Mystic Guardian VIP : Old School Action RPG

It's like an SNES-era RPG with the same graphics but none of the charm, intrigue, depth or complexity. The English translation is subpar and inconsistent, so the dialogue and quests are often nonsensical or meaningless. The controls, UI, and skills are clunky, generic, and uninteresting. You can freely mash the screen mindlessly and anything you're attacking will die. This game is too much of a mess to be enjoyed properly.

I thought this game was quite fun. And I love the story mode. I admit it is hard at times. And there is a glitch that happens with the quest log at times. But I still found it fun I also enjoyed that the daily awards didnt restart if you missed a day. (:

Far too many microtransactions being shoved in your face for a paid-for game (including chest keys, which you can't open without) that have a pretty high price tag for what they are/give you. You have to pay large quantities of gold to level skills and ofc getting enough gold/gear without putting real $ into it just to progress is a very long and very tedious grind. You can even get gear for the char you aren't playing, happens pretty often... Translation is nonsensical and poorly done to boot.

If only it could install/play/update from an sd card. If only it were AndroidTV or NVidia Shield compatible...if only. Because of this and the lack of room on my device, I had to choose what is important to keep and what isn't

I love this game! The graphics are great, the gameplay is very entertaining for me. But there's this one thing that bothers me so much. It's the bug on the quest list. In early game, it's still ok & I could interact with it to see what quests I should finish, but not long after that, it bugged and I can't interact with it AT ALL, and what's worse is that I can't even read the quests since it's cropped more than a half per quest. Please fix this and I will change to 5 stars cuz love the game!

I found none of the bugs that other reviews are reporting. Everything from the UI to the controls worked just fine for me. I do take umbrage with the fact that there are microtransactions in an app or game that you pay for. I like the simple combo system and the game is fun. The English could use some editing and localization but it basically gets the story across. Definately worth the dl on sale.

Would be 5/5 if not for a few flaws. First, if you are going to translate the game, please get a proper translator. Broken English isn't always a dealbreaker but it really breaks the immersion which is a pretty big selling point for RPGs imo. Second, when crafting, it would be nice to be able to mass produce the potions instead of crafting only one. at. a. time. Very tedious. Third, this isn't too big a deal, but perhaps add inventory capacity upgrades for us who farm gear and items. Still fun.

It needs some work: most of the time I can't read the quests, the translation is kind of poor and during the short animations looks like the screen "moves" and we can see some kind of background... but overall the game is entertaining, easy to play, and has likeable characters. Two stars because not being able to check the quests is kind of a big flaw

the itself is very great the controls are easy and the gameplay is nice but the problem is when i close the game it keeps showing the sign in error sign and keeps from playing unless i turn on the internet for a short while to get rid of it but comes back later on. I hope they can fix it, because of this this game that is offline is beginning to become a game that needs internet to play. But it may just in my device but hope this gets fixed pls do fix it. Also the quest section somtimes glitches.

This games is great fun to play but I've come across a bug with the quest log. Sometimes when I accept a quest, the log will cut off half of the quest details preview, shift all the quests to the left and not let you click any of them so I don't know what any of my side quests are. The main quest just disappears completely. Everything goes back to normal when I restart the game but after accepting more than one quest, it does it again. It's annoying having to constantly restart. Pls fix this.

I did like the game and the mechanics, and overall the experience is cool and remarkable, the only problem is that most of the times the "missions" tab doesn't work and only appear a blank space. Nevertheless, in some cutscenes you can also see the background image, some kind of base image I guess... In other words, while the cutscene is happening, there is some image in the background where the video doesn't cover. Appart form this, the game's great.

This is one of the best mobile action RPGs that I have played on Android. The controls are fluid and responsive. The graphics are reminiscent of old school console RPGs. The achievement system lends to the playability of the story and raid modes. Sometimes, it's hard to understand what's happening in the story but overall this game is fantastic and you should give it a try.

A surprisingly deep ARPG with simple Dynasty Warriors juggling style combos that can be extended even further with a plethora of active skills and classes that completely change the base combos. Plenty of ways to build your characters, grinding is not too awful, plenty of variety in loot. The only issues are that the quest UI sometimes completely breaks, the graphics scale in such a way that they look kinda off and really fuzzy, and the sound design leaves something to be desired.

Excellent game, but since last update I can't play properly. Running button works randomly and without this button is very complex to play. It contains minor bugs like sometimes the quest menu is not shown properly, but after exit and enter again, it's fixed. 5 stars when controls are fixed.

Rather interesting and well done game. But achievements system is very unrewarding. There should be at least one achievement for each chapter, plus maybe some extra. The game is large and so far I haven't got a single achievement. I'd rather check out other games for now. Please have a look at how other games award achievements -- they should motivate and reward players!

The game brings nostalgia and some new incredible features to it! It brings me back to the old days, the controls are smooth and the game itself is very interesting. The problem is that, well the game kicks me out and my phone has to restart, as in it shuts down and turns itself on. I'm a bit worried about it, if it's going to ruin the phone. You need to fix those small details if you really want to improve on the marketing. I give you the best of luck so all of you can do it!!!!

Story line is amazing, graphics are decent and the characters are fun. leveling up is acutally creative and allows you to choose your own level up options. but i found that in the first level there was a lot of running back and forth and the worse part was that theres like 20 enemies that are really hard to beat and they keep respawning when you leave the room! the first part shouldnt be that hard. anyways, i did'nt have time to stress out and squint. so it had to go.

Beat the game at with kainen and ray at 46. Now doing new game plus. Killing bosses 10 levels above me. Bosses are the worst designed part of the game. My entire build is based on using stealth and nuking it with every skill I can fit in. Then showtime so i can do it again sooner. Ranged skills tend to be too risky to use so I end up focusing on dodging instead. Bosses need to be changed. They should react to damage like every other enemy in the game instead of ignoring the combo system.

The writing is Funky, as if the game was badly translated or the writer didn't know English. You expend too much gold on the skills, leaving you with no money to improve your equipment. But aside from that, it's a very average game. The controls are fine, leveling is easy, the story is okey. I don't know if it's worth buying, because the game has a pay coin, but I never used the coin whatsoever.

Decent game. Got it off sale for free. Good time pass if you're a fan of old 2000s JRPG. I consider 'it' a bit too old though, controls, menu, UI, etc. Also, HEAVILY REPETITIVE. Balancing is great, no real need to do IAPs. There's a sort of class system, but it unlocks way too late, imo. 3 character story. One a brawler, second a sword wielder, third, idk!
