Freezes all the time for long periods. Camera is always disconnecting. If you walk through the troubleshooting it basically assumes the problem is on your end despite this just being an inferior product/ application. There are plenty of other similar products out there, my recommendation would be to research those and see if you can save yourself some frustration. Edit: Their reply is exactly what I'm talking about. I have restarted all my devices multiple times, because that's part of IT 101.

Worked well for awhile. Unfortunately, the frame rate began to slow, and there are constant connectivity issues. I've uninstalled the app, disconnected and reconnected the device itself, and turned it off and on again several times. All of which temporarily solve the connectivity issues, but don't last. Not sure I would recommend.

How the hell does an app give you a notification you cant disable, for an event that occured in the past. I cant believe I paid this much money to get hit with "connection lost 10 minutes ago" regularly. Oh yeah also buffering constantly, have to restart the app to get an up to date temp, if it *is* up to date, nothing like seeing it magically jump 6 degrees in a second. I am stuck with this but I will be sure to tell any friends and coworkers with a new baby to get a different system.

We have two nanit cameras and the experience has become worse and worse over the two years we have had them. Constant video and audio buffering, frequent notification that the app connection is lost but it isn't, and camera randomly unpairs with our wifi. Support is responsive but can't fix any of the problems. Latest response from them stated there is an app update coming in a week to fix these issues but I haven't seen it and it's been two weeks.

The app worked.great for the first month. Now I get constant buffering issues every 5 -10 seconds. I've run through the trouble shooting, restarted the Nanit and my network, forced the WiFi bands, decreased bandwidth, and moved the router within a few feet of the Nanit and nothing has fixed the issue. When I works it's great, but considering this is a baby monitor I shouldn't have to use "when" as a qualifier to describe it's performance, especially at this price.

I have ambivalent feelings about this app and camera. As others mentioned, there seem to be some stability issues with the connection, and without an extra subscription, the camera and equipment are grossly overpriced for what they can do. The app itself has some really odd user interface decisions. For example, you can only start breathing/activity tracking from the main screen, but to turn on background noise, you need to go into video full screen mode. It just makes it very inconsistent and inconvenient to use. Overall, the ability to track breathing and movement can provide quite a bit peace of mind. Update: It has happened quite a number of times that the video feed of tha app won't load on some of our devices [on the same network] but on others it will. This level of unreliability for a subscription app that has an important function is not acceptable.

The app used to be occasionally glitchy now it's constant! We've resorted to using a different monitor. And yes... I check for updates every time I use it but they don't fix the issues, the sound only works occasionally. Our devices show different temperatures at the same time and the image glitches with a red circle in the middle.

Great when it works. There seem to be constant connectivity issues as of late. If you are tech savvy and have the right network equipment, you can block nanit camera access to the internet. This forces them into local network only mode and then they work flawlessly. (But you need to unblock for remote viewing) Otherwise, nanit sends all the camera traffic to their server and your devices access it from there. This is annoying when you don't use features that require the servers.

Hugely regret choosing nanit. The product is not fit for purpose, the purpose being monitoring your baby. The app constantly fails, shows video with a significant lag, shows a loading sign and no video. The insights are nice, but not enough to make its unreliability not matter. I have tried everything suggested to improve it but it's clearly the product at fault from reading other reviews - we have fast, reliable broadband which works for everything else.

We love this system, the app is an important interface with the monitor, but it is so much more! The algorithm will monitor the baby's breaths and will alarm you if there's inconsistency! The support is also fast and to the point - if there's a connection issue, that not necessary means that the issue is across the network, but a simple unplugging and plugging back will help most of the times. We use it for almost 2.5 years and very HAPPY with Nanit.

Constant connection issues since the most recent update. I have gotten a notification in the middle of the night for the past week that my connection has stopped. My husband and I both are having to restart the app multiple times in a row before we can get the video feed to work, and on several occasions have had to uninstall/reinstall the app, or restart our phones. Since the new upgrade, the video feed will "pause" with no connection then play like it is in fast-forward to catch up to realtime

It used to be great, now is worse than useless. The app might load properly, and you might be able to get the sound to work. All will seem well for a bit, but then the app will fail overnight and cease operation. It wasn't always like this, it used to run (almost) flawlessly. I would absolutely not recommend this camera until the issues so many describe are eliminated.

It works, but it also doesn't I hope Nanit is working on an app upgrade. I've been trying to connect to audio for a month to no avail. The camera constantly freezes. Even when I use the app to turn the camera on and off, it doesn't always work. It's very frustrating. We bought two cameras and stands because we liked the features, now I wish we had bought a different system. Very disappointed, especially considering the cost.

It would have been a great product if the app worked properly. Buffering time is a nightmare so I usually hear baby crying well ahead of listening to it trough the app, despite having fast WiFi. I often don't seem to be able to turn on/off night light, white noise and most of all, to regulate the volume of the white noise which is too loud to fall asleep. Very dissapointed given the high price of this product. Please sort your app out.

It was great the couple of days I used it where it didn't lag by 10 minutes. A lot can happen in 10 minutes. This is a serious issue. I went and took a bottle out of the crib and it still shows it on the live feed even though when I watch the video history, i see myself take it out. So how is it in the video history yet not the live feed 🤔 I get notifications of movement and sound and When I view the live feed the baby is just laying there sleeping. This needs to be fixed!!

