "can't run without requested permissions". It has full access and is not listing what permission is doesn't have. I guess it is time to move to network cell info.

login? for what? try out the app? at least give me a guest login, then i can choose if i want to use the app and give you my details... isnt that how it supposed to work?

Unfortunately it won't go past permissions war king anymore. Try it. The more users the better the map. I would recommend caching data to file though. If phone dies or is reset scans are lost if they are waiting for Wi-Fi upload. Good work. This is a wonderful app. The more contributors the better. Cricket techies try it out so we can get a better Arizona map. :)

I travel to rual areas where roaming costs get loony. Lets me know where to make my calls before I get to these areas. Wonderful concept that users provide the data. Simply great!

Hey guys that are on Google Project Fi. This is a great app to use with service if you are not sure if an particular area has coverage with T-Mobile or Sprint. It also has other carriers and coverage for those as well. Hive it a try.

As best I can tell, this app aggregates MetroPCS data onto the Verizon map (MetroPCS uses the T-mobile network)

Chr. K. Jul 15, 2016

But the coverage map doesn't seem to update even days after providing new data

Very good app,but why is there no coverage overlay for EE?

MMC 1st place (pro version fewer clicks to refresh GPS). CellMapper 2nd. Sensorly & OpenSignal tied 3rd, Root Metrics 4th and getting worse, now owned by Verizon. We should use all of them at the same time to create evidence carriers can't ignore. Each collects different data needed to see network problems.

App says I'm on the wrong carrier, switching to the correct carrier has no data..

Requires valid email address to execute app. Unacceptable. Uninstalling after publishing this review.

Useless, inaccurate and unreliable

I'll give 5stars if it support dual sim (show all signal strength+cellid), especially from asus zenfone.

Tim. P. Jun 7, 2015

Unable to switch carrier map permanently. Always switches back to Rogers.

It needs more options and a new design

Worst app i have ever seen. Keeps crashing whenever i click on any option like map or compare or speedtest. Don't waste your time and money in downloading this app.

A. G. u. Jan 2, 2015

Garbage, won't do a speed test. Un install

Tapping any of the buttons just returned to the opening tips screen.

I have not used this App enough to truly give a useful review; however, I do feel that it is worth pointing out the direct responses and timely manner in those responses, by the very engineers who have provided this App, free of charge! That shows me dedication to their product, and caring about what bugs or flaws may have been overlooked, which it appears evident that these true software loyalists want to put out a quality piece of technology, as well as please as many of us users who often take 4 granted!

Was and still is a useful tool. Last few updates have made a good thing bad and this last one is the pits. Last few times I noticed the app just does not stop running. Could live with this and forced shut down in app manager. Now you really screwed it up by removing the engineering feature. This is needed to let the network operator know which Cell in having issues with. Also when launching new sites to make sure that is the one in testing. Email me and I'll re-install and update you accordingly

The app hardly worked and kept crashing

Mat. J. Aug 19, 2014

I really need to view the map with satellite filter as I'm using the app in remote areas.

Kev. M. Jun 25, 2014

I like it and is useful to me. One suggestion I would make is to ONLY record instances where there is no coverage and or very low. Signal fluctuations is a problem for all carries in certain areas. This does help identify times of no service but a more specific capture of these instances would be more useful.

Hey guys have you ever tried the app? Good, battery drained out fast

ars. s. Feb 18, 2014

U get to know wats the status of your service provider

Arm. Apr 1, 2014

How dumb is that! Uninstalling!

Bri. G. Feb 23, 2014

I love it

When someone hangs up first the APP thinks its a dropped call on My Nexus 5 and on T-Mobile MyTouch Q This is one of the best single mapper app that I used. The only problem I had is that it says the call was dropped when it wasn't, but that was a few times.
