I've been using this app for years, including the paid version. One of the smoothest interfaces, simply organized by album cover. I kid you not, whenever my friends open up this app in the car, they are blown away by how beautifully the music is presented when compared to other apps. The advanced features are also exceptional, and that's coming from someone who has been producing music for a decade now. Love this app, excellent work n7!
The interface is terrible. It shows the wrong song playing all the time, and makes it very confusing to select next song. Even uninstallation or restarting doesn't solve the problem. Also the exit from the program is quite messy. Potentially a good piece of software, but marred by bugs and an obvious lack of commitment from the developers to fix problems. At best, try it out, but don't expect much. At worst, avoid completely.
The player and its library capabilities are nice. Love that I'm not marketed to and notified of things constantly. This is mostly why I picked this player (No marketing and ads). However, 2 annoyances are: 1) the music doesn't stop if you close the app. Especially annoying when it starts on it's own for whatever reason and you have to go search for the app on your phone then hit pause. 2) the app navigation is quirky. Not very fluid.
I've been using this app for several years, different versions. Mostly I like it quite a bit because n7 can play all my music file formats. It's simple to use and has unique interface with artist displayed as text or album art covers. I like the balance control and the mono option. Ten band EQ is nice also. What I don't like is no matter which version I've used or which device, it's always the same the EQ stops working after a few songs This needs to fixed!! EQ is useless keeps crashing!!
If you go into an album/artist page from search the only way to get back to the main menu is to completely close and reboot the app, shuffle and "play next" don't work very well, music streaming also requires you to download another app (which is terrible and half in Russian) and doesn't work at all which is a total waste of time. Every update that solves some problems (and admittedly does very nice things to the UI) causes different problems.
This app solved a long time problem for me with missing album covers and the same image being used for half of my library, and the interface is very good. the only issue is that the home screen being the "surface" is unappealing and a setting to change the default screen to your library rather than a collage list of artist names would make this app pretty much perfect.
This is a helluva free music app. I have tried a lot of other music app. There a few that's good. But not as great as this one. The only thing Yall need to do. Is make this app. where we could watch our movies thru it with the same sound. Don't change anything just add to it. Let us be able to watch movies. And watch how people leave mx player and vlc player behind. But make sure you add the pop up window to it. So we can watch the movie and do other things at the same time. Thanks for you.
I bought the app due it's possibility to work with compilations. Also i like the look and feel of the app. Sad to say it wasn't worth it, the app crashes during the scan of the select folder again again and again.... The Routine that shopuld collect the mp3 tags into the library seems completely rubbish. For now, it's NOT working at all.
I really like this app's approach re: a tag cloud UI. It's an all around great music player. However, I'm not a fan of apps that require phone permission, even for something like checking a license. I bought the paid version of the app and in-app upgrade to support the dev, but find the constant nag popup about giving it phone permissions super annoying.
I'm not a huge fan of the surface interface, at least let us theme the text color so it's less in your face. But I only bought this app to play music while I'm on a call and it looks like it works great at task! If there were a way to login to streaming music services like Amazon through the app so we can stream while on a call, this app would be 👌🏼
Great player. Beautiful and unique management of music through Surface UI, there is also classic Library view if you like it more. Natively recognises Opus files. I've run into two problems so far. First "Now playing" isn't available in Library view mode (it used to be in earlier ver). And second for many artists it downloaded wrong image and it can't be changed (I'm referring to artist image in library, not album cover).
Had this for years. Best sound control from any other player. The theft protection check is a bit much. I've gotten on flights and it's useless. I have to make sure it's active before boarding. Hope he thinks of another way. Many users seem to have problems but I've been good on my note 8. It sounds awesome at home with a Bluetooth link and my home audio system.
I rounded up from 2.5 stars. It's a good player with tons of features but the following are reasons why no 5 stars. -0.5 for no clear paid/free feature list. It starts in demo paid mode so you're not sure if you're using a paid feature. There is also unclear distinction between in-app purchases and unlocker app. -2 stars because the ads stop playback - sure it has ads in free mode, fine. But when it finishes, playback doesn't resume. You can be listening happily and end up in silence from the ad
A great little player but an update would be nice for the following issues: warnings of extremely high battery usage, crossfade being buggy (song will noticeably pause before the crossfade), audio will also stutter and get "choppy." This is on a Samsung Galaxy s9+. App has a beautiful interface though and a great smart list function. One thing I'd like to see is how many times I played a song as there's a most-played list but I cannot find the actual numbers.
This player deserves 5 stars, but the following issues are really bothering me, plus my mail to their help center is still un answered, for 3 weeks. The issues are 1. Cannot arrange the library in last modified mode, after scanning all the albums /artists gets shuffled, thus very difficult to pin point the lastest albums added, this issue happens in all modes, like artists. 2. Albums with multiple, collaborations, gets hayware and becomes individual albums or artists, this is highly irritating.
The order of songs with albums where are two and more disks sometimes isn't correct. The two very first songs from every disk may follow after each other or may not. It's confusing and annoying. Tags are ok in both cases. What is more, I'm not able to arrange the order of albums as I wish to. What's wrong with adding option to sort them by year? The look of main page and inside the band is too chaotic
Loved this app at first during the trial, then paid for the full version, and within an hour or so of using it at a sports event tailgate, it stopped working. Tried force closing it to no avail, using it after about a half hour of not using it, and just now couldn't even get folders to open it hours later, at home, on my wifi (not that an internet connection is even necessary to use it). Could not be more disappointed and expect my $4 to be refunded.
this app really deserved 5 stars for it's uniqueness, equalizer, etc etc but ever since i did a firmware update (s9+ went to the Samsung one ui) The app has been glitching. the worst thing that is happening as i type is my music stops randomly.... it happens maybe 2x in a 10 minute internal, so 2 or 3 songs which is very annoying. idk if the app isn't supported anymore or what but it's the app compatibility to the new ui, i used my tidal to make sure it's not my devices and it's the app.
Used it for like 10 years now, but now it does not put into library the mp3 files even though you already RESCANNED it, you have to go into file folders then OPEN WITH N7 - and thats the only way you could add it in N7 library (its fine with one or 2 songs, but if you downloaded like a dozen, then, its a bit of a task). NOW.. downloaded mp3 directly to device cannot be added into N7 library even if i already payed for premium and uninstalled and reinstalled it many times already, HELP
Would be really great to see a better adaptive color palette for album arts on now playing and an option to have it throughout the whole app Instead of the default colors outside of now playing. Maybe an option to have the whole now playing blurred too. Other than that I love this music app immensely.
The way the albums are displayed is unique and makes it easier to look through your catalog. However, the app is way too slow and buggy. It takes time to load, and then takes time to do the simple task of adding a song to a Playlist... which, by the way, is buggy as heck. They don't sync properly and I have been trying to delete a Playlist forever and it does not do it. I even went to the Playlist folder and deleted it there but it still shows up. It does not handle Playlists well.
