MyWARN constantly monitors the latest tornado, severe thunderstorm and flash flood watches and warnings from the National Weather Service. It uses the location services in your device to notify you immediately when an alert is issued for where you are.

* Only Alerts For Where You Are: Legacy warning systems, like sirens and NOAA Weatheradio, issue warnings for entire counties. But National Weather Service warnings are drawn very precisely. MyWARN only notifies you when you are in the precise alert area.

* Safety Information: MyWARN gives you specific safety actions to be taken based on the particular alert you are located in.
* Live Television Coverage: When a severe weather warning is issued for your location, it is time to immediately act. As you are getting in your safe place, MyWARN lets you watch television coverage and radar from partners who offer live streaming so you can get more information.

* BATTERY LIFE ***

MyWARN uses the GPS feature of the smartphone. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
When there are no severe weather alerts for your area OR the "Precision" option is off, MyWARN uses very little battery. But when there are alerts, the app does use the GPS to deliver you the most accurate information possible and battery use will increase. During a severe weather event, it is advisable to keep your device charging as much as possible in case you lose power for an extended period.

* MULTIPLE SOURCES FOR INFORMATION ****
MyWARN is the newest type of severe weather notification system, but technology is not infallible. Never rely on just one source for weather alerts. Please ensure that you have multiple sources for severe weather information, including phone notification, NOAA Weatheradio, television and outdoor sirens.

MyWARN helps stack the odds in your favor by bringing you precise alerts and helping you know what actions to take. Having a plan, being weather aware and multiple excellent sources of severe weather information can increase your survival chances.

Worked great on iPhone. However, on my Galaxy S5 I don't think it works at all. Get notices saying chance of severe weather. But upon opening app, it says refresh failed and shows nothing. I really can't depend on this app. Seems like it may have worked when I first switched to Android a year or so back, but not sure. Sure is a shame.
This used to work, but not any more. I think they shut it down and didn't bother to notify it's subscribers. I paid $10, a few years ago, but it doesn't work at all now. I went to the website and it has not been updated since 2014. (Samsung Galaxy S4)
I purchased this app last night and it didn't work. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Still didn't work. Sent two different messages to support with no response. Today I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Same results. First app I have ever purchased. Never again! Big waste of money and time trying to get it to work.
I made a terrible mistake and purchased this application in haste. I now regret wasting $10 for this useless piece of software. Let me explain it's main problem..... IT DOES NOT WORK! When the weather is bad and you really want to hear of impending or approaching danger, this application curls up and dies. That's right.... it quits working. No alerts. No warnings. NOTHING. As a result, If you place your trust in this application, you are risking your life. So not only is this application bad,,,, IT IS DANGEROUS! So you have been warned. Save your money and potentially save your life..
I have now tried to use this on 3 different devices (Galaxy S 4, Note 8, Nexus 6). In no case has it worked reliably. I will get a GPS lock exactly once, and from then on it simply keeps trying to get a lock but never does, and no other app is able to get a lock either. Reboot? The app brings up GPS again and fails to get a lock. No other apps work with GPS. If I turn GPS off and back on it will work briefly for other apps, until this one tries to get a lock. Once I uninstall this app GPS frees up. Very disappointed. The concept is very great but I think I've only ever received one or two alerts on it.
Nice app, if expensive... but no updates more than three months after submitting a pretty serious bug report (if you have poor visibility to GPS satellites, your battery will drain *very* quickly regardless of your settings in myWarn), and Ryan, who previously was responsive hasn't replied to emails in over a week. Great idea, poor execution.
Once I installed it kept telling me refresh failed, every time that I opened it. Can't believe I spent 10$ on this and it doesn't even work... off to purchase something else I suppose.
Problem with test mode. Ryan emailed me within the hour. Uninstall and reinstall from Playstore. Works flawlessly now. A bit more volume on the alert would earn 5 stars. You need this app for Safety.
App constantly crashes. Works great when skies are blue, but very slow to update during severe weather.
Useless waste of money.Will not refresh and will not trigger a test alert.Contacted customer service and they did not respond on the day I needed it the most.Infuriated!
Works great for me both on the Samsung Galaxy s3 that I lost, and an old Droid Incredible! I've never had any problems.
This app is great. Helps me out a lot. We live in a very rural area and sometimes rely this app.
Severe watches and warnings working with weather channel app but nothing with this app. Regret purchasing.
Doesn't work don't waste Ur money. crashes to much
I make regular trips from sw Oklahoma through northern Texas to Shreveport, La. This app updates constantly and in unfamiliar areas I don't have to know what radio station to turn to!! MyWARN lets me know the second I'm in a watch or warning!!
Kept telling me refreshed failed. Try again. And i had to purchase this! Don't waste your money.
This application shuts down more than it works. I paid 10.00 for a piece of crap... Guess that will teach me... Enjoy my money...

Good app but the sound very very low
I too do not understand the low ratings for this app. I have an old Incredible 2 and it works great for me. Thanks MyWarn for coming out with the Android app.
So far so good. Just didn't hear a sound when an alert was issued other then that all good
Downloaded 3-18-13. Kept me on top of all the watches and warnings! Don't rely on outdoor sirens. These warnings are specific to your area !!!!!
Does not sound notification alarm while connected to wifi. Have requested refund. If the app worked, it would be a good one. Simple interface and easy to use. The wifi issue is a problem. Support say they are investigating issue. Samsung Galaxy S3.
2 years without a revision, come on, you're not fixing anything. Non-responsive developers. Good idea terrible execution.
I get a small notification on my phone screen at the very top. No emails or sounds. May work on an iPhone but doesn't on a Samsung Galaxy S4. Uninstalling due to waste of battery. Save your money for a better app. Just noticed, last update was May 2013. Does not appear any progress is being made to correct the problems. Description on web. is not valid
