I love the mynoise website and iphone app, but this version sadly leaves a lot to be desired. As far as I can tell, there's no way to play multiple generators at once, the volume control is difficult, there isn't really a good search function, and there doesn't seem to be any point to favoriting. Worst of all, the app often just glitches and stops playing entirely, resetting all customization. Still 4 stars because the actual sound generators are incredible, but I wish it was implemented better.

I love the website and the project as a whole but this app is so buggy it's basically unusable. Sound will frequently stop playing at random, sometimes individual lines and sometimes the entire soundscape. Adjusting the levels sometimes does nothing. Generators will sometimes switch back to the default soundscape from a custom one. I'm happy to support the creators but the app should not be on the store in this state with expensive in-app purchases.

Recently I've been having a lot of trouble with this app. It's incredibly quiet now for some reason, I have to turn my phone volume all the way up. If I try to turn the individual sounds up using the sliders I get weird feedback in the audio for some reason. And sometimes the sound just...stops? I don't have the timer on but the audio will just turn off randomly until I open the app. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and all that did was delete all my custom sounds 😥

By far the best noise generator app I've ever used. First off, it's free, and has no ads! There's an excellent selection of scenes to choose from, with helpful presets for things like speech blocking. All of the soundscapes are very high quality too. The developers sound like really good people too, and buy carbon offsets for everything that operating the app has caused. Buy the paid version. Support them.

It is extremely hard to download the paid noise files. It randomly allows to download a few and then the tapping does not work until you refresh. It's hard to play downloaded sounds. Some of them won't play until you try to select some animation. The application has not been updated since 2019!!!

After using the app more, I'm a little disappointed. Sometimes noises will disappear (i.e won't be audible after a few seconds of playing), sometimes an buzzing can be heard (not my headphones since I can't hear it on other noise apps). The audio just seems buggy overall. It would be the best noise app by far without these deal breaking issues.

Needs "Playlists" function, and a "Balance" control, especially as many users will have hearing issues. If these features were added, I would certainly buy for all my Android devices.. but at 10 GBP per device, the absence of such basic features. . There is no way of switching the license to a new phone either. EASTER EGG - it can run with another sound app simultaneously. Never known this on Android ! Very useful. Podcast + White noise in background is ace.

I was happy to buy the bundle in addition to e donation I made on the website to support the passionate creators of these phenomenal soundscapes. This app is better than trying to use the website on my phone, but there are still issues with sounds stopping and some crackling. I also miss the website's ability to play multiple generators at once, or to create custom soundscapes/multigens.

Been a big fan of mynoise online. I donate when I can because the different combinations of generators are perfect for studying, relaxing, just having some sound when you're cleaning or doing anything else. But I will echo other reviewers. The android app does feel neglected. While there's a lot of grear functionality, the sound quality's not the best. There's a lot of static, and sometimes it just stops for long enough for me to unlock my phone and then starts up again. Otherwise works fine

I love myNoise and use it on my PC and Android phone. I decided today to send support. I installed the new Android version and downloaded my favorite sound files plus some new ones. The app doesn't indicate when it's finished loading a file. I sit staring in silence at the pause icon not knowing if I should be hearing something or not. Hitting "pause" changes the icon to "play" and freezes it there. I have to select a file twice to get it to play. Trying to be patient but not very happy.

Provides the same basic experience as the website but, as others have mentioned, there are some limitations. There is no global volume control and I don't know if its just me but saving presets doesn't seem to work. The option to save seems to be there, though the implementation is confusing (a hamburger menu button functions like a save/add button?) but it doesnt seem to actually do anything (nothing is added to the lists that appear?). I have to modify the channels every time.

I love this app & website. I often have difficulty sleeping and anxiety. Tried out "Rain Noise", which was free. It's great as I could vary different background sounds and mute those that I don't like. Although it's not magic where I can go to sleep immediately, I feel more relaxed before bedtime and I could fall back asleep quickly after waking up in the middle of the night. I've bought the bundle to support you. Keep up the good work. Edit: it'll be great if this app could "cast" to speakers

Using version 2.2.1 the app is pretty and has been stable for me, and the content is great. That's the good. The bad is that the app is very feature weak. There are two lists of sounds - the ones downloaded and the ones not downloaded. There's a way to save settings for a sound, but no list of those saved custom sounds. There's a way to favorite a sound, but no list of favorite sounds. There are apparently-random icons on the list of downloaded sounds, but they don't change or have meaning.

