DO NOT SUBSCRIBE THRU GOOGLE PLAY!!!! I was excited to subscribe via GP given other subscriptions I have and the great success and simplicity of their use. That is furthest from the case here with NDN and Google Play. I have not been able to figure out how to log on and obtain the subscription content. App tells me I am not a subscriber. NDN and Gannet refuse to help as the subscription was on Google Play. Google Play can not help and refuses to refund a cancellation because "it doesn't meet with [their] policy". Google's bot recommended I post this review for the benefit of the developer rather than provide assistance. The situation and factset are so bad that it seems almost fraudulent! Once again, Big Corporations "Winner", Little Guy "Loser".
This app constantly logs out and you have to log in each time you access it. Needs feature to stay logged in / save password so when you click a notification it logs in automatically instead of having to reenter password each time.
The app constantly wants me to subscribe or sign in, although I have been a subscriber for years. It can't seem to remember me. Sometimes it offers only 'subscribe', not even offering a sign in. This is very irritating.
Nearly every story is for subscribers only and then they say, "only .99 for 6 months!" However every time u try to take advantage of this offer, it is a LIE. False advertising.
It says I need to subscribe...no where to sign in. I really feel like unsubscribing but can't figure out how to do that. Can't seem to find my account either. Very frustrating.
Having to supply your password every time you want to open the app is time consuming. Most good apps alow you to stay logged in on a trusted device.
Don't waste your time. Says it is a free app but as soon as you go into an article it wants you to sign up for a subscription. It doesn't even let you read the article
It just doesn't work. The previous version - from about a month ago - worked fine.
Unprofessional. No way to manage account though no worse than the truly awful website. News reporting just as terrible.
Very confusing to navigate. I cannot find the Dear Abby column.😭
Was a nice local news app till it wasn't free anymore.
Low quality, politically biased, relatively expensive, broken comments for years, and multiple insulting emailed surveys asking us to rate the non existent comments system. Rework your website, fix the bugs in your app, get some balance in your reporting, and maybe it'll be worth what you're charging...
Snow bird that likes to keep up. This app does it.
Can't read anything without paid subscription
I think that it offers myself who lives in California an idea of what it is like to live on the other side of tha U.S.I like it.

it is interesting to see the stories about Naples from Los Angeles.
Stinks as subscribers can't sign in to use it.
I cannot get any info on account mgt. This is an important function to me.

I enjoy your articles but it seems like the same ones appear over and over for a few days at a time. it becomes annoying after a while. any way to make the actual newspaper available on this app without digging into the abise to try and find it? would be nice to see some of the ads and other parts if the paper.
