myRoundPro Golf App

On course yardage with my galaxy watch 4 is all over the place. Takes a long time to get the right distance and the distances keep jumping all over the place. Sometimes shows I have a 400+ yard drive which I don't. My club distances are all messed up. I verified my watch GPS with other apps and it's working fine. When it was myroundpro, the app yardage was way better.

App was working alright but the last update has made it almost unusable again. The screen doesn't come back on once you enter your club and take a swing, and then it crashes when you try to switch back to the app on my galaxy 4 watch. When this app works, it's awesome. I hope they work the bugs out and get it back to working properly. Until then, I guess I'll look for another app for golf.

Update April 2022: New update for a UI overhaul has caused many small bugs which sucks. My original review is below, but at the moment I am not excited to continue using this broken app. Sad. Old review: Awesome awesome awesome app. Completely free and gives strokes gained. Love the ability to enter in all my shots after I'm done with my round instead of needing to enter everything as I play.

UPDATE FEB 2022 Unfortunately after this latest update there are serious problems: There were some minor UI changes which unfortunately make it *worse* than the previous version (example: the course map is now much smaller to make room for a huge hole score below). But critically, the GPS is now completely unreliable. Over the course of 2 rounds, I had kill/restart the app multiple times to get accurate readings, and finally gave up. It wasn't the GPS itself, because when I switched to another app it worked perfectly. I literally cannot use this app any longer, which is sad. FWIW I'm using a Pixel 4a 5G ORIGINAL REVIEW Simply the best, and I've tried them all. I am shocked this does not have better reviews, because for me it is the perfect app. Satellite views or course outlines, your choice. Simple score tracking, or track the exact location and club for every shot. Single player, or multiplayer. Match play, or stroke play. Complete statistics at the end of every round. Draggable pinpoint locations for carry distances. It does absolutely everything I could want (other than track my handicap) and does it for free?! Amazing!

Disclaimer: I don't use the app on course at all, only for the stats component, which could be great but is a bit buggy currently. For example, when I filter my latest round and select the driver distribution, it shows my 10 shots where I hit driver as expected and in the right locations ie right, left fw etc. However it says missed 50% right, when there are only 2 (20%) on the right, and then inversely says missed 20% left when there are 5 balls there (50%). Other times my approach dispersion plot doesn't include results I know are valid and in the app. Kinda makes me not trust it fully. Hopefully TM updates it regularly with the launch of the new service.

App used to be great. You were able to select a club for each shot. Now, it only let's you input the total number of shots.

Was under the impression that I could register shots to keep track of club distances but that feature doesn't seem to be present anymore and if it is now behind the pay wall then that is trash also the watch app used to work but won't connect.

Love the app for my phone but...is it available for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3? I see that is is available for the Wear OS but don't forget about the (not that) older devices! I love the simplicity as opposed to the myroundpro app, which isn't that bad really.

I had over 50 rounds dating back to 2020. After the app update from myroundpro to whatever its named now all my round history data is gone. I spent time logging every shot for what? To have all the data deleted with no notice or ability to stop it? I literally went to play a round today for the first time since November and I was confronted with a new app with login screen and then completely blank data. No clubs no rounds no stats. Why would I ever use it again?

Worked it great until the Wear OS update. Like so many others no longing working. Really disappointed that a simple fix on there end is taking 2 weeks. Update - This was fixed but I have to call into question your development groups attention to detail and your QA process to allow a production app to not function for weeks.

My first time using the NEW app this year and it's worse... It closes and I have to force reopen and the GPS takes forever once you reopen the app... I like the last version better. The update makes the watch app unusable.

Downloaded it to my brand new Samsung phone and I can't even login. Was trying to do the Taylormade thing and subscribe to get my 100 bonus points for loyalty. However, all for not, when I can't even login. I would love to try this app out I am usually an early adopter of tech. But I can't sorry taylormade wish I could write a better review.

Haven't had a chance to use this for a full round yet but would like to make a suggestion. It seems that there is no way to add my own data for wedge play distances. I would really like to be able to define 2 or 3 pitching shots (half, 3/4 shot etc) and enter distances for them with my pitching clubs.

I first installed this app in 2018. All features were available at that time. But along comes my 2022 season and low an behold, greed got the best of TM. Only basic feature now available. Must have paid TM+ account to use the advanced setting. So I deleted my profile and the app. Will figure out another app or just do it on scorecard and use range finder. What a disappointment!

Good selection of clubs to add to the bag. Only one I couldn't find was my TM rescue 5W. It would be great if we could group clubs into separate bags, a cart bag and a carry bag, or a home bag and a travel bag. I have to deactivate and activate 14 clubs to switch bags. It would also be great to have a place to record the model of ball for the round. Putt recording is a pain. It's hard to mark anything close to another marker. An advanced mode with basic putting would be a good addition/update.

Love this app and I agree with some of the other users, how can the reviews be so bad..... The app works good, has almost all features, looks good, and is very user friendly! Some other apps have it too difficult to keep score and navigate, this app functions smoothly! One thing my friends and I would love to see added is, keep track of putting for everyone in the group, just like keeping score.

could be a very great app. Lots of options but one. The ability to remove your last shot without having to click on it. Sometimes when you add shot it puts it thousands of miles away. It will destroy the whole round you have started. you can continue but it shows you having a drive of 5000 miles. That messes up all your stats. You have to delete the whole round. Fix this.