Not happy with the latest update. To preface, I have a Samsung tablet and a Samsung phone. I continue to recieve alerts that the nanit app will not work on older iOS devices. Not only does that not effect me, the alert pops up continuously throughout the day. Beyond frustrated with this app and camera system. This is just the latest reason that keeps pushing me to ditch the camera and app.

The sleepsack is not the best quality. Mine came broken... There are also sometimes issues with connectivity and it uses a large amount of GB to stream. Otherwise, I love the set up. Install was easy and straightforward. The angle above the crib is optimal and wiring is hidden well. It would be nice to have roll over alerts and breathing pattern tracking. Considering camera $, would be nice to at least have a week worth of tracking info avail (instead of 2 days).

The app is very annoying. Why turning on/off the light is 4 clicks every time? Why do I need to wait for the live video in order to do that? Why can't it be an async command? Also determine the light strength by the bar is annoying as it's not precised and timer can only be set to specific times and not a custom ones (i.e. I'd like to be able to auto turn it off in 2 or 5 min or any interval really). Activity notification is sent even when nothing is happening. Not worth the ~300$ price.

Hopefully will save people from making a mistake. The Nanit is getting worse with every update. Constant freezing of video and reconnections. Freezing in the middle of the night (defeating the purpose of a monitor). Glad it comes with a year of basic service to convince you to never upgrade or pay more into it.

The camera is great, works really well in the dark - we can easily see what Alexander is doing. The motion and sound alerts are too sensitive, even with the sensitivity turned right down - it alerts for us walking around the bedroom and for sounds from outside the bedroom. It knows whether the baby is in the crib - it tells us when he fell asleep and woke up - so it needs to disable the alerts when the baby isn't on the crib. If the alerts we're better I'd rate it 5 stars.

Same as everyone else in the last few months: disconnections (without so much as a courtesy reconnect) several times per night. All I want is for the background audio to play through the night, is that so hard? Would be a 5-star app if it was just reliable, but if it can't do the basic task I need it to do to determine if my child is in distress, it doesn't deserve even a 2nd star.

A year in and without the subscription it literally guts the entire reason you would buy this device. Literally turns this into a $50 camera and forces you to pay $130 extra dollars a year in order to use it the same way. What a sham. Small quality of life changes and this is a 5 star app. Screen doesnt flip when video is full screen, and the "do not remind me" again checkboxes do nothing and I continue to be reminded of nonsense things.

For how much I paid for this camera, the constant connectivity issues are ridiculous. Everytime there is an update on the app it takes atleast a day or 2 to be able to use the camera because it won't connect or load. We try everything to fix the issue, power cycling, resetting modem and router, disconnecting the camera from the stand, restarting the app, power cycling the devices. We have this issue on both android and apple products and it's so frustrating.

WHAT HAPPENED. I used to love this system and recommend it to all my new parent friends. Now it is very expensive trash. App connectivity issues are near constant. I can almost deal with that, but I pay monthly for insights and my daughter got out of bed last night, yet there is absolutely no video or activity log of this! This system is so costly and encourages some form of monthly subscription but you will not get what you pay for. Would not repurchase.

Horrible app. My husband and I have the same exact phone yet this app always seems to mess up for me. In the middle of the night it will just freeze, say poor connection (when no electronics w/ wifi are running), and often crashes. I love the notifications it pushes just hate the app itself. And yes, I update it whenever an update is available hoping these glitches will be fixed!

In theory this product should be excellent but the app bugs out all the time (over 3 different phones so we know it's not a phone issue. It constantly drops out of WiFi connection when there are no connection issues. Please get the app issues sorted out. Given how 'elite' it is trying to portray itself it fails on the fundamentals.

Always have a sense of ease with the way nanit is set. I really like that there are achievements and goals that really help me keep track of my son's sleeping habits. The only issue I seem to have is the voice not working every time I try to speak with him ( might have to do with our internet connection). Other than that, this is great! We are already talking about switching him to his own room!

Super buggy - which is problematic for a baby monitoring system. App frequently (multiple times a night) just shuts off without any notification. The video often has a hard time loading. And generally speaking, there's no way to see baby in the event that power or wifi cuts out. While having a phone-based monitor is lovely for a working and traveling mom, a system that is not as reliant on wifi with a separate handheld monitor would have been a more prudent choice.

We had been so incredibly happy with our Nanit until the recent May 2022 update. Since this update we have many disconnects during the night, the white noise randomly starts at super loud volume, the camera constantly has issues loading and eventually just fails. The only resolution from the Nanit team seems to be to do a factory reset which frankly isn't a solution at 2am when your baby is sleeping. So disappointing. This is an expensive piece of equipment that shouldn't be this buggy.

Only been using for 4 months or so...Wanted to love it but don't -We have a basic audio monitor that picks up sounds immediately & nanit has a 1 second or so delay on sound - but the video lag has been almost a minute..! That's a HUGE lag for when we are checking on our baby to see if he is okay. -"Do not show again" option for nanit's 'advice' notifications does nothing -Inaccurate information on insights of what happened -Difference in temp/humidity displays between my and my partners screen
