At first it was good and now it keeps getting bad. I do not like the transaction fee that was raised from 50 cents to 95 on every transaction. The mobile app hasn't let me login for 2 months now. It's supposedly being worked on Good thing is no annual or monthly fees. It's not bad if you withdrawal all your $ when it is credited to your account. That way I avoid transaction fees. I don't like keeping my $ on cards or banks anyways. I may switch to card wth no trans fee for online purchases.

The app has potential to be good..but it seems the developers just gave it a basic interface and gave up. It shows transactions but doesn't tell if you've gotten money or what's being taking out..just shows you numbers. It isn't that hard to add a plus or subtraction sign. It could also use a lock for if you lose your card.

Terrible. Constantly has trouble even getting past the login page. Try to change any settings and the little circle just spins and says accessing. And just stays on that screen. Crashes all the time. Freezes all the time. One of the worst apps on my phone by far. Don't waste your time downloading this app.

Pros: I dont have to use a browser to look at my balance. I can navigate the app. Cons: The app times out even though I was still using it. The login is very fickle and doesn't recognize my login sometimes. There is nothing else I can view other than my balance. I was hoping to see my statements or card history.

There's no way to check the balance of a gift card. Mine has no 16 digits on it. There's money in it but keeps getting F@#king decline. Card is activated also. This app is useless. Also won't allow you to unistall from here. Have to hold the app on the screen then hit Uninstal. Going with a different company. I'll never use this one agajn.

no US based customer service directly available and the offshore reps keep telling you to go to the website or use the app. after not being able to activate the card using US based customer service, I asked for a refund, before the card was even activated, and they charged me $9.95 for the pleasure of the inconvenience. There are much better and easier ways to get a prepaid card without all the fees. like movo.

I can't log in to my account..keeps saying I entered the wrong info .. not only that but it also won't let me update anything ..they don't update this app ..it appears they don't care that it's not working .. wouldn't recommend using this .. here it is may 6 the 2020 & still having the same issues with this app. Doesn't seem to do any good to leave review's because app issuer doesn't seem to care if this app works or not ..I also sent them email .. just wondering if that will do any good .

I figured out the login issue that I also had and fixed. The password length from a laptop is different than the ap (shorter). Try removing ending characters from your password. Mine was *exactly* one character too long (only for the app; the web one needed the complete password). Hope that helps!

It always tells me my password is incorrect and I have to re type it several times before it finally accepts it, every single time. And it hasn't been letting me view my any transactions at all. Always says, "error" and when it does work, rarely, it takes several several days for any transaction to show up, usually like 4-6 days.

I want to change the alert settings and it just keeps spinning and spinning. I get all alerts but the daily balance alert comes at 4 in the morning! I want to shut it off but when i do it just spins. This app is glitchy!

Why is the app such a hassle? All I wanted to do was review my transactions for the last few days and I can't log in. I went ahead and tried the forgot password to see if I could just simply change it and be done. Error messages no matter what I do. I uninstalled and reinstalled, cleared my cache, and still cannot log in.

It wouldn't let me log into my account. Kept saying that it was the wrong info, but could log in fine on my internet browser. Not sure what would cause that, but I was very disappointed with it. I ended up uninstalling it so it wasn't wasting space on my phone. If they ever get this fixed, I'd like to try it out.. Til then, I wouldn't recommend.

Horrible wouldn't advise you to purchase. You are charged $10 to add money via Retailers and MyVanilla, then$.95/per transaction plus more fees. Never contact customer support to assist with activation for a card for if they make a wrong entry, even repeatedly saying the same information you present to them, you are liable for their errors

Will not load on my lg g7. Wont even get to the log in screen. So frustrating! On my galaxy s10 works fine. When it works its does what its meant to like checking balance and transactions. However as this point in time very dissapointed!!

I got this card yesterday as a temp. while I waited on my original bank card to come in the mail. I have had absolutely nothing but issues. I couldn't even log into the app to check my balance and see how it works because it kept saying my login info was invalid. Funny how it worked on the browser after a password reset. Like another user said, I will also be shredding this card when the balance is gone. If i can even use it. It keeps getting denied every time we swipe it even with the balance.

This app is garbage. Takes over 5 minutes just to open it. Only to have a blank screen so you can't log in. Constantly says my log in info is wrong even when I just changed it. Plus they charge you a fee every time you make a transaction.

0 stars These cards are a scam! I had bought one needing to pay Bill's I bought the VISA DEBIT not the gift card, well I loaded more than what I needed even it being a VISA debit you cannot use at a ATM nor get cash back. Does not say on packaging but on card on back, pretty messed up. They make sure they get their greedy processing fees, I will never use again I usually only use American Express but the store was out, but fully loaded with this card. Don't use.

This app is as awful as the card. The packaging draws your eye to a prepaid debit card HOWEVER read the fine print. Its more for DD and the fees are 1 $ each time u swipe. And in very fine print tells you that even if you paid in cash to reload it you will not have access to it for 24 to 48 hours. The APP has no information that you need AND if you call customer support, you are put on hold and they hang up on you. Most people don't even get the money. Ever.

I've had 2 different cards and accounts. Neither one I could register online. Not sure why. When I called customer service, she told me to set it up online...well that's helpful, thanks. Used to be 50. per transaction, which I thought was bad...then they raised it to 95. I just don't understand spending money to use your hard earned money!??? I only use this card to pay bills that won't take am. exp. (who charges nothing to use ur own money, AND has free atm sites)

I tried the app. Several times, all day from early till late. Every time it said services were not available. I finally tried my browser and got right in. No problem with the site. So I tried the app again, with the same result, Services not available. So. Site is fine, App doesn't work.

Very hard to use this app. Misleading & repetitive . I wasted over an hour on this goofy app tryn to activate a card for someone that was in hosp . He also had issues with the app. Needs work so it's less confusing . Also need more live customer service agents available to answer calls. Ridiculous that customers should go thru such long wait to activate a credit card that was already purchased. I get it- this is a busy company but my time is just as valuable as yours.

No problem with this card. Had for over a year. Decided to download app today and no problem. It's a prepaid card and all prepaid cards require a fee in order to use. Only downfall, this card is not accepted by my bank. Hopefully my direct deposit completes without an issue though.

I have my own business. My pay gets deposited on my card. I travel and regardless of where I am at every time i want to check the status of my card through this app it tells me the service is not available please try later. Currently it has been unavailable for three days straight. I think they turned the lights out and went home. Unacceptable!

I am happy with the card and the website works good, but the app doesn't recognize my username & password. There is nothing in the help menu to address tech issues. Just info about using the card and such. I'm gonna delete the app and stick with the website.

This card is a rip-off; the registration process is a joke. Gave SSN, birthday, the address on my licence and they said the couldn't verify me lol...So, I was given this as a giftcard. I can't withdrawl money from an ATM, or get cash back from a purchase, and it's a $0.95 charge for each transaction. This company only surives because it's success depends on there being a large group of people who make bad financial decisions...and so MyVanilla has made itself a bad financial decision.

My experience with this card was abysmal. I tried activating it using both their website and this app but it kept giving me a KYC error code even though I entered my information correctly countless times. So I tried calling and was on hold for an eternity before I was finally helped. after some finagling to my suprise I was able to activate the card. I have heard many reviews of people who haven't been able to access their money after hours on the phone, in short use a different card.