Tried this a few years ago and it was pretty bad. Just recently gave it another shot and it's much, much improved, so I'm writing this new review. It also has the ability to let me use my Samsung Galaxy S3 watch for yardages. I have Arrcos Cobra Connect sensors in my clubs, but it costs $99/yr for basically the exact same functionality as you get with this for free. Only downside I can see so far is no ability to toggle between 9 and 18 holes. I mostly only play 9 each time out.

I want this app to work so much because it has a good look and feel about it. However I'm constantly having issues when using my Samsung Galaxy Watch. I can't see yardage, only shows the first tee and that's it. Also when the round is finished, it randomly records the club house as one of its tee throwing out my stats. I can't seem to edit these random tee selections on the phone. Looking forward to some more improvements.

When the app works it's OK at providing distances. But where it really falls down is the total lack of support. I've sent two support queries from the mobile app and had no response to either of them. it looks like others have been treated in the same way. Apart from the lack of basic common courtesy, this reflects extremely poorly on the brand. If you're not prepared to provide support for an app, then you shouldn't be releasing an app. Because of that I would steer well clear of this app and find something else. BTW the things I tried to contact support about were: 1) Incorrect distances - even though I'd set the app to metres on my Samsung watch, I'm pretty sure it was returning distances in yards. 2) Asking for help in setting up a round on my Samsung watch. It seems to be such a hit and miss affair that I though I must have been doing it wrong.

The first couple of rounds it was great. I connected to my new galaxy watch and was getting everything i needed. Tried to use it on Thursday October 4 and then today on October 7 and it couldn't find the course. Two different courses. Uninstalled today at the 2nd course and reinstalled but no luck finding the course. Crazy because it worked there before. The phone unit did but i don't want to carry my phone in my pocket. Good thing my range finder didn't have an issue. Frustrating because this could be so good.

Very good, especially when coupled with Samsung watch. Few features are missing: puts entry on the watch is flawed - can't enter individual puts separately, only total # and then finish the hole; and option (automatic or manual) to exclude certain shots from the overall stats - e. g. using 5 hybrid for a chip: I want to know I used that club, but I don't want the short distance of the chip to mess up my overall stats for the club. Bag Options for wedges is insufficient (52, 56, 60...)

For a free app this app was great for me. I have a Samsung gear S3 and it seemed to track my shots Perfectly. I forgot on a few holes and had to go back and make some revisions but other than that it was great. Only downfall is it doesn't track where your shot is on the green and your putt lengths. But for a free app no complaints here. Great job.

Frustrating for me for two reasons. 1) gps is very slow. Takes probably a minute to locate my location. On the course I can't stop for a minute to wait at each shot. 2) logging putts takes about 4 or 5 taps/choices to record each put. Way too much trouble. I had high Hope's because the app has alot of features. In actual use for me not usable. Other apps are more usable.

Updated review - App is functional again with latest release. Changing my rating from 1 to 4 stars. May up it further after I forgive them for breaking things so badly to begin with. --- Original review: Great, when it works. Positive: Runs on Samsung watch, so there's no need to be pulling out your phone after every stroke. Shows distance to hole at a glance. A single tap records each stroke with club, position, and distance. Stats and analysis of individual rounds and aggregate. Negative: No support (none! zero! don't even ask!) and limited documentation. Distances are generally spot-on but occasionally wildly inaccurate (with no in-between). Although rounds are uploaded (usually) to cloud there is no way to view anything on the web; you must use your phone/tablet. Easy to get app into unknown state from which there is no apparent recovery. Recommended for casual golfer.

All problems fixed (you have to uninstall the watch app and re-download it)! Didn't work for a full month and communication with the developer was poor, but honestly, this is the best free golf app out there. I love using my Samsung Galaxy Watch to get distances to the front/middle/back of the green at a glance, and I love that I can get distances to hazards and layup areas on my phone.

Nice from phone but too much for the watch. You should play with the app at home before you get out on the course because it is a bit cumbersome before you get the hang of it. Playing the round from the watch is difficult and fragile. One mistake and you are holding up the whole group. App for phone and watch need a basic mode where it only tracks distance to pin and provides hole selection.

Edit: My past 4 or 5 rounds, this app has been a bit glitchy. It's fine for a few holes then freezes, drops out, takes ages to load back up again. Not ideal when fixing your watch distracts you from the actual golf! This is app is really good for a free app when it is working. Use it on Galaxy Watch 3 during the round then edit on the phone after. Shot markers are accurate, as are the GPS distances on the watch. GPS distances were matching my mates Bushnell watch. Very impressed with this app.

Struggled with this for 48 hours once I downloaded it as it couldn't find and courses. I think they had a problem with their servers, but it's been fine since. Seems accurate and nice interface. This is great for a free app. However I'm dropping a star because their support is rubbish - they just ignore you!

I've only used this app once and I used it on a galaxy watch. I was very impressed. I found it really easy to use and accurate. Ok it doesnt tell you distance to the flag but who cares I'm not Tiger Woods. I want to know the distance to the middle. All distances were confirmed by a laser finder. The watch was on for 4.5 hours and only used 20% power. Swipe to get scorecard and overall current result. You can also select club if you so wish but like I said I was only interested in distance. Overall great free app.