Wide variety of great quality sounds. On the webpage, I like to open multiple tabs and layer some of the different sounds. I'd like to see a feature that could handle that on the app. Also on the website there is a speech blocker setting that doesn't appear in the app. Want it. It places an icon on my notification bar that I can not get rid of unless I were to completely restart my phone. Probably just a minor nuisance to most people, but it drives my crazy not to be able to clear out my bar.

In a word - phenomenal. No ads of any kind. This app (as well as the website) is well worth downloading and, if you can, supporting. There are a number of free sound generators on the app and dozens more for very cheap. They will continue to play in the background of music, or whatever else you like, and each one is meticulously created with extraordinary fidelity and care. A must have for studying, sleeping, meditating, or just to have in the background when music isn't necessarily desired.

I'm a long time user of the website and this app, but the app has gotten buggy lately. I can't get the noise generators to play unless I press "animate". I can't download more than two or three generators at a time without having to restart the app. And sometimes the generator stops playing altogether and I have to reboot it, again. I love the variety of soundscapes and the customization available, but the app has some usability issues that haven't been fixed for a while.

Highly adjustable white noise generator with variations all free. However, there is a serious bug when used for sleeping or if you're away from the phone because it would simply stop or shut off for no apparent reason about 10% of the time. This means instead of waking up to my alarm, I wake up to the noise that this app was supposed to block out. I can only recommend this if you're using it while awake and near the phone to turn it back on when this happens. Other bugs include sometimes needing to restart the app in order for it to play.

Positive: The noise library, and the ridiculously customisable sounds, are so good that I was more than happy to pay for the full set despite the below. Negative: The app is very buggy. When I open a sound, pressing "play" does nothing. I have to fiddle with the sliders before it boots up. Downloading sounds seems to confuse the poor thing and it usually crashes.

Not intuitive. I paid for the bundle of sounds (€11!) and it's not clear how to download or access them. When I select a noise, it doesn't play. I need to mess around with the equaliser settings to generate any sounds. The app doesn't remember these settings. There is no way to pin most used or favourite sounds. This means o have to scroll through the list each and every time to find the sound (and remember the name). Overall a poorly designed app that is a waste of money.

Love the soundscapes. Personally recommend the website over the app as the app features are rather limited in comparison. My main disappointment is that I can't resume after pausing and leaving the app in the background; I always have to return to the menu, select again and then adjust the levels. Notifications now seem to stop playback too! It's rather irritating and makes use of the app a negative experience, tbh. Maybe we can get an update that addresses this issue?

This app is the only solution I've found that can make my tinnitus bearable. I use white noise around my tinnitus frequency to mask the tinnitus tone. An option for half-octave frequency bands would be better, though, so it could be tailored better to individual conditions. And the app version, compared to the web version, lacks an overall volume control, which is a bit annoying when I use another sound-producing app.

I installed the app hoping it could live up to the phenomenal website (which is a lifesaver!). But unfortunately the app has alot of issues, which is a shame as it would have been very handy to use for when you're outdoors e.g for travelling, at work or school etc.The app continually freezes and doesn't respond when i try moving the sliders. The download feature never works. And there is no way to load any custom presets that you save, so what is the point in having a "save preset" feature?

All the sounds are great but the app itself needs some polishing. The pause feature hardly ever works and sometimes you will get two different sounds playing at once. Sometimes the app will just stop playing altogether after a few minutes. Other times you will need to actually restart your phone to get it to stop playing. Gladly change my rating to a 5 if these bugs are fixed.

Paid for the bundle because I want to support the developer but please fix this app! The audios don't play automatically and refuse to unless you fiddle with it. I'm really sad it doesn't work well. I've loved the desktop version for years but my phone is better for playing relaxation noises. But the audios are still amazing, just like they've always been, and I especially love the odd ones.

Perfect. I bought the pack with all of the sounds. The only thing I would add are play controls at the bottom. Other then that, this is really great. So many options and features. The sounds are calming and relaxing perfect for those of us with anxiety and the tinnitus generator is great too. I could play around with this all day too its just in general very entertaining.
