I couldn't find the switch in the mine to continue with the story. I did max out my character so the enemies went from super hard to super easy so I just quit the game. Note to the developer: please add the switch in the mine so that people can complete the story. Update: I restarted the game from the beginning and found the switch. Very good game!
Being able to keep quest items for yourself instead of taking the reward. The open world, characters, story are great. Side quest, main quest. This has been completely ad free. So far i have 15 hours on my save file an im still not done. My only gripe is the movement can be clunky, I was able to adjust but it could be better. U can fail some quest which makes it worth a replay. There is also 2 ways to do the main story. I love this game i dont have the space to write what i want. I recommend it!
Loved the game! Just finished playing it. The map is big and the landscape is beautiful. Really reminded me of the elder scrolls. Though the game physics and mechanics are terribly outdated, which is understandable for a game this old. After playing for a while it doesn’t bother much though. The quests and plot are all really good. Great job!
Great first person RPG. Developer has done a great job making a introductory RPG. Having a detailed and updated quest book is the best idea for mobile which is a pickup, put down platform. One improvement is to let the player know what the purpose of the attributes are. They are not obvious in the game. Also I did not find better pants than leather. Not sure if there is a sequel but I'll be looking/hoping for one.
I am kinda new to this kind of game, but what I can see this game was made from heart. That's the 5 star for! Expect an open-word well crafted PlayStation 1 graphic in a medieval kingdom era in first person. Controls aren't so much weird, walk is too slow for an open world game(but what do I know), camera movement is in inversed by default(up and down). And you will not be able to navigate in game pause menu, if you have in screen navigation bar
After some time and quests, I have to say, you can really tell the dev put some time into this. The wording is a little verbose but appropriate for the role and really adds to the immersion, and if you're having too difficult of a time, you can always harvest herbs and upgrade your equipment. Dev response edit: with the rendering, I figured as much and explained it to my bf... it's great with resources for performance. I'd be happy to share direct feedback! It's well balanced/surprisingly fun.
I give this 5 stars, the game is simple and amazingly challenging. And also, the fact that the developer is responsive to criticism is one of the reasons why I downloaded it. "As I slowly become stronger, I started killing everything." is how I describe it, though, sometimes reading dialogues can be somewhat difficult because of its overly detailed context, though I understand it atleast. Also sometimes I get stuck on the logs.. which i am sometimes struggling to get out, I get out of it tho.
This is a fun little 1st person rpg game. Reminds me of daggerfall (combat and dungeon entrance shapes especially) more than morrowind. Impressive that the developer built the engine and the game. Worth playing, it's like a mini Elder Scrolls game. A few hours of overworld questing and some tense dungeon crawls. No ads, free, no crashes, try it! Edit: very cool, I'll have to find the painting!
I miss TES and roaming open worlds murdering everything I see, and Naroth was the app game fix I needed. Impressed that the dev built the engine and (free and ad-free) game by himself, which added to my enjoyment of/respect for Naroth. Issues: That there's not more of it! & that I'm unable to finish the main quest because an inventory item disappeared- just like in Skyrim! So I reloaded an earlier save. If you can't figure out to save often, move while you're fighting, etc. go play a match 3.
Had to change my rating from 4 stars to 5. This game is pretty fun and well thought out. The graphics are old school, but that doesnt bother me because game play is what matters. The controls need work though, because Its hard to move and fight at the same time. Also make this game have controller support that would be awesome.
The visuals are good, but gameplay is not easy. The game is bad 3d as monster approach you and kill you. Monsters are not shown on map. You have to everytime save the game and load a saved version as unkillable monsters kill you in one shot out of nowhere. It gets boring trying to load a saved version every 2 minutes.
Amazing Open-World RPG game. Love the old fashioned graphics, and the story is wonderful! I do have some suggestions, how about adding like levels if you do specific things (Ex: fishing or woodcutting) and you can sell the meterial for gold and get exp from doing said activity. This game has potential, and i hope you steer it into the right path.
I've had a blast of a time with this game! 6/5 Well balanced. (Char. dev.) The dungeon thrill experience. Damn! Combination of sounds and light/darkness! Put on headphones! The sounds in general are great and pleasant. (I mute music in most games so I enjoyed the sounds only) The storyline was decent, with a few twists. Ending quite sucked though. A little big too long dialogues. Is there an actual possibility to have a bowman that can handle the dungeons? What is the purpose of intelligence?
Thank you! I absolutely love this game. It brings back soo many awesome memories. I have no idea what everyone is whining about. I've had zero issues with loading, saving, gameplay. Sure the monsters are tough at lvl 1. There supposed to be. My favorite thing is I get to play alone. I don't have to worry about some 13 year old getting daddy's credit card and becoming an overnight superhero. Beautiful job. You earned every star! Thanks again for a great escape from reality.
Considering how this was mostly made by a singular person, it is decidedly brilliant. One of the best RPGs I've had the pleasure of playing on android. Potential Improvements: more natural conversations with post-quest NPCs, a means to access story-locked content, something to do with all of my excess money (even something silly like an invisible sword), some reasonable post-game content (maybe an arena of increasingly difficult NPCs?), maybe a reputation system for # of quests completed. TY Dev
Reminiscent fun! I've been looking for something old school like this. Once I figured out how to look for levers (they are always at the same height on the wall) and how to stick and move in tough fights, the game opened up and was great fun. Now that I've finished it, I wish this dev had similar games. I'll play it through at least once more.
Four stars for being an okay game. I was completely lost and never strong enough to kill anything. Confusing and a complete waste of my time. Needs a tutorial and a way to know what to do next. Has potential.
Okay. First of all, this is probably the best open world dungeon game that I have ever played. And I've been playing for thirty five years. Great controls, great dungeons, great quests, and great story. The only suggestion that I have is to put some cross hairs for that bow! And also, please, please, please, develop a naroth two!
I love this game and this specific style, but I do find the inverted controls a bit difficult and the graphics and ui aren't the best, but the game overall is great. I love that you can do a backstory for the character. But it would help if you could customize it as well. Other than that 4/5 game.
It's an amazing RPG. Captivating plot, etc. Plus it can be really and maybe unintentionally scary at times especially in the, Early Game, but that's what you'd get if fantasy creatures actually exist. Anyways, the characters are humorous, the enemies are, as said earlier, pretty scary, but then again it's realistic. 5/5 play this game please.
Very cute casual roguelike. Very interesting story and characters! There is a wide variety of fun quests and interesting places to explore. The game is well-balanced and progression is fluid. The combat is very dry due to a lack of diversity. The controls are incredibly rigid. The graphics are below average. The sound effects repeat constantly and are of poor quality.
