Substratum is the new theme engine that outclasses Layers. Substratum is divided in 2 type of technologies:# Substratum Legacy: it is the old layers but it works only with the new app Substratum Theme Engine (https://goo.gl/nM6KCQ) so unistall the old layers app this is useless.# Substratum OMS: it is the new technology that have the new quick apply fot themes. it works only with the new app Substratum Theme Engine (https://goo.gl/nM6KCQ) and you must have a rom that support this new technology!
NOTE:This is not a cm12.x/13.x theme!
YOU NEED ROOT AND SUBSTRATUM THEME ENGINE APP INSTALLED (https://goo.gl/nM6KCQ)
If you have problems you MUST update the substratum theme engine.
ATTENTION: Some roms have in Settings in the navbar section , an option that can colour your navbar in black and white. So if it is activated your navbar will be without colour. So disable this option, reboot and enjoy the navbar!!
This is not for CM12.x/13.x but only for rom with RRO/Substratum/Substratum Legacy. How I can open the app?
This navbar overlay does not work correctly on Pixel 2 XL. It renders the home button as a tiny colorful dot. Emailed developer and all he said was "this is strange". I even offered to help him diagnose the issue so he could make an update but he stopped responding. I guess he doesn't care...
Very nice and smooth, once I figured it out. Just kinda wondering where the home button animations and Google Assistant support for a long home button press are.

Nice. But the colour of the navigation buttons doesn't changes to black when switching from dark to light background (as happens with Android stock navigation) please add that functionality. please
If you want the pixel navbar or similar icons but better, this is de facto the best substratum theme for it. }
Great application, really brought some new life to my 6P. One suggestion, there's another application on the Play Market called Pixel Navbar with animations. If you made a Navbar that had the thin circle (or the Google pixel styled Navbar) without the filling inside, and the recent/back button remained solid it would pair very well with this app!
I'm on legacy and nothing is working. I can install it, but after reboot it doesn't work.
Great app, sometimes home button turns back to original on gs8+. Also anyway to make invisible navbar(no icons)thanks
Device has to be rooted which he doesn't clarity. Don't bother if your device isnt rooted

Great app..but only one thing..in mini dots view of navbar please make the color of dots full white..its off white.. else its cool..
It disappeared after I made a phone call and when I re installed it then it is not coming
