I really like the app but unfortunately the food database is very small. It seems like everything I try to scan has to be manually entered.
I was really confused at first because I paid to download this app and have been using it for years with no ads, only to get them and a "go premium!" Menu item when I switched to my new phone. This isn't the correct version of the app, lol. That said, I wonder why the free version of the app, with in-app purchases, has been updated more recently than the paid version? 😔 and honestly, why they're separate in the first place...
It's a very comprehensive app. Really, the only real problem with it is the foods database. There are tons of duplicate entries, many of them spelled incorrectly (which makes searches not work) and no way to correct them. The search also brings up a TON of irrelevant results. Still a good app overall. Adding items isn't very intuitive.
A good habit to get into in terms of reporting daily habits, but not really helpful in determining allergens or narrowing down symptoms for food sensitivity. I opted for the paid version in hopes it would give clearer results, but the patterns in my body don't align with the reports. Glad it was only a few dollars.
I'm finding this app very helpful. It's a little confusing at times, and I keep clicking on the wrong button when I'm trying to save an item.. I'd also really like to see a scheduling function, that puts up an alert/reminder when you need to log your current health, or to take your meds. But it's very flexible and I'm quite pleased so far. I like how easy it is to add items and customize the lists.
I liked this enough to pay for the full version, but somehow it's become more difficult to display the symptoms line graph. I'm not certain what the point of the bar chart analysis is and why it's not a line graph - doesn't it make more sense to visually show how frequently one has reported nausea in the past two months, rather than a long, unquantified bar? I can work around it, but this would be greatly improved if there was a user-enabled option to change graph types.
This is an amazing app! It's made keeping a record of everything easy. My doctor loves the reports I give her. It doesn't warrant the loss of any stars since it's a user error, and doesn't take away from the usefulness I get from the app but when clicking a symptom the percentages and the info above the chart are confusing. I also wish there was an option for a date range when viewing a symtpoms chart, to see the difference between two areas of time. I'm thankful for this app and it's help!
2 stars for functionality, but it does not meet my needs because: you cannot change the sort order. I need the most recent entries on top. Worse, the awful logo and color give an feeling of bad and wrong; I am doing this for healing, growth and self knowledge. It seems like a minor thing but when I see that dozens of times a day, it creates negativity that I don't need. You can't change the color, and the splash screen with the awful image would still be there. Reports are useless bar charts.
I think the free version of this application is okay, but unfortunately not in depth enough to figure out what my potential issues might be. While a fair price, I personally can't afford to pay $5 a month for the subscription, henceforth the additional details I believe I would need.
