mytaxi – The Taxi App

Booking in advance actually doesn't really mean you are going to get a taxi. The app will make the request for a taxi about 30 minutes before the requested time. If there's no available taxi at that time, bad luck for you. Probably in cities with a lot of drivers there's no problem but in areas with less drivers ca be tricky. So I can't recommend!

Pathetic UI.. if you are used to the smooth navigation in Uber, this is total cr*p.. it does not show the cab moving for many minutes and then suddenly it shows that the cab has arrived. Drivers don't move after accepting the ride for a long time. They also cancel frequently. There is no messaging system to reach the driver.

Uber is much cheaper, even after having used a voucher with these guys. There doesn't seem to be much going on outside of London, (if it is true) hardly anyone available. Works wonders in Portugal (just not in the morning or for pre bookings). Driver kept locking/unlocking doors? Don't care if it's automatically, didn't feel safe nor comfortable. It's a hard pass.

I booked a car for 7:30am, 7 hrs before ride, and made sure it was large enough to fit our family and luggage. Less than 1 hr before the status of my confirmed ride changed to pick up at 8:30am. This was not going to work with our flight schedule. The app had no way for me to contact anyone to figure out what was going on. All I got was a phone notification, but then the app didn't update inside the app, so I had no idea what was going on.

Nowhere near as reliable as normal ride hailing apps. On 6 separate occasions, we tried to book "on-demand" using the app, and were hit with 40+min waits, and drivers would accept the ride and then cancel it, at one point the driver drove right in front of us, and then took off and cancelled. Ultimately, this app cost us more time than if we had just used public transport. Booking in advance worked OK however. So just book in advance if you want to use this app, don't treat it as on-demand.

The app is very bad at finding you a taxi. And when it does, they usually cancel. The. The system gets stuck in a loop and never gets you a ride. It isn't focused at all on Users, maybe only there to please taxists? You can't rely on this service.

Terrible service, rarely works. Continuously tries to charge me for a trip I took years ago that was paid for. Added to this, free now has taken hefty deposits for journeys from me (€45 most recently) that doesn't return to my account for weeks if at all. So I have to wait weeks to see if I get my money back for a taxi that never came, and then if I don't get it I have to spend time trying to get it back. The service is getting worse, not better.

Decent app but no guarantee. App is decent if you are not in a hurry! Also some taxis will cancel at the last minute a prebooked ride which is not acceptable. So basically you have no guarantee the taxi WILL come. Use with caution! I won't recommend if you absolutely need a taxi at the right time, to catch a plane for example, even prebooked.

Tired getting charged 5€ every time the drivers don't show up or never finding a taxi when you need it. If you order a taxi is because you want to go from point A to point B in a short time, not for fun just because you have to much time to waste,order a taxi,wait 20 minutes and then just cancel the trip because you found something better to do. It is ridiculous and I definitely don't recommend it.

Don't use this app. When using the Lite option it charges more than the amount already set. Also it offers you to share your code with friends to earn rides at discounted prices but when we compared the prices for the same routes on 3 devices, it was clear that the prices on the account with the earned discount were 30% higher than on the other accounts which is a clear sign that they are manipulating and stealing money. 0/10!

Canadian in Rome as of May 2022...have used app twice and worked perfect. I select max amount it automatically charges credit card immediately, but the two times I've used it the fare was less so when driver inputs the actual fare amount it cancels and refunds original amount then charges the new lower amount ...worked great for us.

Since this app started to advertise publicly the quality of the service has gone down the drain. At any given time all taxis seem to be booked at all times and it takes ages to find a cab. At the same t8me prices have gone up. Not what it used to be. Just said and I will delete this app soon.

Freezes at verification code screen when setting up account. Logged back in and it wanted to verify again and exact same thing. Correct code input and then nothing happens. Third time it worked, apparently by waiting until after the initial 30 seconds.

It rarely works. Booking trips are a waste of time, they keep you waiting and no one shows up. Doesn't show ETA which is pretty frustrating, lost some important appointments, not reliable.

how can I describe.the weirdness of this app. The estimstes are completely wrong, the taxi number that is supposed to pick you up changes at the same time that the old one is supposed to pick you up (and passes by you). When I asked for a ride to be cancelled it means I want it to be cancelled before you ask for the reason why. You basically charged me for a cab that arrived even though I asked for the ride to be cancelled before you even found a taxi. This is basically theft on your part.

Pathetic customer service. When you sign up, the app indicates an automatic 30% discount will be applied at the end of the trip, for the first 3 trips. This is not the case at all. Response via email from the customer service requesting more information, which they should know the answer to. AVOID this company, seems to me a complete Sham. 4 emails later, explaining everything all over again and they don't understand.

A very easy to use app for an Australian in Rome, Italy. We made 10 taxi trips and all were great. Respect the taxi driver and their car, receive a 5 star passenger rating and you'll have no problem finding a driver to accept your booking.

It literally never works. The app itself is nice but you never find a ride. I ended up waiting 20 minutes before deciding to close the app and go to Bolt or Uber. Gave this service way too many chances and it literally never worked. In months of trials i only had one ride 🙄

No means to know whether drivers are available. I had successfully pre-booked a trip but 5 minutes before I am scheduled to leave I was told there were no drivers available. There was nothing anywhere (that was indicated to me) to suggest that this was the process and that I was not guaranteed a driver. I have now missed a paid appointment somewhere. Not an app I will use again.

Horrible experience. Tried to book a trip was blocked in prebooking even though I was charged on my Paypal account. Had to cancel and still haven't received any confirmation of the cancel and that I'll be refunded. Uninstalled directly. I miss mytaxi.

Was waiting for almost an hour, a driver accepted the trip than canceled it. The amount have been withdrawn from my account and no drivers were found on a Monday afternoon. Really do hope they'll return the fee. Highly NOT recommended to use this app!

I asked for a lift and the driver cancelled. I left house and was walking to my destination. O them open app and see another driver is coming. App error, why are they not asking me to confirm first? If others cancel, why assume I still want to wait for the service? And then trying to say I must pay, £5, when it's the app issue? Deleting and uninstallong, not worth the risk.

Had a bad experience with the driver, sent complaints through the app but now they want me to send a new email from the email associated with the app. There was a box for an email address in the app. Why make things complicated when they don't have to be? I won't use this service again. App deleted

Good in Valencia. 6 Trips in Valencia, easy to move around. It depends a lot on the driver (ex. 1 driver manually entered the fee at the end of the trip overriding the total of the trip and triggered the fraud warning on my Revolut and had to unblock the payment from the FreeNow app). There is also no control on the payment option. After the issue from above, the next trip was cash only. Not sure if this was because of the driver or the issue above.
