As almost everyone already mentioned: Face Scan, the main feature of this app, doesn't work at all! Most of the times, the camera stretches everything out and makes it impossible to scan your face. If you manage to scan and don't have any errors left in the app you can bet on your console telling you there's something wrong with the scan. Unbelievable! If there is a worst game of the year award, this app should be nominated at the very least!

It took me more than a dozen attempts to finally do the face scan without getting an error code. When I tried to upload the data in myplayer, I got an error code that prompted me to restart the whole process. This app is garbage and a complete waste of time and space on your phone. It's pathetic to see this app has hardly changed over the past 3 years.

Doesn't work Edit: Wow, so despite my extremely vague and unhelpful review, their support team actually reached out and attempted to resolve the issue. They get a star back for that. However, my frustrations with this app continue. I'm not having trouble with the black screen at login, as the developer thought might be the case (if you are, see below; I'll paste the developer's suggestion). Rather, I cannot get the face scan to work -- it just doesn't recognize my face. I've tried different lighting levels and colors but have had no luck. At this point, it's not worth the effort -- I've already made my new MyPlayer from scratch anyways. It would've been cool to use a face scan... maybe next year! Developer suggestion regarding black screen at launch: * Swipe from the app to bring up the system bar. * Tap on the apps menu. This should put the app in the background. * When you see the game in the frequently launched carousel, tap it. * The game should now start normally.

Been trying to capture my face recognition since 2k18, this is a terrible app, the camera looks stretched, no matter how many times I reset the whole thing over and over again, downloaded in my girl's phone and it worked even worst, delaying the picture when making the capture. So many things that make this seem impossible just makes the whole thing not worth it. They should fix all the bugs and make the app work for once !

among the worst apps I've ever used. I just downloaded it to use the face scan, and even that didn't work right. seemed to work at first, then told me errors were found in the scan and had me retry. my screen turned off while I was rescanning - apparently they don't know how to tell android to keep the screen on. the app couldn't handle that, crashed, and then just told me I don't have a recognizable face on repeat attempts. the menus are uglier than my face, too. unnecessary, forced tutorial.

Worst app I have ever used. Concept is good, execution is very poor. Plagued with network issues, have not yet succeeded with the face scan after 15 or so attempts; app takes the user straight to some collector card game tutorial rather than setting up the account and giving user options of what they want to do. Connectivity to camera appears buggy - most attempts leave the image stretched horizontally. If I could give a "0" stars, I would. As a tester, I am offended the app went live.

Horrific app. What a downgrade from 2k19. I've tried scanning my face 40 times and still a no go. For whatever reason the app seems to not see a face or it stretches the face and will not work. I have to go back and forth from scan to main screen several times before it will show properly once and when it does it scans, asks for some other slower scans and boom back to stretched face. Start over and over with no results. Garbage! Its 2019 get your app together 2k this is absurd.

Hey guys that are struggling still with the face scan try using it in the bathroom with sufficient lighting. Ensure your background is really light compared to your complexion. I put my phone up against the wall so that my phone didn't move and it worked every time. It shouldn't be this difficult but apparently it is but this way has worked every time for me. Hope that helps.

App is broken, Face scan camera is stretched 90% of the time. Constantly have to close and re-open until it works, when the camera finally works there are errors half of the time. When it finally succeeds results are terrible, tried hundreds of times for a good face scan, it just isn't possible. Don't waste your time, phone is pixel 2 xl. My camera isn't the issue.

If downloading for the scan don't bother. Garbage app, takes way too long for error after error only to finally get it to be ready to upload and then there's an error on the Xbox side. Had to give up because two separate roommates were done wasting their time holding my phone for the pictures over and over. just have it make a bad guess or something. Anything that would be better than slogging through the process over and over to be told to start over

Besides being outdated the app is also poorly maintained: it stopped working with the recent update. It loads initially, but once it passes NBA teams logos, screen turns black for about a minute and then finally "Downloading" status appears which got stuck at 0%. App reinstall and phone reboot didn't help. After sometime of non progress it throws an empty window (error) with two options: "retry" and "report" - no matter what you click you end up in a vicious loop. QA team is doing a shifty job.

If you have a galaxy 10+ you probably just getting a black screen. Here's how I got it to work for me. Open the App and you'll probably just get the black screen. While on that black screen, turn off your phone screen with the power botton on the right of the phone. Then turn your screen back on and the App should start. It works on my phone every time. This app is still trash though

Absolute garbage. Doesn't function correctly a lot of the time, forced tutorial for the card game thing that is also trash, and the damn face scan (only damn reason to download this miserable app) doesn't work at all! Can't detect the face at all. 2K, fix this. Please. Y'all make pretty good games, this is below your level. These complaints shouldn't have existed to begin with.

