WORST APP EVER! I would give 0 stars if I could. Freedom Forever (system installer) has been out 3 times because app doesn't communicate with my system. Each time they fix it, it only works for that day. A Sunrun technician looked at it and said nothing he could do. He blamed the app!
I got panels after sunrun bought vivent, so I didn't have any syncing issues. As others have noted though: no live updates and the app in general seems half hearted. So far my system works, but not optimistic about long term app reliability
This app has problems staying connected to wifi. I have to keep reinstalling the app to reconnect to be able to use it. This app resembles their Customer Care... 2 star at best.
This app is lacking in features comparative to competitors. It would be nice for them to let us directly connect with our invertors rather than them pulling the data and then moving it to their side for reporting. They don't even us mySunrun to reference our systems.
App looks and feels like a downgrade, but the previous version wasn't that great. The ability to download historical data seemed like an improvement, but it crashes the app when I click download. App uses a code sent through text or email to sign in, but I never would get a text, just email worked. I don't normally leave reviews for apps, but this app is exceptionally useless so far.
Had it for years. Hasn't worked properly since day one in regards to calculating savings. Might as well just remove that feature if you can't provide the information. You can't still something is still in progress that was never started. Get yourselves a real app developer and fix this thing. Might be more useful for you to make it give you an alert if the system reports an error and stops generating power. How about that SunRun?
This app is 100% useless. The data it displays is unreliable, and that's if it displays anything at all. But do install it then complain about it. There's a convenient support contact feature you can use to do that. Sunrun likes to tout themselves as a leader in solar around the country. You sure wouldn't think that from this app.
This app is just disappointing. It hardly updates and just tells you the very basics (output); I had expected much more. Look at the enphase app and the details given in that, this app is pretty useless and underwhelming.
The App is too simple. I have two systems and my primary system uses the Enlighten app and it is LIGHT YEARS better than this app. All this app gives you is how much Kwh your entire system has produced. Enlighten gives you that plus, Kwh your home has consumed, how much Kwh you drew from the grid, how much Kwh you exported to the grid, your Solar Independence percentage from the grid, production stats for each individual panel to ensure they are functioning properly...etc This app needs more.
Works great, graphs are cool to see production. Wish it took less than 24hrs to see production (real time would be great). Otherwise app works as expected
Not all the features work on this thing. When I go to energy system all I see is a little sun constantly loading. Figures
Very poor design. Home page is blocked by a pop-up to "explore solar guide" that doesn't go away. Back button completely closes the app no matter where you are, even if it should take you to a previous screen. No option to change system WiFi settings that I can find. I don't see what this app is supposed to do for me.
Doesn't work. Always say "Error loading production data" This app never worked since I installed Sunrun solar panels. I have to check my electricity utility company's website to see my power usage. Called their support since the day 1, always give me some excuse how it's not working and blames other department in their own company.
Horrible app. They make the app look nice but the functionality of it leaves a lot to be desired. The main function of this app is to view your solar production but because they also have some accounting features they require a super high-end password and there's no way to save the password and no way to use your fingerprint so every time you want to check the status of your solar production you have to type in this horribly long complex password. And then when you get in it seldom works.
I've had nothing but problems with this app since we got our panels. I have contacted SEVERAL times that their readings are not correct; they always tell me panels working perfectly! I even went as far as to get my last 12 months utility bills and sent them to them. I have tried to get a hold of them they do not get back to me. So the outcome of utility bills, was a discount 1month. I suspect collusion and I'm contacting the Public Utilities Commission.
The amount of electricity produced never loads. I just get the spinning wheel of doom which makes the app useless. The information problem was fixed for a few days. Now, after login, no info loads whatsoever. I get a blank screen, once again, making the app useless.
The app was great until my invertor went out and was replaced. The only reason why I know it working again is by waiting on my electricity bill to see if it is producing. Please fix this, it has been more than 48 business hours since service has happened. Technically, it's been over a month.
9/27Later in the day the app started showing the output of my panels. So upon further review I have adjusted the rating upwards. The various graph options update fine. Hopefully it will continue to work properly The data from my Vivnit system won't load and the Vivnit app appears broken so this is my only option for getting system data. And it DOESN'T WORK. Please get your stuff together and fix this. You seem to have all my previous Vivnit account info so I don't know why I can't see the data.
It works, but it's not an app I can honestly recommend. The most recent update makes everything look like a cartoon and it looks simplified, but that's not what I want. 1 star again for this update. I actually liked the previous version but without the constant re log in.
Pretty good app. Would like to see fingerprint auth to make it easy to login the app since the app does not store your credentials. Would also like to see a compare of other solar systems nearby to help show the value of the service. is there a guide that shows what a good system should produce in an area with lots of sun like Colorado.
Can't Login after last update. It asks for my phone number to send a text message with a verification code. The code is never sent making me think it's because SunRun doesn't have my cell number but only my landline. The verification code mechanism works for all my other apps. There is no way to login without receiving that code that never comes. Been trying for 3 days. Ready to uninstall this useless app.
App and the support is horrilbe. Ever since sunrun bought Vivint all the live view functions are gone. The system doesn't sync 80% of the time, you can only view past data (if it works), live data no longer exists, customer service is a joke, 1 hour hold when calling for help, chat has no clue how to help, system has to be rebooted daily for a chance of working. List goes on and on.
Got an email to download this app. Since I have, my Vivint app no longer works and this app doesn't show my data production. I contacted them and was told my wifi isn't connected. All the lights on the inverter is working and the TP-Link inside and outside all 3 lights are working on each. So sick of this. Last time this happened, I was over charged by Vivint totalling $150. I was reimbursed, but it was a back and forth headache. This app is awful.
Can't even log in. I enter the same info I login through a web browser, and when I verify with the code you send, the apps says you are having problems with your code, and asks to send a new one. After 4 consecutive redirects, I got the message. You don't actually want me to log in.
