"Chatbox" format not very user friendly. I would much rather just have a form I can fill out. There was an error where my text wasn't showing in a box and when I misspelled my name because I didn't see it register it I had to start over to correct it. Seems about right for the government to make you use a poorly designed app when the easier and cheaper solution would be just an online form.

Absolutely useless. This useless app tells me to "contact the DMV or schedule an appointment." I call and their phone system is broken. The website location finder is broken. Manually enter the location to set an appointment and EVERY location says "there are no days available for an appointment at this location." Yet you're supposed to get an appointment in order to get or renew a license or ID. So it's all literally useless.

It great and works! It's very efficient and much better than the website. Idk why other reviews are bad. This was painless and super easy, I'm glad I found it. I was able to renew my tags withing 10 minutes or less. I was able to save my info and pick out a different license plate design too, how fun!

Well, while it can be convenient, it is not kept updated. Last year my car wasn't listed, had to call to get that fixed, then this year it isn't listed. On top of that, I renewed my camper registration and have the 2022 sticker, but the app says I still need to renew it.

Constantly crashes, can't get anything done. I might save more time and risk by going in person and standing in line. Absolutely useless.

How is a text message format easier than an application? The whole thing makes it seem as though you can't update your address on the app for your license renewal, but you can.....like.... The first blurb about "is your address the same? No? Then you cant continue." Is misleading to say the least.

This is the biggest waste of my time. It would be so much faster and easier if I could just fill out a form and pay my registration. I don't know why someone decided it would be a better experience if it tried to make it feel like I was texting my bestie. This app is so cringe.

The NCDMV app was extreamly simple to navagate through. Nothing was confusing or hard to understand. This app is very direct to the point basically very blunt. It is one of the simplest apps I've ever used. Who would of thought the DMV would have such an easy & direct app because from what I remember no one enjoyed going to the DMV but now simple & quick.

I really like it; it saved me a lot of time, and gas money. Now i have all my vehicles listed, all i have to do is select which one i am paying for and zoom away with the chat bot. Also, i find it easier to just pull up the app at tax time and print all my receipts. its a win-win.

Skirt tedious. When it gets to certain points and appears to stay there, there is no clear indicators, or directions on what you missed or where you need to go. Ok. Could be better.

Chat bot interface. Buggier than what it replaces. Days long server maintenance during which you absolutely cannot pay. $3 fee. Slower than the old site's simple form. Good times at ncDMV. I really hope PayIt doesn't infect any more states.

Best way to beat a line and waiting! I also like the reminder email in case you forget. The convience fee is a bit much,$3. I think it is wrong to take an extra amt for something you have to do by law IMHO.

First, I would have preferred to download this to my computer rather than to my cell phone, but was unable to do that. Then I had to enter my tag number about 20 times before it would accept it although the tag is the same one as last year. Finally, it was never clear that it had acknowledged my credit card payment. Not sure where the receipt is.

The app has seemingly up to 16 possible error messages but has nowhere to tell you what that is. Google has people asking what in the world different error messages are but not a single place that tells you

I am extremely suspicious of this app at this time. Downloaded to register to vote. Appeared to work at first. Checked my registration later through a third party source, and what do you know, I'm not registered. Go back into the app to register again, and it crashes upon selecting voter registration, no matter how many times i restart and try again. Highly suspicious. Dare i say voter suppression?

Used app to pay for two vehicles' registration renewal. Pretty simple, but no receipt given that can be downloaded. No pdf file, nothing. No confirmation number. The only evidence I have is held by them. Bad way to do business.

Creates more frustration than a visit to the DMV. I tried to renew my registration and it says that my title number doesn't exist. I used the number on the renewal notice and it's the same number on my actual title. I tried calling and couldn't get a human. I tried emailing and haven't gotten a response.

Have done 3 vehicle registration renwals & 1 drivers license renewal in last 4 months w/o any problems. Don't understand peoples issues. 1 note is that you need to wait atleast 1 business day (preferably 2-3) to renew registration after passing inspection. If you try to do it same day it will very likely kick it out what I was told. Have never had any problems in previous year(s) either.

Useless. Absolutely useless. Always a "problem with the registration". No FAQ that doesn't lead back to calling the DMV which is what we're all trying to avoid by using the app in the first place. Plan ahead and just go to the DMV instead.

It government, but it is actually easy to navigate, easy to process transactions. will save you time and money by checking this out before driving to any office

Registration renewal, they never work for this app. Forces you to call. No point in downloading unless you want a application that will simply redirect you to the phone number. You could put in your license tag number all 6 different ways (xmp-1234, XMP-1234, Xmp-1234, xmp1234, XMP1234, Xmp1234) with the last 5 of your title number and they will all comeback as not found

This app keeps crashing and never gets very far in progress. Never seen anything like it.

Neither website nor app was able to procees my Registration Renewal. Keeps telling me something went wrong. Eventually it says that it adds the charges to the cart but it is not there. {Sigh}

Honestly made everything so easy. In 5 minutes I renewed my registration and updated my address all in 1 screen. Having a digital copy of the registration is nice cause it goes out tomorrow and I'll have proof while I wait for the sticker to come in the mail.

"Unable to verify address" Unable order a duplicate license updating my address even though the address is in Google's database. This app is a waste of time. You're better off waiting 3 hours at the DMV.

Pathetic,I have been trying to get to personalized license plate only to have specialized plate shoved down my throat time and time again.I went to the correct site for both only to have specialty license plate choices.Now I am going to the DMV License office and have everyone in line wait because of the inability to set the website up correctly.They will have to go through my list of choices until one is available because of programmer of this inadequate knowledge site.Again NCDMV., PATHETIC.

Would not process my registration renewal!! Keeps saying something went wrong then says tag and title number don't match and they do. Keep saying the same thing online. Worthless ended up having to go into the tag office.

This app pure tee sucks. Don't believe it, you say? Okay, download, install, and open. Now, try to change your address! It's listed as a sub-option, but is not clickable. Worthless pos as far as I'm concered!

After multiple attempts to renew registration, the chat bot says the license plate number and verification number do not match even though I am entering it exactly from the renewal notice sent to me. App is useless.

Truly broken pile of garbage. Constantly stuck in a loop at checkout same for their equally useless website. And a chat not format really? This is mind numbingly slow and painful to use.
