The app is good but the features you're able to access on the car are limited. For example, the remote start feature will go a maximum of 20 minutes in 10-minute increments so you can't melt ice off of your windows in 0⁰ weather by warming it up. I guess it balances out when you consider safety and fuel economy but not the apps fault.

Love being able to warm up my car to save time. I wish the app showed the current condition of the door locks. I know I can lock and unlock but it would be nice to visibly see whether the car is currently locked or not. The app sometimes takes 2 tries to open up.

This app only works 50% of the time. The app worked for 3. Over the 3 days it only worked 50% of the time. All I wanted was a remote start for the car. The app is slow and buggy. The "add authorized user feature" is also broken.

At the beginning this app would text me when I plugged in my car and when it was finished charging. It apparently no longer does that. I thought there was something wrong with my phone when I couldn't get it to work so I went out and spent another $700 on a good phone. It still doesn't let me know when the car plugs in or is unplugged. Not pleased AT all.

Like the app overall on my 2020 OB Ltd. Seems to work well for the few times I've used it. Can you possibly add a setting for summer months to be able to lower the rear windows by an inch and possibly pop the sunroof to let the heat out of the car..

I lost my climate control settings which is what makes the subscription worth the price. Electric start is great but if I cannot turn on my defroster in the middle of winter than it doesn't make sense. This needs fixed asap.

STILL cannot control climate via the app, even though I could when I bought the car. It's the only reasons I paid for the remote access. There is no "climate preset" option next to quick start. There are ZERO options that mention climate control. It's just gone completely. It's been missing for months. I've tried all suggestions - there is essentially no way to change the climate. Remote start is ot super helpful to me in the winter if I still have to walk outside to turn the heat on.. .

Good so far. Like most, the draw for me was the remote starting and lock/unlock feature. So far, those work great. Easy to set up climate presets and I have had no issues with the car receiving the signals. I like being able to use the app with fingerprint also. Not a fan of it being a subscription service but the price for a year was within reason.

mostly a great app. I love starting my car from a distance, however, no matter how many times I change my climate settings the AC turns on. If I have it set to 78 degrees with heated seats, the AC turns on, too. There's no way for me to turn that off from the app. pretty lame. But, other than that, it works well!

Edit- newest update removed delayed start time. Unless I can't find it in the settings. It was a pretty good app until recent update. I liked the ability to be able to delay the start of my vehicle by 1, 5, 10 mins. Can't seem to find that option anymore. Its seems slower to load up as well. Anyway of reverting to old version? 12/2/19 EDIT: Thank you for the reply and instuctuons on how to get to the delay start screen. Was able to find it and now works as well as before update.

When it worked, it was great but it has stopped working and I can't figure out why. I have checked all the recommendations to fix this but nothing has worked. The app shows installed but it is not. I have tried to reinstall by clicking on "installed" only to get errors messages that say it would be diwnloaded soon or there is an issue on our end and to try again. The app is listed on Google Play but not on my phone under apps. It shouldn't be this difficult!

The MySubaru App has so many features. It allows you to create different buttons with different settings for each when pre-starting your car. For example, right now I have one labeled 'winter' which has my heat at an elevated temperature and facing the windshields and the seats are heated and on. I can also stop it whenever I want, even though the maximum run time is 10 minutes. It also gives any warnings about your vehicles health & maintenance! I love it!!

Update: 2/14 This app is useless. It doesn't work the majority of the time. If you are getting a subaru I highly recommend buying the key that has the remote start. It is expensive but it is worth not having this frustration and horrible app! Before the recent update it was working just fine. But after the update I am having no luck at all. I cannot even get it to load sometimes.

This was way better before the "improvements." I only use this app for starting my car. It used to be really simple. One click unless you wanted to change your settings, which I only did switching from winter to summer. Now you have to go through several layers and the only option to start in auto heat mode you can't save changes.

love this app. never knew I "needed" the option to start my car before going out to it, but many is it nice being able to warm it up, cool it down, get it running, lock it, or whatever else I may need while I'm home, at work, in a store, etc. It's also really nice being able to schedule services right from the app.

Love this app! Love being able to do the horn and lights prior to starting my car just to make sure any small animals trying to keep warm from the cold, have an opportunity to get out of the engine compartment. After that I'm able to start my car from the comfort of my home so when I go out, it is warm and cozy! Love being able to set the settings inside the car so it's like I like it when I get in. This app has so many wonderful features! Easy to use!

Can't create any combo of settings for remote start, now there's no way to modify the quick start settings and it just starts the car without asking you about any of the presets. Trying to modify a Subaru preset doesn't let you save it, only start the car with a modified preset. Creating a preset doesn't let you set climate settings to auto. Once upon a Time, pressing quick start would bring you to a menu to select your options then remote start your car, 1 star for regression of functionality.

Not sure how this app has 4+ star rating. After using it for a year it still has two major flaws: 1) Takes 20-30 seconds to connect to the car. When you're used to the remote start button on the key this is pretty inconvenient. 2) App is unreliable. Only connects to the car about 75% of the time.

It's less convenient that the remote starter I had in my last Forester, but it has more features. I especially like the locate feature.

I liked the app more before they updated the interface. It's more stable now but more confusing and I can't figure out how to set my thermostat the way I want anymore. I like keeping it on auto and defrost. Now the auto option is not available under create your own preset.

I absolutely loved this app before. I recently bought a new car, and it will not let me add my car nor will it show my new car on the app or anything about it. It keeps telling me it is already added but yet it won't show me it is on there. Not sure what happened suddenly but PLEASE fix it ASAP. Update- I was able to have a rep correct most of my issues with this. However, I have just tried to stay my car 2x this morning and it's not starting remotely. Hmmm..

Got locked out of account for no reason, can't get back in. Customer service line is closed and seemingly the only option to recover my account. Bad start to the Subaru experience

I love my Sport! I love that I can start my car with the app on a cold morning and when its hot weather. I am able to pre set the temprature with the app. Just Awesome!

Great app to schedule service, operate remote functions and stay on top of the vehicle. Easy to use. No issues.

convenient to have. the app is user friendly and simple to navigate. I just wish car would stay running longer.

Works great most of the time, but the last 2 storms (including today's sleet), it failed. I paid a lot of money for this featured it's unacceptable that it doesn't work when I need it. Subaru should just go back to (or supply in addition to the app) a key gob option for when the app doesn't work. Now I have to scrape ice.

It's gotten better over the last year or so. The ability to use biometrics instead of a pin was a huge QOL improvement. It would be nice if it integrated with google assistant though. Telling google to warm up the car would be a lot faster than pulling my phone from my pocket
