App could be more user friendly. It would be good to add favourite journeys e.g from a to b then b to a, I always do the same thing. Also for some reason it loses the journey all the time, I'll be mid trip and open the app again to confirm the details but have to type the trip details in again. Trip time always keeps popping up even though I'm already looking at a journey.

App disables stop alarms due to loss of GPS signal. The advertisement on the bus makes it a Faraday Cage and.... I lose GPS fix. What's the point of having an app if the data is wrong? Or unreliable?

The schedule data behind this app has no resemblance to reality. While this might be useful for route info, as a scheduling tool it's worse than useless. It's misleading.

The inbound route 105 that departs from Indooroopilly at 12:30pm on Saturdays doesn't seem to actually exist. Every time I arrive 5 minutes early to my stop on Fairfield Road, and every time I have to wait 25 minutes until the following route 109 bus arrives. No updates, no 'this bus has been cancelled', and no bus.

Needs to show more than the next 3 services. Maybe the next 10 or even user selectable. It would be handy to see the next 10 or 15 min so I know how quick I need to be.

TransLink reality is issues being passed on for investigated means nothing we'll be investigated and fixed? Like not having days in the app (Took months to change dates from American to Australian), couldn't find a journey from Yeronga to The Myer Centre CBD at anytime, telling passenges to walk to another bus stop or train station further away even those there stops and stations closer, annoying pop up box asking for time and day I wanted to travel even those I gave it etc etc etc

It's completely unreliable, and now it doesn't show the shorncliffe line heading towards shorncliffe, only towards cleveland.

Some time a bit slow. And does not give the Accurate Times. For the buses.

The last few updates may have changed how the app looks but it's done nothing in terms of if it actually works. It still crashes all the time. It works for about 1 minutes and then gets stuck. After about 3 mins of being stuck it then crashes. I've uninstalled and installed the app. I've got enough ram and space on my phone but in the end it still crashes. Please fix this.

Clearly a lot of work has gone into this app, and some features are great, but there's a few annoying usability issues that should be resolved, especially around making the app return data quicker when you need it most. The splash screen is always slow, the journey planner requires you to type in a full address but often returns annoying results despite the search criteria, and if you wanted to adjust a previous entry slightly, well sorry, you just have to type the full details on again.

The latest update reduces the usability of the app. No more automatic timetable display for your nearest stop. Users are now forced to click on a specific stop to bring up the timetable, which is now squashed into a tiny bar at the bottom displaying only one service at a time, and which cannot be expanded. Why would a user need most of their display to be taken up with a map, when the most important information for them is the bus schedule? It makes no sense.

Whoever designed the bar chart looking journey results obviously has never had to use this app themselves. I used this app everyday when I lived in QLD 5 years ago and I remember it being easy, reliable, and intuitive. Trying to come back to it now with this new interface is just a nightmare, is it too much to ask to simply have a nice clean list of trip results like before?

Crashes every time the address is typed in, which makes this app useless. Update: The app freezes when address is in the process of being typed in the search bar. It is also automatically redirecting to the route planning, there is no option to search a place up to see public transport stations around it, so it starts calculating the route straight away. It is hard to close the app or restart the phone when it happens.

Clunky user interface. Whenever I try to go back, e.g. from a search result, it exits the app completely. This is not standard functionality for an android app and should be fixed immediately. Back should go back. And maybe label the bus routes more clearly? Simply stating the name of the destination stop (usually just a street name) is not very helpful and clutters the screen with information. Some basic arrows along the route on the map would be very helpful.

Still doesn't work. Trying to plan a route, it just timed out and shows me a blank screen without any kind of explanation about what's going on. Time to kick off the developers and finally hire someone who actually can write applications. And not, it was not a problem with external systems - browser based planner worked just fine.

Mar. P. Feb 12, 2020

EDIT: 4 months later, I reinstall the app and it is still unusable. Cannot plan a journey, freezes after I type 1 or 2 digits or letters. (October 19) Since the before-last update, freezes every time I try to use it. I've gone back to using the browser journey planner. The app freezes whenever I try to type in a destination or origin in the planner. I can type 1 digit or letter, then it crashes. Also freezes if I look around the bus stop map.

The app does not work in the mornings. I have attempted to use the MyTransLink app every morning this week, and always the same result. Nothing. No results. I've tried my personal wifi to the internet and through my mobile 4G connection. No difference. When I'm ready to leave work in the city in the afternoon. It works no problem.I've tried using the favourite as well as manually putting in the address, using the favourite home and work options. Always the same error. It's garbage.

This app used to be fairly close to accurate when it came to the time of buses, especially from train stations, but now it is extremely unreliable. For example, I'll be at a stop with lots of time to spare prior to predicted departure but then the bus wont come and the app then adjusts the arrival time to a much later time. So frustrating to plan connecting times.

Absolutely the worst transport app I've used. Built to cater to the weird way transport is Set-up in Brisbane, and not functional. I really don't care about picking the right platform on the map at my nearest station, give me a single station, and direction. Have the boards replicate the colour and look of the departure boards. Get some coherence.

Kri. Feb 13, 2020

Basically useless. Half the time it doesn't work or have up to date information. It's really only helpful if you're looking for a route map. The other functions often don't work, or work for a while but then disappear when you refresh them. My bus is often not on time and the app is rarely ever accurate about when it will arrive. Today the app can't display any information about my bus that is due in a few mins.

Latest update (2 Dec) displays awkwardly on my s7 screen e.g. on timetable screen the update button obscures text. The timetables are still clunky. I really want to be able to swipe over the timetable to move it earlier or later, but have to go to earlier or later links at the top or bottom of the timetable. My station is in the middle of the line so always a lot of extra scrolling.

Rac. J. Nov 28, 2021

Often not up to date. Critical service updates for example. See them on facebook but the 'real time' trips in the app dont reflect it. Trip planner has limitations. A Maps app is more accurate...the 'arrive before' doesn't show all options - e.g. I was at the train station, there was a train due in a few minutes that would get me to my destination in time and it didn't show in the app at all.. Would also be nice to link go card to the app to easily check balance, trip and top up.

It keeps freezing up. Much easier to use G-maps and the route details come up. It's just a waste of space and time. Journey planner mainly. It obviously uses a lot of space on devices too, which slows things down alot. If you put in journey details, it can take a good 5 mins minimum before it will do anything, so whilst waiting if you put the same details into a web browser up come the route details instantly. When telling someone to use your planner they said freezes.

There is still an issue when I go to change the time I want to arrive to a destination. Everytime I try the app leaves the window that pops up but won't close once I click done. I can't go back the only way to get out of it is to close the app and start again. Until this is fixed I'm not going to bother with Translink which is a shame considering we tax payers spend so much money on public transport!
