myTransUnion: Credit Freeze

Can't log-in... App freezes! No matter how many times I put in my username and password, when I try to sign in the app freezes. Have had to shut down my Galaxy S7 on occasion just to close it. I've also tried uninstalling/reinstalling with no success. I find it worrisome that an app put out by a major credit reporting agency dealing with my personal credit is so unstable. If this isn't fixed by the developer SOON, I'll be uninstalling... for good!

Super nice to be able to manage freezes at home. It is more than straight forward. Today was the first time I have used this for a few months and really appreciate the add lift option. Previously I ended a freeze but had to set a calendar alert to remember to go back and place the freeze again. Happy this step has been eliminated. Thanks.

Does not work! IF the app doesn't freeze your phone, IF you can log in, then it only ever tells you that the service is "temporarily" unavailable. I've read multiple reviews and it's been "temporarily unavailable" for months if not more than a year! I'm trying to buy a house but can't because TransUnion is holding my credit hostage!

I installed this app two days ago knowing I would need to unfreeze my credit for a loan application. I was unable to authenticate but fixed that with a password reset. Since then the only status I get is "FREEZE STATUS UNKNOWN". I've tried it at least a dozen times over the past two days without a useful result. The only thing I've found good about the app is that the "FREEZE STATUS UNKNOWN" screen also shows the 800 number you'll need to call to actually get something done.

Three times I've downloaded and installed this app. All three times, when I attempted to log in, my whole smartphone locked up. I had to restart my phone completely. What kind of garbage is this? How can it help me protect my credit info, when it essentially disables the tool used to run it? I've read through the reviews. Interesting that TransUnion hasn't bothered to respond to a single one of the negative comments. Makes me wonder about their motivation. Just profit?

app doesn't work for me, it doesn't let me log in, I can log in using the internet but when I try the app it just doesn't let me. transunion is great, great place to check and lock your credit score. been using transunion a long time and wont stop now. but for the app, it needs fixing.

Unfortunately, as others have noted, it doesn't accept my log in credentials, even though I can log in online fine. Interestingly, my wife can log into the app with her credentials just fine but I can't recommend an app that only supports some users. Transunion support acknowledged that there is a problem that is "being worked on for a future fix" but this app is obviously not ready for prime time.

Only one thing needs to be changed. I feel like it should ask you for your pin when you want to unfreeze your credit report, not before you put a freeze. It seems counterintuitive to me to have the app ask for your pin before you place a freeze, but not when removing the freeze.

Simple, easy, limited. This app only adds, removes, or temporarily lifts credit freezes. Very important to prevent major credit fraud. It doesn't do anything else, and it doesn't need to.

Frozen out! Won't let me sign in. I locked my credit, AND NOW that the app freezes every time I try to sign in. Now I can't unlock my credit. PLEASE TransUnion, for the sake of the 37,000 Canadians whose information was compromised, please, please, please, make this app work again! I've read at least six other reviews about the same problem, so I know it's not me. I read those reviews, but since it let me sign in the first time, I though the bug was fixed. Now I feel like Charlie Brown...

The app was pretty straightforward and easy to use if you are attempting to freeze your credit I would recommend to download this app because if you go through the trans Union app it will make you purchase a membership the only thing that was off setting was that 1 of the verification questions had nothing to do with myself other than that pretty great service.

Extremely easy to navigate with clear, concise info. Freezing/Unfreezing, Lifting, and viewing report is convenient. Only negative is the constant "sell" for credit protection within the app.

Never remembers passwords and no fingerprint option like Experian. I always have to enter my complicated passwords which is harder on a phone. I have subscriptions with all three bureaus. This app sucks. Experian is better and more user friendly.

App just bugged out of no where. The app isn't syncing correctly to the server to log into an account. Each time you hit the criteria for the app's password and press login the whole app freezes or not responds. DEAD APP

Easy and useful. I've had ID theft and false accounts opened before and it is such a time sink to correct. This is an easy precaution with a super simple interface.

I like how easy it is, just login and freeze, unfreeze or do a temporary lift. The app works great and for me, the lift took effect within minutes. Perfect.

Easy to freeze and unfreeze credit report, although I did have trouble doing a temporary lift. Overall, happy with app. Easy to use.

Great and effective app. Getting rid of it and forcing consumers to find and browse to your website instead seems like a great way to get people to not use your service as much. This will also expose many to the potential of accidentally using fraudulent sites.

Very frustrated! Now that I want to temporarily unlock app doesn't work and times put. I have uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled without success. Very disappointed!!!!

This app is amazing! I used to own a collection agency so I know how hard it used to be to remove negative credit accounts. It used to take months, if not years! Today, I disputed an account on my report, TransUnion researched it, realized it was PiF and removed it. did I mention that all happened today? Thank you TransUnion!!

I can't even get into the app to use it. I have a TransUnion account through their website but I can't use those same log-in details for their app. I would need to have two accounts with them for the same service.

Cannot unfreeze after my credit had been frozen both on the website and mobile app. I always get the message that my freeze status is unknown and temporarily unavailable. Please fix!

So far, one star (is there a zero star) and that is due to their backend server being down so the app is less than useless. This was my first time ever attemptint to use this app, and having a 100% failure right away is no good sign. I'll review when it works....

It's awesome how I am able to control the ability to lock/lift the freeze ony credit report without going through unecessary hoops. Fast and easy!

Useless app. Once you're logged in it always returns, "The transunion credit freeze service is temporarily unavailable." Persisted for several weeks with no resolution. 0 stars.

I already have an account with Transunion. But for some reason, the app does not recognize it and won't allow me to sign in. I am not creating another account for a service I already utilize. Will change my review once this bug is fixed.

I could not sign in using Android app. No problem signing in using iPhone version. Looks like devs may have an issue with Android OS. Once signed in it was simple to use.

I love the app and the ability to freeze and unfreeze my credit report. But the app needs more information. ie. who has access my credit and when

Invalid user name and password using this app. But they're OK for the web site in a browser on this phone AND my desktop PC. If this app is not for TrueIdentity accounts, then post that here. Otherwise, as others have reviewed, this app is borked.

Easy to use and install. I suspected scam and immediately froze my credit. It was easier than the other major credit beauros.