Downloaded for facescan. It stretched my face out on the camera. I tried going back and repressing the face select option, and after a few tries it fixes the aspect ratio, but every fixed aspect ratio try always confuses the app and it can't find the faces. It only finds the faces stretched out. And the faces are then stretched out on the game. Morons developed this app.

Garbage. Straight garbage. Every year he's apps are filled with trash. All we want is the face scan feature. It takes multiple tries every year to experience what supposedly everyone else is having a great time experiencing. I have the best mobile camera software in my Google Pixel 3 XL and it won't even display my face correctly during the initial scan. Everything is stretched out from top to bottom making it impossible to even fill the face shaped window. Garbage. Straight garbage.

The face scan is HORRIFIC at best. Needs to have a option to choose the outline for people faces. It NEVER is able to scan your face properly. By time you do backflips, flick the lights on and off, break your mirror AND your phone then it will barely upload. And if you dont get a stupid error when uploading to your system then you'll have a 15% chance of the scan coming through and you looking like a absolute fool. Leaving you to have to start the process all over again. Note 10+.

Face scan tips: -Do it outside in the shade with natural lighting -If it fails you can just rescan the photos that failed, you don't need to do them all again! I'm saying that the app is really buggy, the camera sometimes goes into fish eye lens for no reason. It also shows a black screen on open so I had to lock and unlock my phone to get it to load.

Is there a another way to face scan, or maybe this app works better with iPhone because (I have Gallexy S9) I have had problems before with face scans on previous games but this by far is the worse. I tried different lighting, a tripod, even closing and reopening the app. The face still isn't right. I think it's because of the app, and it also stretch the picture vertically sometimes.

The worst designed app I've ever downloaded. I only wanted to scan my face but accidentally clicked on the card game mode and couldn't leave because the back button is only programmed to pause the game. Resetting and clearing the cache did not let me go back to the main menu. It would have been quicker to uninstall and reinstall the game than to get through the tutorial. I decided not to reinstall it.

Fun... for 5mins until the errors start. The biggest issue is the app completely crashing my phone & forcing a restart. This has happened twice now and has absolutely blitzed my battery life for no apparent reason. Both times it has been the only app open on my phone & the CPU speeds are running high but nothing worrying. For added clarification, I am using the latest Android version

Constantly getting "Waiting on Network" messages that lead to me getting a bogus "error: 4-0" messages and I have to close out the entire app and restart it, and lose any progress I had. I have unlocked 4 Legends and all 4 times I have been given a "Waiting on Network" and "error: 4-0" even if I am hardwired into the modem. These errors are 100% on 2K, and have nothing to do with my connection. They will lie and say it is my fault as usual. Update: Now the App doesnt load 99% of the time.

This really takes the phras that if something seems too good to be true it probably is to the next level. Whenever I take my photos it says there was an error that occurred so I retake them like three times. Once it does finally work and I upload them I go on to my NBA 2K 20 game and it says scanning your unique face once it gets to 100% it says there was an issue with your scan please start again and pay close attention to the instructions on the app. I can't tell you how many times I've tried

Just the worst, took me 5 attempts to get it working and on uploading the scan it went completely insane. Now I have not been able to use the app anymore because I always hit the waiting for network screen. Just have NOT been able to use the app (my WiFi is of course all good). Just wow, simply amazed by how bad this is. You can keep you scan thing I don't really care at this point

I had originally given a 2 star but after a back and forth with support it's a 1 star. I came to them with multiple issues and their response was try again and "that appears to be a visual error that should not impact gameplay." How can a visual error on a VIDEO game not impact the gameplay? For those wondering the error was that none of my player images loaded in which means all the players look identical with different numbers next to them.

This app is hot garbage. Every time I try to fill information into a field, it allows me to type one character, and then exits the field. Why do I have to go through an entire unskippable demo, just so I can try and access the face-scan, which doesnt work anyway, considering the app can't connect to the EA servers? This app is bad, and the creators should feel bad for releasing it.

The most finicky camera upload. Using natural light outside, the app takes forever to capture the photos. Finally after 13 attempts all of the photos are uploaded and you receive an error on the console and have to rescan your face again! You should be able to reuse your face scan from 2k19 if you finally got a correct one... EA Sports makes an inferior NBA game but their face scan is a lot less annoying and actually works upon the first try!

The app doesn't work. Trying to connect to my console and it doesn't go through, says I have successfully logged in but it doesn't go anywhere or do anything. I've closed and reopened the app multiple times. And I wanna do is scan my face and earn some extra VC on the app. It's 2020 and your 2018 worked better..
